It is easy to install. The system includes 650 Ft boundary wire that can be expanded to more land with the purchase of additional wires. There is a 90-day money back guarantee and a lifetime warranty for each product that you purchase from the company. If you have any issues or concerns, please contact them.
👤The wire was tiny. It seems to be working well so far. When our dogs run off when we aren't looking, we hear a lot of crying and low moans, and one of them tried to cross it. I don't think we will have any more problems after that. Customer service has been excellent. They offered a used kit to send us for free, so we could buy another one. We will be waiting for that. I'm pretty happy.
👤The setup was easy, but the testing was confusing because the system didn't detect the collar every time. The wire is very thin and snapped twice. I'm not very pleased that I put the collar on my dogs. The system was set at 30 then 10 and never worked again. At one point my dog sat on the wire. I will return the product if I get the same results with the new wire I already have.
👤We wanted an alternative for our old dog to be able to be in the front yard with us, but she tends to wander off. Since our deed restriction doesn't allow fences in front yards, this is a great way to do that. It was easy to set up after a rain storm. The charge stays for a long time and the shock does not hurt her. I like that it has two collars so we can always have one ready for her. She is in the yard with us as we relax.
👤Product worked well for me. I used a twisted wire to get my dogs to walk over it and a heavier wire to finish the last 100 ft. The supplied wire is thinner and cheaper than the ones I used. The fence is buried under 750 feet. At the side of my house and along the road, I created a loop in the shape of an L. The green light blinks when I turn the collars off. The red light blinks. It will be okay, but I saw it a little backwards.
👤So far, so good. It was very easy to setup. We have had it for a couple of weeks and it works great. The 95 lbs Labrabull won't go near the wood fence that he has been jumping on. He is breaking our fence. I love it!
👤It was very easy to install. I have been using for a week without any issues with my fence jumping pups. The wire has held up well for the price. I charge the collars after 3 days. When the dogs are let out periodically during the day, they are taken off when inside. I had a problem with the kit's adapter that was supposed to be used for both collars and the transmitter. After contacting the sellers, they offered a used kit to solve the problem and were quick to respond to messages. Customer service is the most helpful I've ever experienced. The used kit arrived today and is pictured. It has taken awhile, but it is definitely true.

👤The wire was laid out around a small part of the house. The 16 gauge PetSafe wire was much stronger than the 20 gauge wire. We tested the system before burying the wire. I read the entire manual on how to set up the system after watching many videos. The signal was not consistent in YardMax. Sometimes it corrected when crossing the boundary, but in other places it didn't do anything. It didn't give any warning in the traditional mode. It started to correct near the boundary wire. We were still getting inconsistent results even after moving out fence wire away from theirs, even though our neighbors have an in-ground fence that runs off an FM signal that interfered at some parts. The most important aspect of an invisible fence is consistency, and this system is not consistent in either setting. If you buy this system, make sure to test it all around your yard before burying the wire. I left a review on the PetSafe website. I received an email that said my review was live, but it was not on their website. They admitted that they took down my review because they wanted to trouble shoot the issue with me. It should be easy to make your own kit out of the box without having to call a company. Negative reviews are dishonest to remove.
👤Two other brands did not work for us. We should have started with PetSafe because we had friends that used their units well. They give the dog more "zap" for being stubborn. This one has an infinite "zap" zone that goes beyond the wire, so if a dog is willing to put up with a few seconds of "zap" to get out of the fence, this one keeps zapping. Our dog was kept out of the yard by this unit. We got a portable unit because we took this camping. It worked well, but you have to read on. Sometimes the unit would randomly zap our dog. It got him good when he was close to the yard. We took the collar off. We had to return the unit because that can't happen. It is the best system out there. Maybe the non-battery powered unit works better.
👤The majority of the yard was attached to wire fencing and we ordered the upgraded black wire. We were buried under gates. We had to trench for 7 gates because we have several pastures and 2 driveways in our yard. We didn't want to hit the fence with the weed eater because the rest of the fencing is zip-tied. Only one training session was taken by our dogs. Our dogs were fence jumpers and could clear 5-foot no-climb fencing from standing. I haven't charged a collar for a year because he doesn't test it. He is waiting to be invited. The other will approach the fence if he doesn't hear a warning, so we keep his collar charged. The original batteries are still on. This fence is very good. If you are installing above ground, I suggest getting the upgraded wire.
There is no wire toBURY. A wireless boundary is a great way to protect your pets without the hassle of wires. The circular boundary range should be adjusted from the placement of the indoor transmitter. The display has a liquid display. The screen on which you can see how far your pet's play area expands has warning indicators to let you know if there is an error. There are 5 levels of correction. You can choose from 5 levels of static correction. If your pet crosses the boundary, static-free return allows your pet to return home. The redemption receiver is a redemption COLLAR. The wireless fence system has a waterproof receiver collar that fits dogs up to 5 lbs and adjusts to fit neck sizes 6-28. Set up your new wireless fence in 1-2 hours to give your dog a secure area. It's accessible. This portable fence can be taken with you when you go camping or travel in your RV.
👤Money and time are wasted. It was easy to setup. The dogs were adapted to the boundaries well. The inconsistent signal caused the receiver to shock our dogs for no reason. The wind would blow and shock them if they were within 10 feet of the transmitter. They would be shocked when they were laying in their kennel. It would shock them if they played in the yard on a sunny day. After trial and error, you have to call the helpline. I decided to return it. The idea of a wireless transmitter is great, but the manufacturer needs to up the signal game to make it more efficient.
👤The collar doesn't work. The old Petsafe device died when my dog was 12 years old. The device seemed easy to use, and my dog responded well to the initial sound. She was going beyond the boundary after 2 mos. I have turned off the unit and tried to pair it. The collar does not shock. I put my hand on it. I am out $300 because I didn't fill out the warranty or return the device before 30 days. I am angry. Unless someone makes this right, I will have to rethink my purchases on Amazon.
👤I was surprised by the negative reviews on this product. We have been using it for 2 years and love it. We live in Alaska and many of our friends have bought the same unit so we can bring our dogs to each other's houses without the problem of all the dogs running off in the woods. Sometimes we had as many as 8 dogs using the unit at once. Our dog is not a runner now that we have this unit. We walked him around the flagged property to show him where he could go. When we let him go, he bolted but never again. After moving from one part of Alaska to another, we plugged the unit into our truck and let him out in a parking lot. He knows he's getting too far when he hears the beep. The unit is large. We brought it to friends houses, plugged it in, and let him run free, we also brought it to a bar and let him run free. After so many months of using our new home, he knows his boundaries and sometimes he goes out without his collar. The first unit stopped working after a year. We called customer service, and a second one was sent. It was hard to get free shipping, but living in an area where the dog could get caught in traps made it hard. I was able to talk them into it. I highly recommend this unit. It has changed our dog's life. He is happy without a leash. It's free! He won't walk out of his boundaries without me, so I say "stay close" when I am walking him out of his area. You have to remember to turn it off when you ride in a car.
Protect the outdoors. The pet barrier is designed to keep your pets away from places you want them to avoid. Purchase additional barriers to keep your cats and dogs away from an unlimited number of areas. There are two options for setting up the setup. You can use boundary wire to create a barrier up to 150 feet away or you can use a wireless setup. There is a safe correction. When your pet enters the off limits area, the transmitter sends a static correction to their collar. An unlimited number of pets can be added to the system if they are wearing a PetSafe Pawz Away Receiver Collar. The waterproof receiver is light. It is designed for dogs over 5 pounds with neck sizes between 6 and 28 inches. Waterproof culvert: The transmitter is hidden and blends into your landscape. There are comparable products. YardMax Rechargeable In-Ground, Pawz Away Extra Indoor/Outdoor Collar, and Pawz Away Mini Pet Barrier are some of the items that are included. YardMax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence Rechargeable Collar.
👤The only thing that keeps me and the cat happy is this product. PetSafe would rather rip people off at $35 a time. The product dies when the original battery dies. I thought the first one was just a lemon, but after three, I realized it was a shoddy product that doesn't last beyond one battery cycle. We've spent about $200 on this money pit. I'd pay more for something that will last. PetSafe seems content to nickel and dime its customers until they realize the scam, instead of charging more for a better product.
👤This product works. It doesn't work as described. We have had success with this product and our pets. It performs well in some situations. Not much in others. The maximum area that this device can cover is 12 feet. This is not accurate. The shock collar kicks in somewhere between 3-6 feet away from the transmitter. I suppose you could say it has a diameter of around 12 feet, but it feels like a lot less. The small area that the device can cover and compounded with the collar only letting out a shock after the pet has been within range for over 3 seconds, gives your pets the chance to either gain access to an item or do some damage before they meet any resistance. The pins on the collar will not shock your pet's fur. The area of your pet's neck that the collar pins will be touching is the one you need to shave. This can't be used to keep your pet out of an area or to contain them in an area. Our animals quickly learned that if they dart past it quickly, they will be safe on the other side, since the shock only kicks in after 3 seconds. If you have a small couch, chair, desk, or item that you want your pets to stay away from, it does work well. The instructions say not to leave the collar on your pet for more than 12 hours. Your pet cannot learn the rules if the rules are not always in place. We have left the collar on our pets for many days at a time and they have not shown any signs of irritation or discomfort.
👤I bought this product for an indoor cat that had defeated every other attempt I had made to keep him off the kitchen counter and dining room table. He has a basket of toys, window perches, and a cat tree, but he just loves jumping on our counter. The cat knows how to sneak up behind the Ssscat motion detecting spray canisters and knock them out. He did the same thing with the motion. I tried using double sided tape, but he was able to peel it off with his teeth. I finally bought two of the PetSafe barriers and put one under the dining room table and the other under the kitchen sink after a long arms race. The cat knows where the barriers are, but as soon as he hears the warning, he gets out of range. He occasionally looks for the perimeters that are listening for the beeps, but rarely allows himself to get zapped. I'm sure he'll need to wear the collar on and off for a long time due to his perimeter checks, but I'm happy with the solution. The collar was limiting the range of motion of his neck, so I swapped it out for an actual cat collar.
The dog fence is wireless. The digital dog fence can help to train dogs to live in their own space, and keep your furniture and daily necessities clean and tidy, especially keep your pets away from the uneasy of living in a real fence. Make sure that your dogs stay in the area, you will never have to worry about anything when you go outside. It can be used for dog training. The fence area is intelligent. The electric pet fence system is safe for pets. It was convenient to establish a safe area for pet activities because it completely got rid of wiring. The remote control range can be adjusted with 100 levels of transmitter signal intensity. Its remote control range is 25 to 500 meters and it has coverage up to 78 hectares. Your dog can go anywhere in this large space. The wireless receiver collar has a high capacity battery which is rechargeable, and it is made of waterproof material, which means your dog can get wet in the grass, mess with the sprinkler. The receiver collar has a strap that supports most sizes of dogs. How it works. The receiver will sound a warning sound every 2 seconds if your dog is running beyond the control range. After the third warning sound, start static shock in a low level. The receiver will stop working if your dogs stay outside the specified area. The receiver will not harm the dog or its hair because it operates at a voltage of 3.7V and emits static electricity. The product's design can deal with all types of terrain. Multiple receivers can work at the same time. If you need further assistance, please contact them.
👤The first charge was for over four hours. It was unplugged and sync fine. The transmitters lights are not on. I tried to reset and replenish but it didn't work out.
👤After 30 days, stop working. When the box was plugged in, it didn't always work outside.
👤It was broken into pieces. Not even usable.
👤The batter stays charged. The product never worked.
MULTI-FUNCTION SYSTEM The range is decided by you, at 30/60/90/ 150/300 meters. When your pet leaves this range, the receiver collar will give a warning sound and a static electric shock. It is important toFamiliarize your pet with the functions they are trained to do in training mode. Please follow the safety set up video. They offer a set-up video that can be watched on YouTube, written instructions can be found with your kit, and they provide incredibly detailed safety set up instructions. They recommend following the safety set-up system to ensure maximum efficacy of your wireless dog fence and ultimately maximum safety for your precious pet. There is a raining mode. The number 1, 2, or 3 will be displayed on the screen. The collar of the dog is represented by these numbers. The system has two collars. The keys are "+" or "-". Make sure to train your dog on the new boundary so that they know when they have crossed and to return home. Some dogs will take a moment to understand but once they do this fence will be the ultimate safety device. The system shows the distance in meters. Press the blue buttons to select the appropriate size. There will be variation because of other obstacles. Follow the instructions for safe use. The sound, vibration, and shock buttons are on the right side of the transmitter. The higher the number, the longer the function will run. Your new dog fence adopts a 2.4 GHz frequency without interfering with your other devices. It must be tested and set up according to the instructions included in the book. The system includes a transmitter and two receivers for each reflective stripe dog collar. This will save you time and money. Your dog will thank you for the freedom and time spent with you.
👤The training collar has a battery in it. If the power goes out, the backup battery will run and the dog won't be shocked. It should last at least a few hours.
👤It says it would go 300 meters, but I wouldn't even go that far without lighting my dog up. If you ever lose power, your dog will be shocked until it's restored, there is no safety feature to tell it not to.
👤So far, so good. I hate that my dogs will go under our fence. When the recall fails, we bought this to help. It's so far worth it. My pups love it because they get to run without being tied up. When we add the other two dogs, I will be interested to see how it works. Sometimes it sounds like it should, but I don't know if it drops the connection. I am not sure what is happening when I hear the beep, it stops when I hear it. 11/26 - We bought a new collar because we liked it so much. It won't pair. The other collar that came with it has unpaired so it won't pair so much.
👤We tried this with our 9month old puppy and it didn't work, he would sit at the boundary line until the battery died, then he would dart off. It would shock us when we tested it. We decided to send it back and get a second one in case it was the device. After receiving the second one, it was delivered very quickly and I didn't have to return the first one. It seemed to work for the first day, but then it wouldn't work anymore, even on high level, because the "shock" wasn't affecting our stubborn dog. We went to petco about a month ago to buy a dog collar and have not had a problem since. I am waiting for a refund because I am not sure if it was the device or the dog that caused it.
👤The company and their customer service was excellent. I don't know if the amount of trees and instructions on our property were the problem or if we were doing something wrong. We tested the system in multiple places. We weren't getting the results we needed. I hope more people try it out. We will be burying more wire because of the concept of not having to bury wire.
👤There are too many dead spots in my yard to make this work well. I don't think I can let my dogs out with this. It's too late to return it. To make sure it works for you, be sure to set it up and test it right away.
👤There is a variable signal from the base to the collar. The signal is easily blocked by walls. After a few months, one collar stopped working. When the collar is charged, it does a great job of keeping our dog in the yard, but it runs down very quickly. Our fog tests the boundaries and that contributes to the short battery life. I have been pleased with the product.

👤My dog was saved by a collar. I tried to call my dog into the house after a black bear came into our yard. The bear passed us as we ran to the door and my dog chased it. She only wanted the bear, I couldn't call her back. The only thing that stopped her from getting tangled with the Maine black bear was the collar. I took a picture of the bear on my camera. You just need to turn the collar on to connect it and the battery will last a long time. Before using, read the directions and test them. I didn't like the way my dog was treated and now we are both happy and playing in the yard that is her own. She wouldn't come in the house when she was called, so I lowered the perimeter and she came in once it woke up. The neighbor is not showing up with his dog anymore because of the training device. I had to write a review after the bear incident. I took her to my parents beach. I was able to plug the base in so she could swim and play around it. She couldn't go up on the busy street by the house. I took the dog and collar to a friend's house. The collar needs to be reset next to the base. The dogs can play on the same signal if you go.
👤Two years have passed since we got the pet system, and both of our dogs are breaking through the perimeter. We had purchased the PetSafe Stay & Play Wireless Fence for Stubborn Dogs Collar and we fully charged the collar, and I walked up to the perimeter and it told me it was working. My neighbor told me that our dog was hit by a truck and died in the road. My dog died because of a false advertisement.
👤The Giant Schnauzer has the same energy level as the Tasmanian devil and is like the size of a horse. I had to spend the money on this collar after having multiple encounters with our neighbors from her roaming through their garden and playing with their chickens. It was our final option. I wish I would have done it sooner. I started training her for 30 minutes a day. She was on a leash when she wasn't training so she couldn't run outside. I started out with the beeping tone and it didn't seem to bother her. After working with her, I turned the shock level to 2 and then 3. I found that level 4 was perfect for her since she is so stubborn and large. I didn't have to go any higher. She ran back to the house after going past the perimeter a few times. She did not like it. She is acting better now that she won't go close anymore. She is listening and respecting our commands. Positive enforcement is a must while training. No more tension with neighbors and no more stress.

👤I am a police K9 handler and I was looking for the best underground fencing system to protect my K9 at home. I was very interested in the Extreme Dog Fence system because it came with everything I was looking for and I could not find anything else. I couldn't find any other fencing system that came with the heavy duty "pro grade" wiring. I was impressed with how heavy duty the system felt, not like the ones you see at Tractor Supply or Farm and Home. I spoke with the customers service department before ordering and they were very helpful and professional. It's very easy to get a hold of them, you don't have to go through an automated system first. I would recommend this company and fencing system to anyone who is looking for a high quality product made in the USA.
👤I researched before buying an underground fence. We wanted the 14 gauge wire because we wanted to run it through a quarter of anacre of woods, and we didn't have to purchase anything else. The product arrived ahead of schedule on Friday. It came with instructions, but other reviews said it didn't. Installation and training instructions are included. We ran the wire and placed the flags. The wire was easy to unroll. I had to get more landscape staple as the wire is in the woods, and I also bought more flags to show the woods area limit. We didn't want to double the wire and wanted a backyard solution. We ran the wire up the roof with zip ties and then back down the other side of the house, where the ridge vent is. It was a solution I found online. She can still leave the house, but only in the backyard. The installation went very well and was tested successfully on the first try. Our dog is a rescue and she is 3 years old. She's very fast and loves to chase animals. There is a den of fox across the street and they are always hunting in the woods behind our house. She would go through the woods and into neighbors' yards. I called the customer service department to find out if the training documentation that came with it was good enough for her. Our dog had a bad experience with an electric fence when he was a puppy and the previous owner told us that they couldn't use it because she wouldn't go in the backyard. The man I spoke with was very knowledgeable. He was so helpful and spent a long time talking with me about our dogs temperament, my concerns about her breaching and the various steps I should take if that happened. It couldn't have gone better. It took 3 days to train her. The electric fence may have helped. Before we tried it off leash, we used a lot of treats and encouraged her. We backed up the training with treats and she ran through 3 times. We had to set it on the second to lowest setting. She hasn't breached since the first 3 days of the month. I let her out before bed last night and the fox appeared in the yard next to me, barking and trying to get her to him, away from the kits who were out with him. She stopped short of the wire and barked for a while, but then came back to me. She got a lot of praise for being so good. It's great to be able to let her out and go for a walk without fear of her taking off. Highly recommended. This product and their customer service is excellent. I still love my Extreme fence. It has been perfect for two years. I noticed that the receiver on her collar was acting strange. Couldn't be sure if there was an issue. She never does that one day. I wondered if it was not a noise. She was nowhere near the edge when she was on the deck. It happened again a week later and I was worried it was a problem with the receiver. Even though we couldn't determine if it was an issue with the receiver, they immediately sent me a new one at no cost. They were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
There is 1/2 Acre of circus coverage. The range can cover up to 1/2 acres if the portable indoor transmitter is placed there. There is no wire toBURY. A wireless boundary is a great way to protect your pets without the hassle of burying wires. There is static-free resale. The wireless fence allows your pet to return home without being corrected if they pass the boundary. This portable system is great for camping and vacation homes. The roof is waterproof. The waterproof collar is compatible with all PetSafe Wireless Fence transmitters. Long battery life. The PetSafe RFA-67D-11 battery lasts up to 2 months before the low battery indicator warns you to replace the battery. Your dog's collar setting should be tailored to you. 👤The Petsafe Wireless Containment System has been with us for two years. It was purchased on Amazon. We followed the directions as we trained our German Shepherd. Things worked well at first. Our dog knew where she was. The system worked when it was needed, and our dog knew to run back to the house when she went too far. The system became more and more inconsistent as time went on. Consistency is important for German Shepherds. The system would start to shock her when she was inside her zone. Sometimes the system wouldn't shock her when she went beyond her boundary. We tried plugging the transmitter back in. We changed her batteries. We tried to make her circle smaller. It would go back to its old ways eventually. The last straw was today. A man and his dog walked by as I was outside with our German Shepherd. My dog ran to the other dog because the system has been so inconsistent recently. I was able to call her back right away, but I could tell the other dog owner was a little scared. I don't blame him. My dog should have stayed indoors. The system did not work. The collar started zapping my dog as I brought her into the house, safely within the containment system. She is terrified to go into our kitchen and back door after she freaked out. I'm done with this product. I can't recommend it because it works for people who love their pet. It can cause more damage than good. I would like it to work. I wish it fulfilled its promise. I paid for something and wish I got it. I have a dog who gets shocked inside the house, but is safe inside her circle and doesn't get shocked when she goes outside.
👤I followed all the directions to the letter. There are no large metal objects interfering with the transmission at our property. We don't relax when we let her out because there is no signal in certain areas, so we watch her constantly. This is against the purpose. She jumped high in the air when she reached the perimeter when I put it on the lowest setting. It was pretty brutal, I tested it on myself. I wish I could send this back, but first of all, they packaged it so you have to destroy the box to open it. Since we were very motivated to make this work, we hung in there trying different locations and settings, but it is past the return date. If you're lucky enough to get a functioning unit, this is a good price.
👤This thing is priceless to me, and I wish I had known that there was a wireless fence system that you didn't have to tear up your yard to use, because it could have saved me and my family from some serious heartbreak. We had two husky babies that we adopted from our local shelters and one of them was a wanderer, the other was a 6 month old male. One day he was outside playing with my husband and kids while they were washing the car and was killed by a truck not more than 100 yards from our house. I cried and my kids cried. It was one of my favorite purchases I've ever made for our family members, and I invested in it literally the next day. You can set the range to fit your yard and keep your family safe. My husky is a stubborn girl and it only took 2 times to shock her into realizing she didn't like that one bit. It felt like a shock when I tested it on myself. My girl has long hair and it just annoyed her more than anything. It was effective and did its job perfectly. She's not afraid to leave the yard on a leash, she knows if my husband or I are going to take her out of the yard, her collar is off. She's allowed to cross the boundary for a walk. Love it. It took about 15 minutes to set the entire thing up and 3 days for my dog to be completely trained, I wish I had heard of it sooner. I said it was a lifesaver.
2 hours of charge provides about two weeks of battery life. Independent correction levels can be used on most dogs. Minimum of 34 feet in diamete or 17 feet in radius is needed to cover a circular area up to 1/3 of an acre. Multiple transmitters combined create a larger coverage area and can be installed within 15 minutes.
👤The fence is performing better than I anticipated. I live on 2.5 acres. Roughly 1.5 of it is wooded. I put one in the front of the house and one in the back to make a larger figure eight for the dogs. I assumed the wooded areas wouldn't work well, but they do! I'm not sure if it's as good of a signal as back in there, but it works into the woods. I would recommend this fence. A senior wirehaired pointinggriffon is set to beep only, but he is well aware of what the fence is all about. We have a 6 month old Am Staff/American Bulldog/Neo Mastiff mix set to Level 4 and she respects the fence as well. She stopped running when she started chasing one of our chickens. She stopped if she actually got to the boundary.
👤I wasn't sure if this would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. After moving the base around the house, we were able to find a spot that the dogs could run in, 45 feet up the street and to the backyard bushes. When placing the flags, it's not an exact science, but finding most spots correctly and then adding many flags in between to make a clear boundary worked well. The dogs were shocked twice when learning, but with continued walking on a leash towards the white flags, they quickly learned to stay away. I used a white oil-based pastel crayon to draw a white line because it was impossible to put flags in our driveway. They caught on. We charged the necklaces for our two dogs once, but have owned the product for a month and a half. Our quality of life has improved greatly. When the front door is open, the dogs run in and out without fear of running away.
👤There is an update! Don't buy it! My dog has been shocked at random. I was shocked when I picked the collar up. Amazon, please stop selling this product! If you have a steep incline, this product won't work. The collar unit is easy to charge, but it's difficult to put the plug in. I had a hard time hearing the beep when I was setting the boundaries. The instructions say to hold it at your dog's height, but I wouldn't be able to walk up and down the hill with my hand over my dog's head. The first time I was alone with my dog, he lost it. It's hard to find, wish it had a neon color so it could be seen. Maybe I could have found a remote control to make it sound better. I couldn't return it because I didn't have all the pieces, and I wouldn't spend another $150 for another collar unit. My two dog system is a one dog system because it is hard to switch the programming. My older schnauzer did better training than the one year old Australian did. The Aussie would get excited by something outside the boundary and then take off when she was shocked. The system doesn't seem to work on one side of the property, the Aussie figured it out right away. She can't get there because the boundary has been reduced. The reason I chose this system was because it would cover 1/3 of an acre and we are not able to get that much space because of the steep drop off. It is easy to reduce the boundary with the 16 different options and the dogs seem to like it.
You should increase your yard space. In YardMax mode, your pet will have more room than traditional in-ground fences because you will receive correction right at the boundary wire. 500 ft of included wire will allow you to contain up to 1/3-acre yard. Most yards: This weekend project will allow you to create an in-ground fence. 5 levels of static correction and tone-only mode help keep your dog safe and secure inside their safe play area. If your pet passes the boundary, static-free return allows your pet to return home. The yardmax redemption receiver is made of recycled material. The system comes with a waterproof, rechargeable receiver collar that fits dogs up to 5 lbs and adjusts to fit neck sizes 6-28. The in-ground fence system allows you to safely contain an unlimited number of pets. The YardMax receiver collar works with the indoor and outdoor pet barriers to keep your pets out of the flower beds or off furniture.
👤It was the best thing I could have ever purchased. They were able to stay in the yard for 30 minutes. It was great! The product was very good. I only give it a 4 star because of the thin plastic housing for the collars and the fact that the prongs could easily break off. I've read many reviews where people say that was an issue with them. I could see how it could be a problem. So far, mine have held up well. I was almost turned away by the reviews about the broken prongs. It made me look for other alternatives. The Yardmax feature was the only thing that kept me from making the purchase. Pets are safe. Listen to your customers and read your reviews. I don't understand how PetSafe could have so many bad complaints about the cheap plastic collar and not change it. Dogtra made a set of training collars that are very sturdy. They would never break if you smashed them on the ground. I am changing my review to 3 stars only because the Yard Max Add-On Collars and the original ones are cheap plastic junk. I have already replaced 2 broken collars, now I have to do it again.
👤YardMax is a new technology that can be used when your dog is too smart. The dog gets a warning and a static correction at the fence line with traditional systems. My dog was always well behaved on the leash after following standard training steps. She figured out that she could run through the fence at full speed to avoid any trouble after she let my dog loose. She avoided coming back occasionally, but the game of taunting me while I chased her around the neighborhood was her favorite. I had my old system with me after she was almost hit by a car. I replaced the panel and collar and tested the system in YardMax mode. Be sure to adjust settings as you test. She ran through the fence to play her game of chase me down the street. She was surprised when the correction continued. The static correction lasts for 15 seconds on the other side of the fence line, or until the dog comes back, so in this case, my dog ran around just outside of the fence crying out, then after about 5 seconds of correction she obeyed my calls to 'come' back. She ran into my arms and was a different person. She was following an interesting scent and was testing the boundary in a different part of the yard by walking 1 step beyond the fence line. She won't go near the fence line to make sure she doesn't get any trouble. No more playing chase me down the street. Problem solved. After changing to the PetSafe YardMax kit at my home, my dog obeys the boundaries at my parents home, even though she is trained on a traditional invisible fence. As for the wire's quality. I can't attest to the other components. I used my weed whacker to cut a channel in the lawn, then I ran the wire flush to the ground, and hammered lawn staplers every few feet to secure it. I'm curious to see how well the collar holds up, as some other reviewers complain about its cost. The replacements are on the expensive side, but the kit should have included 2 collars from the start. The collar battery life has been great so far. I charge the collar every 2 weeks, and I believe it can last up to 3 weeks before running out of juice. There is a I wish the system offered a training remote that could communicate directly with the YardMax collar, as some other systems offer, that would be more useful to me than the PawzAway devices that can be added. So far, so good! If there are any issues that arise, I will update this essay.
