👤I bought this for my mother because she has a difficult time with smart phones and she needed a gps. I needed something that was of decent quality but not very expensive and what I got was better than I had expected. Satellite acquisition and navigation are both accurate. You can enter where you want to go and just leave. Extra features include games, music player, video player and others. The internal battery in the box is charged when you take it off the mount, so you can bring it with you. A nice touch. The screen is accurate and the unit is touchscreen based. gps units like this are usually not good but this one is. I never had to touch a button more than once. It's better than the option built into my car dash. It has multiple voices to pick from in multiple languages. They are still easy to understand, they have a digital sound to them. I had a British female voice. This is a good unit for the price. The big screen is easy to read. 2d and 3d navigation modes and more. There is only one downside... The built in snake game was made by a person who had never played a snake before. Not really. I almost forgot. The packaging is pretty good. It comes in a nice box. Not the most important thing in the world. I like good packaging since most things come in a plain white box. I would buy it again. My mother likes it. She was routed around traffic and construction twice, and it kept her from getting lost.

👤The main reason I think this is a 2 star is 1. It takes time to charge... I left the plug in the wall for 2 days, and then quit because I found out the best way to charge it is to use the car charge it comes with. 2. It'sTTERY LIFE! Wow! If you're planning on going on a long road trip or just driving for a short time, don't worry, the battery will run out quickly and you can't just use the car charge. 3. I wanted something that told me where to go, so I tried to be more than just a gps. I'm pretty sure most of the people who bought this just wanted a gps device, and I believe there's even a option to watch movies on it. I can't recommend this for the price and the other problems I have with it, but I would give it a 1 star if I had to. There was no lag during driving. I gave it an extra point.

👤The little unit is bright. It works as advertised. It doesn't have smart guessing for address because it doesn't connect to the internet. It is easy after you put country and city. It's a great addition to your vehicles.

👤When I lost my cell phone service in Dallas for half a day, I needed aGPS back up. The screen is big and clear. It is easy to see where you need to go. Even if you don't have cell phone reception, it works. Highly recommended.

2. Magellan TN1840SGLUC Dual Mount Navigator Rear Facing

Magellan TN1840SGLUC Dual Mount Navigator Rear Facing

7 in. The display has day and night views for easy visibility. There is a trail and street navigation. There are over 160,000 4WD, ATVs, motorcycle, and snowmobile trails in the USA. There are free map and software updates. There are free updates for the USA and Canada.

Brand: Magellan

👤The off road capabilities are good. I give this one star for street navigation, so don't use this for that. When using street navigation, the map details are not good. There is a 75% chance that you will get no results when you search for an address in the street navigation function. It's very useful for off road trails, but when you navigate a trail it draws a green line and you don't have a map. The operating system of the tablets is very difficult to navigate. You have to turn it off if you want it to unfreeze. It is nearly impossible to plan a route or search for anything using the hand held unit because of the cold. You have to do all your mapwork and planning on the companion website which will uploads into the handheld unit when it syncs because the tablet is so sensitive to freezing up. I believe that the lowest specification of the software used to run this unit was a mistake by Magellan. The OS system in the tablets is terrible. The zooming function will not keep the map locked in up North position and the whole screen will spin when you use it. The social media uploading function did not work at all. The first time I tried to enter my information into my Facebook account, it gave me an error message stating that the app was unavailable at the time. I can't get rid of that message and the social media option is dead. You can't use any other functions in navigation heads up mode because every time you try and look at something else, you get a flag notice that says "Do you want to end current navigation?" You can't touch the unit for fear of having to end your route navigation. I wish I had purchased a unit that had both street and off road maps. This one is disappointing.

👤I have a gps device in my jeep. I wanted to replace an old dash cam that was slowly melting in the sun. If you want to mount it on a plate for a U.S. military vehicle, you can use a window suction cup, motorcycle handlebars, or some screw holes on the back. It comes with a bunch of cables, but most of my tech is microusb now. It has a decent texture on the sides, so it doesn't slip out of my hands. The software takes a little getting used to. It has a lot of trails already loaded, and I found a lot of new trails near me. One of the features I like the most is the "Make a Track" function, which allows you to make a track and markers for water crossing or scenic spots. It's neat for me because I'm always finding cool jumps and tracks in the desert and am never able to find my way back to those exact spots.

👤I like the size of the screen and the ability to mark the trails you have been on for later reference, but that is where the good quality ends. The screen graphics on the device are not very good. Most trails on forest service ground are numbered, not named trails, which makes it hard to plan a trip if you don't know the local trail names. A poor help line service is one of the problems I discovered. After waiting a week for a response to my request for help on a setup issue, I was unable to send a picture of the problem to us, it was hard to do for a set up issue. I don't think this system is a good idea, there are a number of free systems that are better that can be used on your phone. The system had great potential but didn't get there.

3. Garmin Overlander Multipurpose Navigator Off Grid

Garmin Overlander Multipurpose Navigator Off Grid

7” color touchscreen has turn-by-turn directions for on-road navigation and topography maps for off-road guidance covering North and south America. You can use the explore app to download additional maps and usg Quad sheets on 64 gigabytes of storage, and sync all of your data between your devices. You don't need a cell signal to get to the best-established, wild and dispersed campsites, because you're loaded with ioverlander points of interest. Features public land boundaries and 4x4 roads. For large overlanding vehicles, the weight and length are used. Can be mounted anywhere with a powered magnetic mount. Pairs with in reach satellite communicators for two-way text messaging and interactive weather forecasts.

Brand: Garmin

👤I could type a novel about how bad a fail this thing is but I don't have time. If you want to be helpful, you should not buy this, for $600 you can buy a better system like a tablet or a pro version of multiple apps. This is a terrible, expensive, and redundant device to try and do what other systems do. I was hoping for a "one stop" top grade "overlander" device, as an avid camper, hiker, and owner of a decked out 4Runner hitting the back roads frequently. 1 hour. I spent that time looking for known campgrounds, places, and backroads that I would expect a device marketed as an overlanding device to have. It was not only bad at that essential, but it was also bad at everything else that can be done better with a phone or a tablets. dyrt, gaia gps, freeroam, iOverlander, and even USA topo maps are all available on the internet. Even the "cool" almost gimmicky feature that shows the angles of your vehicle on the road was useless. There is more redundancy. garmin devices have done a lot to the gps map and athletics community. Spend your money elsewhere. This is a hard to use device that is being made a cash grab for to take advantage of the popularity of the overland scene. I can't imagine how this will last without massive software improvements and features. This is my contribution to those who are out on the trails.

👤I bought this unit because it had a larger screen with higher resolution and a number of cool apps. I bought this unit because I was going to use my high resolution maps from the Garmin. I was not happy. The unit has a micro card reader, but it won't show the 24K maps. My worst fear was confirmed by a long call to the support team at Garmin. There is no backtrack trail feature in the outdoor hand held units. You think that since this unit was designed for the off- trail user, there would be a back track feature, without having to store the bread crumbs trail before turning back like in this unit. There are sections of rocky trails in the forest where a back-track feature is nice to have. Although the price was steep for this unit, I will keep it for its other features, but now have to use a hand held gps to see Hunt View information. The new update includes Hunt View and other custom maps. Hunt View Maps are included in the Drive program. I am loving my device now. If you can afford one, I would recommend the Overlander.

👤I was going on a vacation with my wife and kids and I was thinking about buying a gps device instead of using my phone. I read many reviews before buying this item. We are mostly good. I decided to buy it. After using the gps for a while, it got hot but it seemed okay. On the third day of using it, it went black and wouldn't turn on, I was close to my destination. It was hot. After pulling it off my car, it turned back on. I was not happy at that point but I think we will be a success. The thing stopped working when I was driving home from dropping my grandkids off at their mothers near Baltimore, it was a bit confusing. The last straw was that. I returned it when I got home. I am really disappointed with this model. When I bought it, I was really excited. We will use my phone again. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.

👤This thing is a quality piece of hardware. It's durable, functional, boots up quickly and works well, unlike some gps units I've had. garmin's maps suck. This thing assures me that my maps are current and up-to-date, but they make mistakes all the time. It tries to send me to closed roads that no longer exist. The biggest flaw with this unit is that it doesn't have a "detour" button like previous garmin gps units. If it wants you to take a road that's closed for roadwork, it's as stubborn as a horse's ass, and will not change its mind. The only way to re-route is to manually enter a different route. garmin, bring back the detour button. It's better than not having a gps at all, but it still has some major flaws that will annoy you.

👤I own a lot of cars. I tried it for a week next to my maps and was not happy with the gps. Without the phone app it won't show traffic. When I received a phone call I didn't like the idea of connecting to my phone, it switched from my phone to the gps. That was making me nervous. I like to deal with maps on the internet for $400. It would be perfect if the bridge heights were known by the maps.

👤I took a few to get used to it. I like the fact that I don't need to hook up to a computer and go through a bunch of steps to update. I have been using for a month and it has been great. Don't leave your gps plugged in all the time, that's a tip I learned from the last one. You will shorten the life span of the battery by burning it up.

👤Can't find addresses on the screen.

👤The best gps I have had. It definitely could use improvement. It doesn't connect to a car, RV, or truck's stereo system to allow the sound of directions to be heard through the speaker system. Once you have downloaded the Garmin Drive app, you can use all of the features on it. The gps doesn't have an auxillary plug area. Sometimes it's hard to hear directions when driving. It's definitely better than my previous units. I would give it 4 stars if it was possible to play directions through the speakers.

👤The product was easy to setup. Sell asked about the item the same day. The service is top notch. Will buy from them again with hesitation.

👤Awesome! I needed a 7” screen. Can not go wrong.

👤I am happy with the device so far. It looks good and he is doing a good job. There is a job.

👤If I want to use this garmin, I have to plug it in all the time, and I don't think I'll buy any electronics from Amazon in the future.

👤The manual of How to Turn theGPS On, Download, whatever it needs, has no instructions. I held the button at the top of the gps but nothing happened. I clicked on the USA maps link on the website and it took me to a zip archive of 4.26 gigabytes on my Mac hard drive. It took about 5 hours. What should I do with this zip archive? I have had my Mac plugged in for the last two hours and it just keeps flashing blue lights from left to right. The manual doesn't explain why this is happening or what to do if it happens. The gps didn't seem to have any maps loaded when I turned it on.

👤Works well and for a good price. The touch screen works well. Load times are not very long. The mount works well and stays where it should once it is tightened down. It is possible to use a micro sd card to play music or listen to radio. There are a few games and a calculator in it. It doesn't say street or highway names, instead it says things like "turn right in 100 feet" or "get off the highway in a quarter mile" which can be easier to follow. It can be used to find places you have been to before. The ability to change the route is one of my favorite features. It has the ability to adapt to any mode of transportation you have available. The screen is large and bright. The speaker is loud enough to hear music, but there is an option to plug it into the car stereo to hear it better, but I can hear it by myself. It has worked every time, so far it hasn't gotten confused about where I am.

👤There are a few bugs that you'll have to deal with if you get this device. There is no consistency to the back button. When it starts charging, this device only turns on. The only thing it has is a button. The device won't turn on if it's fully charged. You have to wait for the battery to drain before you can turn it on. It's a good thing this doesn't fully charge, because you may have to turn it off when you finish a trip, like when you finish a book. If you do that, you can turn it on again without waiting if you plug it in. Javascript has to be turned off to visit the website. Be sure to read directions for how to update it. The cups don't work. The device would fall down a minute or so later, most spots it didn't work at all, the spots I found that did work. The device might be too large for some people. I didn't find the turn by turn directions list. This is much faster than my old Garmin, which has a map that expired about 6 years ago. There are free lifetime updates. Some devices don't offer this. The stuff it advertises, of course, is your choice of road announcers, some of which can read the street names.

👤The screen images are easy to see in the 7-inch size. It will be a great product. The setup is a bit confusing and the screens in their video are different from what I see on my device. Maybe I'm overestimating and everything will work out okay. There is an update on 12-20/2021. I took a trip to Venice Beach Florida and then to our hotel in Punta Gorda Florida using the Navpal. The screen would show the map and then go black about 10 seconds after you hit GO. I had to use the screen to get the map back up. You could only see the map for the brief periods when the voice was still there. This made it hard to visualize the places to turn and the best lane choice. The "Speeding" reminder is a feature that is annoying. It is not a gentle reminder. NavPal promised me a new gps when I contacted them after I returned from this trip. I had my new device three days later. It works perfectly after I tested it out. I want to change my rating to 5 stars because of their customer service.

👤It was easy to use. It held its own in a comparison against the other two navigation devices and was easy to use. The screen was not as bright, but clear and easy to read, and when I looked at it in the sun, it was very similar to the one on the TomTom. The TOMTOM had only a couple of voices that could read out the street addresses, and both of them were female. I already have a co-pilot that knows more than the gps. In the NAVPAL? My wife was fine with that because the man speak better and that was fine with me. The sound is not good, so only four stars. It is easier to use and has many features you would expect, like vehicle size, car, bus, taxi, or truck. It took a while for it to grab the Satellites, they were way over to the North East. I let it spin away and it worked great. It seemed that the other two were more complicated. This is the champion. I would buy it for a backup to the machines I already own, but we have yet to take it on the road, so an update will be coming. If the road test is as surprising as the living room test and learning cycle, then it could be the deal of the year. The sound quality is terrible. The speakers are terrible, but you can hear it. Guess what? It can be patched on your vehicle speakers. I will update after I return from a trip or two. This is a nice gps that is easy to use.

👤The product was purchased for my mother, she found it easy to see directions and needed a little help setting it up but she seems to get it at 80 years of age.

👤The Navpal has better reviews and has a life time map up dates. The American brand with Professional Technician teams in the USA was the selling point for me. English speaking customer support via phone or email, we understand our customers needs, and I like the easy touch screen on my old gps. I can find a gas station or store just by searching, I like the saerch featcher.

Brand: Tomtom

👤This is a product review. I've been using the gps units for a long time and was interested in testing the new unit from the TomTom company. The Go Comfort is a gps device. The unit was in the box with a micro-USB charging cable, a single port 12vusb charging wart, a dashboard puck, and a QuickStart Guide. The dashboard puck has a 3M circle on it, but I never attach that sort of thing in my vehicles so I don't look at the capability of the dashboard puck. The unit came with enough charge in it to accomplish initial configuration, and since it charges via standardusb cable, finding a place to plug it in while working through the intial configuration was very convenient and simple to do. The system expects you to know to go into the Menu to do anything, and on initial power-up, the 4-dot indicator wasn't labeled. The Getting Started Guide was easy to understand, as it was clear that it was necessary to open the menu. The Getting Started Guide is multi-language, but I don't like the format where it mixes 2 languages on each page. I like to read the manual in one language and the other in another, as it makes getting through the steps easier. There were more than 2GB of updates applied to the system. This is a feature I have not used on a Garmin unit, but it is interesting. I was able to download the system and map updates directly to the unit after I joined the system to my network and created a TomTom account. The updates took about 40 minutes to apply. There isn't anything that leads you to believe there is something to do before the unit starts. You can use the unit right out of the box and put a destination into the system when it finds satellites. The first issue I had was this one. It took a long time to find satellites. That meant that the time wasn't correct and it didn't know where I was. The time it took to find satellites was more difficult for the TomTom than it was for me. I had to move the TomTom into a window in order to register it, so that it could easily be found on the same desk. After getting my preferences set up, I tested this several times and never saw a change in behavior. The finding of satellites did not improve after applying the system updates. It took 40 minutes to find the satellites. The finding of satellites in the car was much better than in the house. The unit holds the satellite connections very well once found. You are encouraged to use the MyDrive app to connect to the gps. The user experience was less than stellar. You need to connect to the MyDrive app on your phone to get the traffic data. It was one of the most difficult combinations I've ever encountered. 5 attempts, 2 uninstalls of the app, and a factory reset of the gps unit are what it took to make a simple pair. I had to enable tethering before the gps would connect for the data connection to work. Until the tethering function was enabled, nothing else would work except for the connection for phone functions. I'm not new at connecting devices to my phone, and I'm running a fully updated version of the phone's operating system. The traditional method of connecting a device to a computer is not used in the pairing process. This is the source of the problems. I didn't like the other piece of this. If I wanted to use my phone as a navigation device, and to get the most help from a gps, I would use a map service like Google Maps. This is a major flaw of the setup. If I have to drain my phone battery and open an app in order to get traffic data, the device will be worthless. The first flaw in the MyDrive app is the fundamental premise. The idea of using your phone for route planning might sound nice to some, but you can do the same thing from the gps unit, so it isn't clear what advantage this approach has. The Getting Started Guide doesn't discuss the app, so it doesn't help clarify the situation. The app doesn't have a way to save routes or places you look up in it, but it syncs to your account. It's strange that you wouldn't see this inside the app, if it's a multi-screen synchronized ecosystem. The routes built on the phone won't sync to the gps if the link isn't working properly, even when you log into your account on the gps unit. The app only adds to the equation by grabbing traffic information, and doesn't add anything else. I was able to test the accuracy of my current maps on a road trip. Even though I had to have my phone connected to see the issue, the device performed perfectly, even though we ran into a major accident on the way home. The same issue was seen by the second phone running the maps and the first one, and it was the same as the one that the TomTom suggested. The re-pathing was very logical and fast. The time to destination was re-calculated and it was very accurate. You can save your home address to make a one-step route plan. There are buttons for finding parking lots and gas stations. There is a'safety camera' recording capability that feeds a data stream to other drivers about where red light and speed trap cameras are located across the country. The Go Comfort is a good gps unit. It is suffering from a flawed and seemingly unnecessary app. Getting from point A to point B is easy once you get past those issues. Paying for a separate unit for traffic data is questionable when it's included in free maps.

👤Huge fan! The screen is great. Very clear. It works so far. This has more functions than I need, but they are still cool. The price was so low that I expected more junk. I am very happy. I'm excited about figuring out all of these functions.

👤Unless you want to visit every off ramp on your journey, you don't want this navigation device. I was prompted to leave the highway at every exit on a major route. If you are off track, a gps device will prompt this, but it wasn't the case. I was on my way. The device was rendered useless if not just annoying. This device was unable to find any destinations I needed to travel to unless it was a major city. My first use was after the return window, so I am stuck with a $70 mistake. Take a hard pass on this item.

👤Where do I start? I bought this for Christmas. We tried to set it up today. We haven't been able to travel with the New England winter and the Pandemic. It is out of the return date now. The instruction manual is written by a person with a very loose grasp of the English language. There is no back arrow in the manual. It's beyond frustrating. I should have bought a Tom Tom. I bought this because it was an Amazon Choice. I made that mistake last time. I am not happy with Amazon. Don't buy if you're warned.

👤I bought this a month or so ago and will use it for a road trip this weekend. This thing takes you on some very strange routes and it was only because we knew where we were going that it was only an hour and a half away from where we were. I am out of the return policy so I will sell this on eBay for $5 and try another device with maps, as I can't return this now. Don't waste your time or money, just get a decent make. This is my first negative review.

👤I live in Florida. The product cannot be used from my home to my work. It can't navigate to my wife's work. It can't navigate to Disney World. I haven't found an address in the city. I don't like using my phone for navigation as I can't listen to music while driving, but my phone is accurate and I use it for maps.

👤The item under review is clearly out in front and it was clearly out in front when it was compared to its predecessors. I'm relieved that it arrived and installed, but I was also aware that it was going to rise like the sun on a new day, hurray!

👤75% of the update is not working. 59, 69, and now 78. All within a year. It is not all that. My phone was malfunctioning, so my story is that. All of them, including the maps on the internet. The company is taking over. My phone wouldn't work in traffic. So with bad scare instructions. I got going today. It was tested out on three trips. The voice was working after I unchecked the app. It needs to be more secure on the dashboard of the car. As a widow, I feel better to travel. I'm happy. I'm not interested in the other features. Yeah for it! Yeah for me! 50 bucks was worth it. I don't have a new car yet, but this is great. It's worth it if it lasts a year. &

👤Get it, over the road trucker review. It is affordable and does everything the expensive gps does. I have owned this gps for about 2 months and it has not let me down. It tells you how fast you are going, how far from the next waypoint you are, and the time of arrival. Time zones are adjusted from Satelite. It is not worth paying $400 for a gps when you can buy a better one. It is good to know that if I do update it will be free. Just buy it! You can beat it for $70 bucks. 2 months owner!

👤I have been using the gps for two weeks. It was worth the money spent. I use it in my semi and it has taken me where I need to be. Great purchase.

👤I replaced my old gps with a big screen one and it works great! Offline maps help in a rural area but nothing compares to having a real gps device. I put the screen in the corner of the car because it doesn't interfere with driving and because it doesn't take up a lot of space in the window. There are so many options for navigation on the touchscreen that it is very sensitive. This size is better than the 5. Audio is clear and can focus on the road. It was a great GOS for the price and definitely recommend it.

👤This gps is not worth anything. The routes are so old that they are unreliable and trying to update the maps is a joke. The clock is not set to the correct time. The device turns itself off after 20 minutes of use. The cheap plastic sun visor is a joke, it doesn't fit together properly, and it snaps when you try to attack it with the gps. The money was wasted.

👤I had to use a magnifying glass to see the print and icons because the instructions for setup were poor. Adding to Favorite addresses was very confusing and I was only able to input two addresses with no names.

👤The product is inferior compared to the other products. Poor mapping doesn't allow high number addresses. I was impressed with the looks but not worth the money. I bought a new one after I sent my old one back.

👤I thought I should try it closer to home after purchasing this for a future trip. The cup wouldn't fit on my dashboard or the front window. I used an aftermarket holder. I was about halfway to my destination when it stopped. It won't turn back on after I messed with it. I should have given the money to charity.

👤I bought a gps for a trip to visit relatives. I'm not very tech savvy and it was hard to find alternative directions when I inputed my out-of-state address locations. My 35 year old tech savvy son had issues. If you have a map route to follow, the gps adjusts nicely to route changes along the way. Common sense tells you which way to go when you pull off the road for gas or a rest area, even though the gps only indicated the wrong direction in a couple of minor spots. I like the fact that it confirmed the road you were on, as the road signs were often not posted. It advises you of the correct speed limit. I plan to input the next address after I reach the destination, as it seems to pick up the town or route location on the gps just fine. The sun visor was too small. I would recommend this device.

👤I bought this unit as a gift for my daughter after she tried two similar IYING 7 units which both had problems, one of which would not boot. The unit is responsive and the screen looks nice. The IYING unit is smaller than the large one, so they added in some nice control buttons on the side to make use of the extra space. I have only just installed the car in my daughter's, but I would definitely recommend it!

👤I am very pleased with this unit. It was easy to setup, just the initial connection. The screen is bright and responsive. It was the only way to add CarPlay to the Accord. It would be better to have the cable connections on the back of the unit instead of sticking out the side, which looks messy. There is a The stand that came with the cup did not work for me. I bought a CD slot mount that worked perfectly. The cable clips that came with it were a minor problem. If you can't install a CarPlay head unit, or just want something cheaper and easier to install, this is a worthwhile purchase.

👤I have had it for a few weeks and love it. I use it with my phone. I use the navigation and have made calls. If you are looking for a basic CarPlay system, this works great. The one that comes with the aux cable is ok, but I recommendUpgrading the aux cable for better sound.

👤I like the product but it uses a lot of power. If you leave it plugged in, you will find a dead battery when the engine is off.

👤I had high hopes for this radio, but I was disappointed. The radio does the basics well, but there are several major improvements they could make. The first thing to do is make sure that all of the features mentioned in the manual work on the device. The radio station is a joke. The first problem is that it can only be set in the.500 range. You can set the numbers 88.0, 88.5, 90, 90.5, etc. If you live in an urban area, this limits the number of available stations. The signal is very weak, even though I was able to find an empty Frequency. If your vehicle does not have an AUX input, you will not be able to hear audio through your car system, so stay away from this unit. The manual shows settings that aren't actually on the unit. They should update the manual or unit to match the differences in the Firmware. I don't understand why DateTime isn't included in the unit, this is a basic feature of all smart audio devices. There are no buttons on the unit. There are buttons on the left side of the display for Volume, Prev/Next, Power, and Home. The Home button is not a home button. The button actually turns the unit on between two levels. What? The Home button is on the left side of the screen. The power button is not a power button. The button turns off the displays backlight so you can see that the unit is still running and playing music. I'm not sure why they have buttons that don't work. The Play/Pause and a Microphone button would be more useful in that location. Let's talk about what the unit does well. I was able to set up Wireless. It took a few minutes to set it up, but I was able to connect to the internet after the unit started. That is pretty good. If you've used the software before, it will work the same. You can use a cable that is even faster, but wireless connection is more convenient because you can leave your phone in your pocket. The hardware performance is ok, and navigation seems to work. The home button on your phone is not a real one. Unlike built-in head units, it doesn't integrate with the physical buttons on your car's audio system. All features must be controlled from the phone or unit. This is a good option for older vehicles that want to use a smart Audio unit. Don't expect a good audio experience if you don't have a working AUX input.
