👤Excellent customer service, prompt response and helpful. The Head unit is a great buy for $80. The sound is adequate and the functions are great. This is definitely a keeper. Everything works as it should, but it lags behind here and there. I feel like I am using a couple years old phone. The viewing angle is not great because the screen is TN panel. It gets worse if your vehicle has a double din slot like mine. The ATOTO A6 Pro is a head unit with anIPS screen. The touch screen is sharp and responsive. Sometimes the touch buttons on the left side are unresponsive. I have configured mine to work. If you don't have that kind of luxury, I would go with a head unit that has buttons. It's hard to adjust volume while driving if you have to press a couple times to register. It gets tiring. The phone conversation part of the audio is not great. People will have a hard time hearing you. There are no ways to connect a microphone built in. The sound quality is close to a factory head unit. Good enough for me. There is a weird sound level issue with the music play apps. The sound will become flat until level 17 and then spike at 18. This happens when you play music. It seems the radio or other music player apps are not affected by the music service. If you are a Toyota owner, wiring a steering wheel control doesn't require an interface unit. Behind the factory radio, you can find a 28 pin connection, which includes red, green, and pink wires. They are next to each other. You can connect the red and green wires to the Key #1 and Key #2 inputs of the head unit wire harness. The pink is ground wire. If you don't ground the pink wire, you will lose the right hand steering wheel control.

👤A grossly misleading product does not do what it says it will. You're supposed to be able to change the home screen. Unless you install a second party launcher, you can't do that. The screen is very dim. It is only visible at night or in the shade. The radio does not work at all, even though it might be my unit. The amplifier is terrible. There is no bass response at all. No matter how you slide the dial, the settings do nothing. It's pretty good if you're using it as a separate device. It doesn't have enough ram to support the Google assistant, so it doesn't have the ability to install one. The product should have never had version 9 or 6. There is no way to operate this device without using your hands. It's very dangerous for a car stereo. No hands free navigation, no hands free music, no hands free anything. I know you pay for what you get. I paid a lot for this unit. This is the most dangerous car stereo I have ever seen because of the lack of hands free operation and the dim viewing screen. I plan on contacting them directly to get a replacement for this product that does everything it says it does. Amazon's service was great and they did a great job. The 2 stars are for how well Amazon did. If I could, I would give this product 0 stars. I have never felt so deceived in my life.

👤The waste of $100. I have not been able to get my people to work with Win 10 or ArcMap. A waste of money. It says in the specifications that it works with Windows 10. Save yourself some money. This technology is not new. This piece of junk is not very user friendly and is far superior to my old Garmin Legend. It couldn't communicate with the test software included and I had many people that tried to get it to work on different laptops and windows tablets without success. Don't buy it!

👤I use this device to record the data of test vehicles. It seems to be of good quality. I might throw a zip tie or tape over the magnet if it's not super strong on a high speed application. The cable is long and is suitable for most driving applications. The included software was used once by me. I can't form a good opinion of it from my limited use.

👤I use a gps device for my boat. It works well.

👤It's easy to set up and use Ubuntu. When it is in view of clear sky, it will get up to 0.6m accuracy horizontally and 3m vertically. The SiRFdemo program needs to be able to manage it under windows. I have bought seven of them so far.

👤The gps puck met all of my needs. It starts fast. I use it to monitor the speed of the gps device. Very happy with the product.

👤You can use your laptop to plot your routes with a great receiver.

👤I bought this after reading that it's a reliable, if slow, gps receiver that is well supported on Linux. I'm giving up and ordering a different one from a non-Amazon vendor after spending a lot of time trying to get it to work. Every diagnostic and management tool I've used successfully opens the connection, but all attempts to swap to SiRF or NMEA fail with no error. The software that speaks both protocols can't determine if it's SiRF or NMEA, and can't read any data at all. The device has just been plugged in and the red light starts flashing, which seems suspicious since it has just been plugged in. I have come to the conclusion that my device is broken or that I received a counterfeit device. These can be found for less on other sites.

3. GlobalSat ND 105C Micro USB Receiver

GlobalSat ND 105C Micro USB Receiver

The chip tracking sensitivity is - 165 dBm. The time to first fix is very fast. The interface is small. There is a built-in gps antenna. A built-in battery. The Microusb toUSB cable is for use with Windows and Mac laptops. It's suitable for portable application. Very low power consumption. It supports NMEA0183 V4. SBAS, EGNOS, GAGAN, QZSS are supported. Requires a "PL2303GPSInfo" app for the phone to function. It is compatible with operating systems: Windows,Vista, 7, 8 & 10; Mac, OSX, and Linux. This is a device for navigation. It's not compatible with most navigation software. It requires a 3rd party tool to convert to a "GPS Sensor". Please read the item description.

Brand: Globalsat

👤I picked up the new Fire tablet from Amazon hoping to use the non-Amazon Store apps. It was easy to do, so I downloaded the two navigation apps. When I received the GlobalSAT unit, I plugged it into my Fire tablet and started the TomTom GO service. I drew up a route around my condo. I used it to and from work today. I can't wait to use it on a long trip. My Honda Civic doesn't have navigation in the dash, but it's $85. I now have almost all of the features of an expensive navigation system at a fraction of the price. Music, gps, weather, video, even the internet are now just arm's reach away on my dash. I'm happy! You may need to install the "You Are HereGPS" app and run it in the background while using your navigation app.

👤The last year and a half has seen the use of the gps module to navigate ocean routes. The laptop has 2G of RAM and a 32G SSD. The program is called Coastal Navigator. The laptop's processor is an Intel N series, which is slow but still fast, and draws less power than other Intel N series chips. The laptop can be connected to the gps with a 8 inchusb to microusb. The screen has an upper right margin. The module is very accurate. The signal strength of the satellites above deck was found to be marginally higher. The deck of the boat is not as important as the cloud layer and humidity. I recommend letting the boat warm up while it is being prepared for sailing. The gps is ready to navigate when the speed over ground drops. Just as accurate as a large postage stamp. I would recommend carrying a spare if you have any problems with the gps device. Why not for just $30? I only use the sounder gps for looking for a sandy spot to anchor. Want a bigger screen? You can just buy a bigger laptop. The total cost of the package is $500. A dedicated unit and a 14-inch screen cost 5000 dollars. The Cockpit Repeaters are connected to the internet. The laptop is free to move about the boat if the gps is attached to it. The gps system is easier to use with a wireless mouse. The best laptops to use would be the ones with low cost and long battery life. The original device is still working just fine, 8/11/2020, just received another one as a backup, as the gps connection has recently failed. Something is wrong with the most recent Win10 update. I was very pleased to relay new information on the improved ND-105CGPS module. It took an hour or more to reach a low.01 knot speed over ground. The new unit was at.01 knot in 3 minutes. Quite an improvement!

👤I bought this to use with aviation navigation software on my Windows 8.1 tablets and it has worked great so far. Acquisition time is very short, and WAAS is enabled by default on the chip. This doesn't use the Windows 8 location API, but instead creates a COM port for an app to access location, which should be fine for most unless your app is newer and designed to only use the Win 8 API. In that case, there are a couple different software options available from other vendors that will send the data to the location API. Only one app can access the COM port at a time. I'm able to get a full WAAS signal in my house and car, and it seems to be very sensitive. I haven't tried it in the plane yet, but I think it will work. I noticed that if there is no power at all to the microusb port, the gps will continue to run, so if you have a sleep mode, it may or may not turn the port/GPS off to save battery power. I used this in the plane and it worked better than the handheld aviation gps that I own. I had a unit on my kneeboard where it was somewhat down low and not as good of a view of the sky, but it never had an issue with satellite reception. I don't need to worry about having an antenna on top of the panel. The little gps has been an awesome value so far.

4. Generic Receiver G Mouse Antenna Navigation

👤The gps box said it was compatible with maps. I asked the seller if it would work with windows 7. I've been trying to find a way to recognize the gps. The gps is compatible with the software that came with it. It has a lock on the gps test. I have a gps receiver, but I don't know it.

👤I've tried it on several gps apps and it doesn't work. Please let me know if anyone has any idea what it will do on windows 10. Thanks.

👤Don't waste your money on outdated tech.

👤It takes a little time to install, but it works well inside the house.

👤Exactly what I was looking for.

👤It's perfect for using with Windows 7.

👤You can use this Chinese Product on your own. None of the applications that require aGPS can find the interface.

👤A car stereo has a lot of nice features. The radio and gps work well. The radio is well made. The lack of a good user guide and lack of knowledge about the radio is the problem I have encountered. There is a feature on the home screen that shows your speed. The display shows kilometres per hour. Since I live in the US, I want that display to be miles per hour. The seller said that the feature was only for decoration. Wrong! It works. I was unable to find a setting that would change to mph. There is a voice assistant called NEXai. The basic version is free. It needs to be activated. When I asked about how to get the product to work, the seller said that it couldn't be activated because it didn't have NEXAI Voice Control. I like this radio and the touch controls, but the lack of support and knowledge from the seller would make me want to return the radio, and another brand would be better.

👤I asked if it would fit a Ram 1500 and was told yes. It didn't. I had to do some serious modifications to get it mounted. The system is working again. Everything is set up for a different language. It works for now. If I didn't have to install it for 4 hours. I would return it. The seller is not honest after many emails. He told me to calm down, claiming he never got my question about fitting my truck, not being responsible for the wrong dimensions, and wouldn't take responsibility for the issues. Buy at your own risk.

👤Constantly unreliable in gps mode. If you change screens to say radio or wireless, you have to reenter the destination.

👤I have had this radio for 3 months and it works perfectly, I installed the nova launcher on the app store and removed the home screen, it works great. I would recommend it.

👤I was very excited when it arrived and I was even more excited when I found this product. I decided to wire the power and front speakers to make sure they were good. I plugged in the antenna to make sure it worked. Thankfully that is all I did. The radio is static and doesn't play the actual station. The song is shown by the song on the song board. There is no sound for it. I called someone to check it out. They were able to hear me speak, but there was no sound on my end. Don't waste your money and trust the 1 star reviews before you go down this rabbit hole!

👤I didn't think it was real but when it arrived, I was blown away by the quality. It is easy to assemble and use. I think buying great price quality is a good idea.

👤I bought a radio in 2019. It is in 2021. It has been trouble. It has never worked on it. I got a new one after returning the original one. The problem is the same. I didn't want to go through it again. I decided to keep it and use one of those cigarettes lighters. Over the years I have become annoyed by the fact that the Bluetooth has not worked on this thing and that sellers do not have an answer to. When brought up, refuse to answer. I have been using this radio for 3 years and I think it would be great if it did what it was supposed to do. I have tried to get it reprogrammed. I have had friends try. Everything. It doesn't work with wireless communication. Radio works. The app sounds good. The sound on the video sharing website is no. There is a service called "Netflix." No. There is a wireless communication device called a Bluetooth no. It is something software related. Everything is up to date.

6. Industrial Qualcomm GLONASS Concurrent Receiver

Industrial Qualcomm GLONASS Concurrent Receiver

The SiRF V is an industry. The operating temperature is -40 +85 degree C. TheProlificPL2343 is a Linux, Windows, and a chromebook compatible device. The 1.5m cable is water proof and has a magnet built in. 9600 baud is made in Taiwan. 9600 baud is made in Taiwan.

Brand: Ffmedia

👤It is small and magnetic. It should be a good thing that it is powered by theusb and doesn't require batteries. I tried 6 programs and this device was not compatible with them. I have a PC that is up to date. The driver and website that were included in the directions on this device were worthless. The driver didn't do anything because the gps viewer link was broken. Fortunately, windows 10 was able to recognize the device, but you had to make sure that you specified the right COM port for your mapping program. It's possible that it'sGPS and GLONASS capable. I was only able to get it to work in TopoFusion, using 9600 baud rate. There was no way to know how many satellites I was connected to. The device wouldn't connect to any satellites unless I set the gps on the window sill. Most PC programs are designed to receive signals from a serial port. You need a range of programs depending on the situation because no single program does everything you want. I don't know why this device doesn't work across the board, in theory it should be able to be compatible with several programs using the generic NMEAGPS base protocol. I can tell you that the instructions are worthless. I worked on this for hours. It won't work on an ICOM-7100 with a female mini-usb. If it is not compatible with a range of popular programs, this device will be useless. I wanted this to work because I like the form and magnet, but I do not recommend this product, and I am returning the 2 that I bought.

👤The review is only for initial impressions. I only had the device for a short time. I will have a long term review later on. I have used many cheaper gps devices and this one seems better. I used a gps device. Couldn't be any harder to use. It took me 20 minutes to write the code. No need for bad drivers. You can just read the ttyUSBN and read the output. Looks to be of good quality. There is a model that may offer 5 updates per second. If you need higher frequencies, consider it. It is more than enough for me.

👤L liked the fact that the gps was sensitive indoors. While inside my house, I am able to simultaneously sync up and lock into 11-13 satellites. My use for this device is to make sure my computer clock is always on. Couldn't be happier and have recommended this device to 3 friends.

👤Satellite reception is much better than the previous receiver.

👤It is easy to use and install.

👤I converted my tablets to a giant gps that's really cool. Good product and easy to install.

👤The NMEAGPS Receiver is used for applications. Does not provide location services to Windows. It was weatherized to handle all but submersion. It can be attached to many surfaces without damage. The body panels of a car are included. complies with the standards of the NMEA. The interface is a standardusb-to-serial The COM4 settings are used by the NMEA interface. There is no support for Windows location services. The device is an NMEA device. It will work in any location that works with NMEA, but no modern Windows applications. It is only IPX6 rated, meaning it is not truly waterproof. It can handle a lot of rain. Only one location update per second. This is not a 5hertz version. There's a software package that will connect to an NMEA device and create a Windows Sensor for use with location services. This is a software solution for the hardware manufacturer's lack of native software. There are some bugs. It works. The package in question is calledGPSdirect. My only problems are with the software. I know the device complies with the standards it claims to support. There are newer standards in 2015.

👤They started giving me times in 1905 after using these for a while. I get the correct date when I boot up. The receiver no longer responds and sends data after I tried to go back to the script I wrote. Until the date changes, it works well with gpsd. It works well, other than producing data that is useless. I'm not sure if we're talking about the same device. The one I have connects to a port at a rate of 5000 baud. A driver is needed to read serial data. Any application can read the data once the driver is installed, I wrote a Python script that opens the device and reads the "sentences". The first consideration is that the initial read could be a bit long. The reader has to sync with the stream, which is not difficult considering the second consideration, which is each sentence is terminated with two newline characters. When you get a full line that starts with a '$', you sync by reading. I can read the data from the receiver using "cat". The heading sentence is not generated by the receiver. The antennae is bulky, but magnetic.

👤This is my 3rd one. I use them on Windows 10 64 bit machines to do the time setting for some applications that I run. The mini-disk that comes with the puck has a utility. Your windows time is dead on if that utility is running. Turn off Windows internal time setting so they don't compete. Highly recommend the software. The program and gps ran 24x7 and the difference between Time.is and this was +0.011 seconds. I have an Amazon purchased gps repeater that is stuck on a broom handle against a window in my basement and I am seeing 7 satellites from it. The sensitivity is very good. The HDOP is 1.9 and thePDOP is 2.5. Anything below 4 is considered great.

9. HiLetgo G Mouse GLONASS Receiver Windows

HiLetgo G Mouse GLONASS Receiver Windows

There is a gps receiver for windows 10. There is a gps receiver called the g-mose. Windows 10,Vista/XP/CE are supported. The reference coordinate system is called the WGS. Tracking sensitivity is.

Brand: Hiletgo

👤It works on Windows 10 and the Pi. It will take some time and technical ability to get it going. It is not possible to use gisnass with gps/waas simultaneously. It's limited use for most. Don't abuse build quality, you will be fine. --- The review is for technical users. Instructions, software, drivers, etc. are not included in the VK172. It uses the u-blox 7020 chip and outputs a stream of standard messages. Special configuration messages can be sent/received without the software, but it's not as easy. I used Windows 10 for initial testing. It was assigned a serial comm port after plugging it in. It depends on what drivers you already have installed. I used PuTTY terminal software to connect to it after using device manager to find the correct comm port number. It showed the sentences immediately, even though the baud rate was set to a different standard. I downloaded the UBLOX "u-center for windows" software to see if it worked. Within a few minutes, I had a lock on my position and the blue led started to flash. This was not near windows. After a while, it picked up a signal from the WAAS and was receiving satellites. I felt the device was barely warm after 20 minutes. I tested it with a real time gps mode and it worked just fine. It took nearly 5 minutes to get a 3D fix after I tried it again the next morning. It may be that night time RF signals get less interference or that it didn't retain the ephemeris data. At night it was around 2 and at day it was over 3-4. When moving the receiver close to a window, two WAAS satellites were picked up. The daytimePDOP improved to 1.3-1.8. A full cold start in this location took 5 minutes and 20 seconds to get an initial fix. A hot start took less than a minute. A warm start took 31 seconds. It isn't too useful in reality because it's advertised as working with Glonass satellites. The configuration through the software seems to show that Glonass isn't enabled. The documentation states that neither gps nor qzs can be enabled. After disabling all other systems, I was able to enable Glonass. The only advantage would be if it received both at the same time. Since it doesn't, there is no point in bothering with it. I did a quick test on the Pi 3 after playing with Windows. I connected to the serial port using the putty program. I watched the expected strings. Gpsd seemed to work after a bit of effort. I looked inside. The ublox G7020-KT gps chip, ft25h03s 4Mbit serial flash, small battery like component, and patch antenna are notable components. The battery is just over 1 watt. The markings are obscured, but I think it's an XH414 which is a battery-operated device that can be used for a hot start. The soldering was good, except for the mechanical contact points which had not flowed properly, the signal pins were fine. I did not need to touch up the weak solder joints. It is a decent unit if you don't need the two things at the same time.

10. Waterproof Receiver Laptop Interface Gain

Waterproof Receiver Laptop Interface Gain

We will send the document to you. The UBLOX 8 engine. The device is configured over a serial interface. Combines low power consumption with high sensitivity. The immunity is exceptional. There are 56 channels for acquisition and reacquisition. A multi-band receiver. Receives SBAS, QZSS and GLONASS. The factory set can be changed using software. You can support the 2.3 version of the NMEA0183. There are built-in WAAS, EGNOS, and MSAS. It's possible to use Windows 10, Win 8, Win 7, and the like. Check application notes for compatibility for Linux. There is a free software for the navigation system. Waterproof: If it is raining, you don't need to cancel your road trip since this navigator can be used in the rain or shine. IPX6 is water resistant. The cable length is two meters. The software is software. You can easily connect to your device via theusb 2.0 and use most commercial or open source mapping software.

Brand: Qgp Supply

👤I was looking for an external gps that could work with Windows 10 Maps and other apps that use serial port. The device is perfect for this purpose and it has drivers for both the location sensor and COM port. If you install both drivers, you can use it for Windows 10 Maps and other applications that use COM port to get gps data, as well as other applications that use windows 10 location API. U-blox also provides U-center software which allows to set a lot of settings for this receiver, it's pretty advanced and lets you set a lot of everything. The location accuracy is very good. It works inside a car as well as on the roof. It's a steal for the price. I was not able to determine a few things about this device. The chip used in this device is the exact U-blox chip. If the device is a ROM chip with a future update that won't be possible, or if it's an upgradeable device, then it's not possible. Whether the device has flash memory or battery-backed up configuration storage. Please leave a reply if anyone knows the answer to the question.

👤Plug the gpsd daemon into theusb port and you'll see data. You don't need to use the evaluation software to get this unit going on the Pi because it works on Windows. Download and try the evaluation software. It is worth it. The configuration changes described in Oscar Blanco's review for gpsd should be made. The issue is not the receiver, but the configuration.

👤I used to use a gps receiver on my Windows 10 device to track my road trips, but it only worked in the city, so I used to get no data in the mountains or canyons. The location provided by this receiver is based on data from both satellites and gives me a much more reliable fix. I haven't been able to test it in the worst conditions yet, but it has been able to provide a good fix in several places where the old one failed. The unit is small and has a strong magnet built into the base that keeps it firmly attached to the flat car body panel.

👤I am using this device to make sure the clock on my laptop is not set to go off during the upcoming amateur radio Field Day exercise. For certain applications, the clock must be on. The puck does a great job. Very happy with it! I would recommend both of them.

👤You need to download and install the "u-center" software on Windows. The display is difficult to set up. 3 stars off. It's very sensitive and can pick up a lot of satellites hundreds of miles away. It picks up satellites inside my apartment, so I don't need to go outside or on the roof. I don't know how to set this up to receive Galileo satellites.

👤I have been very happy with the purchase. I'm familiar with the devices used outdoors, but I thought I would try it out with my laptop. For most practical purposes, the accuracy for an often used location needs no further accuracy adjustments, even though it lacks the newest addition to the GNSS satellite systems - Galileo. It's hard to beat for the price and flexibility.

11. Dual Electronics XGPS150A Multipurpose Augmentation

Dual Electronics XGPS150A Multipurpose Augmentation

Add Gps. You can strengthen your Gps signal on any device by connecting via wireless. The free downloadable app provides accurate gps coordinates, position update rate change, and much more. Being able to add accurate gps to your device will allow you to use hundreds of available apps. The Gps receiver has a battery life of over eight hours of continuous use and comes with a usb charging cord. That will stick to most surfaces.

Brand: Dual Electronics

👤It works better than I anticipated. I have an older WiFi only iPad Mini that I wanted to use for navigation but it doesn't have built-in gps. When I connected my iPad mini to the dual XGPS105A via a wireless connection, it asked to download the accompanying app. The app is useful. It tells you the number of satellites you are connected to, the signal strength, position information, and the battery status. I turned it on in the house because I couldn't wait but I was able to connect to multiple satellites with ease. I thought I would have to go outside. With the gps locked and loaded, I tried out some maps. Both worked well. My weather radar map is now location enabled. Awesome. I have taken it down the road a few times now, about 100 miles total, without issue, but I will update this review once I have a longer road trip under my belt. I didn't expect to see the app mentioned in any of the reviews or forums. This thing is special. I can't wait to try it out against other devices, like a newer iPad, windows tablets, and some surveying equipment. I will report back, but so far it's been good.

👤Don't buy anything from AXXERA or DUAL. The unit will work for 25 times, then the internals will short out, killing the battery, but they will sell you another battery. Next year there will be some other name. They changed their names to keep up with consumer fraud. Don't buy anything made by these people. You will be sad.

👤I bought a gps receiver for my Jeep. This product works in conjunction with my Apple iPad and provides pin point accurate gps for any app you are using. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to connect to my iPad via BluTooth once I turn on the puck. This could be my fault. Overall very pleased! It's easy to charge up at home or in your vehicle. Very easy to use. I stuck a piece of tape to the back of the vehicle and it still works.

👤For almost two months, use the dual XGPS150A with my iPad 2. Since the iPad 2 didn't have a gps receiver installed, I decided to use the dual XGPS 150A, which is described in the technical documentation to receive 12 gps and up. The dual XGPS15A is a free navigation app that has a very simple and minimalist design. The dual XGPS150A receiver is small and has Haptics very pleasant. The gps is green. The Bluethooth connection is created relatively fast after switch on, but the GLONASS satellites are not supported, but they are displayed in the app, but they are crossed out. It happens in dense forests on winding roads and in large cities close to tall houses. When you're on foot in New York, Boston, and Chicago, the pressure point is non-tactile, so locating is almost non-existent. The dual XGPS150A would no longer splash water and dirt if you removed the plastic cover and cut a hole in the non-slip pad.
