👤I took a trip to Florida and bought this to help me travel around there. Anyone that has traveled the I-95, I-4, and I-75 highways knows that there are a lot of on-off ramps. It's terrible having the machine say "GPS signal lost" when you're supposed to be making a left or right turn. I had to go from Jacksonville, Florida to Orlando, Florida at least 3 times. It was annoying that the screen kept resetting after 30 minutes of travel. I have a 10-year-old that works better than this POS. My wife's phone gps system never lost its signal during the trip. This product is not recommended.

👤It has a lot of options, like music, photos, and stuff I didn't need or want. The problem is in the middle of a trip. Starts to offer something else that it can do instead of just staying on. I'm still getting used to it. One needs to spend a lot of time with it for it to work, then suddenly the map is gone. Sorry, I bought it. I think it works if I spend enough time with it. Is anyone interested in playing an idiotic game? I want to know where the exit is. It takes a while to update position. Too many useless features jump in the way. It stinks.

👤I guess the free maps you get with the unit is what the description says. There is no website to update your maps. I guess you get what you pay for.

👤I was taken back by the lack of instructions on how to start it. The basic step of plugging it into your car and how to move forward. The way to set it up was easy. It was a bit of a challenge for a first timer.

👤I don't like everything about this product. It is not up to date. You can't download maps. The map says it can't open due to low memory. It can't find a gps signal. Don't waste money. It is trash and I did.

👤We are seniors and the product works well for us.

👤It was fine when the unit was connected to the gps device. I drove over 2,000 miles last week and was happy I still had my old device. The Rongji was looking for satellites. Buying a Garmin after returning it.

👤The gps is on the car and has a screen for directions. You have several options of what voice you want. It's a good value for money. I took a point off because the delivery service that sent it to sprint was a nightmare, but in the end I got my package. I am very happy with my navigation system.

👤Lors de long itineraire memoire trop basse pour fonctionner doit etre redemarer et fonctionner par plus petite section.

👤It is easy to set up and use. The only problem is that it's too heavy for the cup to stay. I used my cell phone air vent holder to keep it in place, because I put a cell phone magnet behind it. And it worked well.

2. Garmin 010 N2036 06 Refurbished Automotive Canada

Garmin 010 N2036 06 Refurbished Automotive Canada

👤I knew I was going to get a new product when I ordered this unit. They are new to me. Once they are proven to function for a few days, they will probably last a decade or more, or they will last until the new technology makes this unit boring. My cars have in-dash gps systems, but I use a different system when I go out. It works for me because I use the program. It's easy to plan a trip on my computer, and I like to save maps. I have a refurbished Nuvi 55. This is an old model. I bought this unit because it was cheap. I wanted to make my driving experience better. I like my new car. For the next 10 years, I will enjoy my new gps. It's a good thing. I don't use my real home address as "My Home" on my gps in case someone takes it. They will have my home address if they know I am not at home. I live at the nearest fire station address.

👤The gps works well. I just took it out of the box and plugged it in. I have never used a better gps device.

👤The box had a manual, a power cord that is long enough, and aGPS. As I am one of those who takes the manual and tosses it out the window, I put it on my weighted mount, plugged it in, and it already had enough satellites to function. I set a location and did a basic configuration. Initially it only showed the road name, but as I turned the numbers started to show up. I noticed that I had enabled a tracking function so I could see where I was. When I hit my first destination, I plugged my home address in and wanted to add Wal-mart to the trip, but I didn't know how to navigate the GUI yet. It was a done deal when I figured out how to do a multistop trip and I was at Wal-mart. The overall size of this gps is what I like the most. It is light and compact, and it was easy to put on my device pad for my dashboard. The photos show that it fits nicely on a pad for a 7" gps. The GUI is very confusing for an average user who doesn't know how to use it, unless you use the arrows on the left side of the screen, or have a very steady finger, and the legacyusb port is the biggest downfall of this gps. I like this gps because it serves its purpose, it is easy to use, and it is a referb so it won't end up as scrap. It was worth the money personally. I had to do a factory reset on the gps to fix some of the issues. It requires you to manually add your own route to circumvent the issue of it preferring major roads over anything else.

👤The Drive 52 unit is a replacement for the 1350 unit. I'd had Nuvi for a long time. This model is a big improvement, and it's smarter than the old one, and it's easy to use. A display with information can be tailored for your needs. Very nice.

3. Garmin Navigator Lifetime Directions Foursquare

Garmin Navigator Lifetime Directions Foursquare

Guide like a friend, using recognizable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights. The battery life can be up to an hour. The display type is a WVGA color TFT with white backlight.

👤I am a middle-aged school teacher who doesn't have a lot of tech savvy, but I have computer skills. I say this to let you know that I can find my way around a device. I bought a drive 60 to help me drive in places that I am unfamiliar with. I took my first road trip with it, and I am happy with it. I found it easy to use. There are some issues that prevent me from giving it a 5 star rating. I didn't like the fact that it took me down out of the way to find the shortest route. Some of those roads were in poor condition, and some were in some rough neighborhoods. I couldn't find a way to force it to stay on the main state highways. It isn't easy to find a way to do this. I had trouble seeing the route as a whole after I started driving. I wanted to know what towns were coming up next. I wondered if I should go through the short cut or stay on the main highway, but I didn't know how far out of the way it would take me. I had to back out of the navigation and start over. I have some learning to do, so the feature may be there. I had trouble with it. I had no idea where we were until I noticed the road signs, but I didn't see town/city names displayed as we went through them. This may be an option that I am not sure about. I am very pleased with the navigation. I was told which lanes I needed to use in order to make the required turns, and I was able to find my way. I think I could have done as well with the 5" screen as someone with less than perfect eyesight did with the 6 screen. The driver can adjust the brightness level to suit their needs, and the screen would split to show lanes at complicated intersection/turns. I had no issues using the mount. I had no problem with the mount after reading reviews that it doesn't work well. The touch screen requires some pressure. The screen is not as sensitive as a smart phone screen, but that was not a problem. I don't know if it's possible to connect to my car radio without trying. The volume on the device was enough for me and my hard-of-hearing husband. I will be sold on this product once I learn how to modify my travel route to avoid those pig trails and stay on well-traveled highways. I am glad I bought it and would recommend it to others.

👤It was very disapointed. There were no instructions with the gps. Web help is a lot of fun. Will go to Walmart and get a sd card after putting in home address. The card was installed and locked up. A tech came on the phone and told me I couldn't use a 64 gig sd card. How was anyone supposed to know that? There were no instructions for the gps. The gps is 99% full with one address installed. What a piece of garbage.

4. Garmin Navigator 010 N1679 0B Driver Alerts

Garmin Navigator 010 N1679 0B Driver Alerts

Easy to use dedicated gps navigator with bright display. Driver warnings for dangerous curves, speed changes, speed cameras, and more. There are lifetime maps of the US. Hotels, restaurants, and attractions have ratings on the website. Includes vehicle power cable, and a vehicle power cup mount. Includes vehicle power cable, and a vehicle power cup mount.

Brand: Amazon Renewed

👤The units are bad, the first failed on third use, the second failed on fourth use, and the third failed on fifth use.

👤It was stupid to sell this item into Canada without the country being on the maps. The ad for the item didn't say anything about the U.S. being on the item. It's stupid! It's stupid! It's stupid!

5. Garmin Drive Features Screen Lifetime

Garmin Drive Features Screen Lifetime

The Drive 6 USA is an automotive gps device. There is a 6 inch dual-orientation display. Lower 49 states have lifetime maps.

Brand: Garmin

👤When programming it wouldn't put in my state, it would take me to Florida, which is not where I live, and there were 5 previous users listed, yet it was listed as new. Does not have a charge.

👤I received a required and activation code for the Drive 6LMEX, but it wasn't on the receipt. Walmart is the biggest of the authorized distributors, and they required Garmin to add in this programming. The device is a waste of time, materials and money without that code. The device cannot be unlocked with a code. The seller was very accommodating and fast in responding to my issue. I decided to buy a gps in Alaska and only use it on my phone. The one I bought today had no code and works great, but they did away with the whole code thing after having too many issues. It's a different model, so beware, the 6LM EX might be an older model that they sold off without the codes.

👤I did some checking before I bought my old device. For a long trip or for the first time, my gps is important. Even though it wasn't the most expensive, this had everything I was looking for. I had tried another brand and it was a nightmare to use and program, so I had to return it. It is easy to register and update this unit. The features of the larger screen are familiar, but have been improved to be easier to use. I have three Garmins and each one has been better than the last.

👤It didn't work right when I first used it, but after I downloaded the maps, it works now. It doesn't work right.

👤I've been using the gps for a while now. The battery for this unit is not meant to be used without the car system plugged in. The battery backup isn't a true backup. It works well. The 6 inchers have a larger screen. It's the first gps that gave me my favorite route across the country. I am familiar with the system and was able to use it quickly. Like it.

👤This is my third. The voice breaks on the device. It gets all high pitched and breaks up making directions hard to understand. I am not sure if the speaker cracks or what the issue is. The gps is on my dashboard. I always come back to the device for the ease of operation, even with the same issues.

👤The Exit numbers on major highways near me have not been updated to reflect the new product. I think the numbers would be up to date with a new item. Disappointing.

👤My first and second Garmins. Like the larger screen and lifetime maps. This one doesn't give recognition so can't evaluate it. I won't use any other gps device.

6. Garmin 010 01678 09 Dual Orientation Display Navigator

Garmin 010 01678 09 Dual Orientation Display Navigator

Easy to use dedicated gps navigator with bright display. Maps of the U.S. and Canada are included. Driver warnings for dangerous curves, speed cameras, railroad crossing, animal crossing, and more. There are notifications for red light cameras and speed cameras. Includes vehicle power cable, and a car cup mount. Includes vehicle power cable, and a car cup mount.

Brand: Garmin

👤A German SUV has great in-dash navigation. It does not include speed limit notifications. This aftermarket gps has an excellent speed alert and demands the driver's attention through audible signals and warnings of speed limit changes, school zones, etc. A feature that I needed.

7. DriveSmart 6 95 Inch Navigator Bluetooth Traffic

DriveSmart 6 95 Inch Navigator Bluetooth Traffic

The navigator has traffic alerts. There are maps of the US, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and the Bahamas. Simple on-screen menus and bright maps show 3D buildings.

Brand: Amazon Renewed

👤If you miss a turn, the devise works well. Updating has been an issue because it does not find new addresses.

8. Garmin Navigator Display Lifetime Updates

Garmin Navigator Display Lifetime Updates

CUBE will ring if you press find and use the app to show last known location on a map. If you leave something behind, there is a separation alarm. Free lifetime map updates and Live traffic are included with the 5.0” truck navigator. Alert for upcoming Bridge heights, weight limits, and custom truck route for the size and weight of your truck. The display resolution is 480 x272. There is an easy break plan with notifications for breaks and road signs to suggest nearby restaurants. Truck stops by brand and amenities are included in the truck and trailer services directory. Control dzl with your voice, and enjoy built-in wi-fi and hands-free calling. This device is compatible with Windows and Mac OS X.

Brand: Garmin

👤I dislike this device. Disappointed with the navigation. 1. The designated Class truck routes are not shown. 2. It doesn't show the bridge heights. I need these two items in my gps device. The information is on my maps. The reviews of the gps manufacturers were not as good as the reviews of the other manufacturers, and I believe that the information and technology is not available with any gps manufacturers. The database will be very successful if a product is created with it. The fit and finish is what I like. Thank you, but you are disappointed.

👤The features are great, the display is great, and the main part is great. The navigation on garmins is terrible. It will usually bring you a longer way even with the shortest route applied. In truck mode, even with the size of the vehicle entered, it brings you down a lot of dead end roads. There is no need to purchase a separate unit for the better maps. This may be the case in Maine and New Hampshire, but not in other states.

👤The gps works well. I like that you can set it up for doubles and triples, I also like that it works better with my phone, and that it's easy to use with my phone. So far, it is very accurate.

👤This is a good tool for drivers. I was going to be delayed by 2 hours in Idaho due to construction. I was routed around it. It will warn you about accidents, construction, objects in the road, and other things that have been reported to it. The speed limits in Montana are not correct. It shows 70mph for back highways and 65 for freeways, but it has a state border off by about 4 miles. It needs some map updates. It will show you the weather in your route. A gps is not a rule. Use common sense and always read highway signs.

👤I would like to see a version of the maps for commercial trucks. The only way I could use a gps device was with my phone. The product does not recognize new roads or buildings. There is nothing in the new warehouses according to Garmin. That's where the maps come in. In Phoenix AZ, a new stretch of loop 202 going south is open since December, but not for Garmin. I wanted to get on I55 North from Damen Ave but my new $300 gps said "No trucks", which is not true. The navigation system should be less than $75. It is important for Garmin to keep its maps up to date. I spent $300 and updated my maps to be able to find a warehouse that was built more than a year ago. I'm planning to return the gps because it's not very accurate. I'll check out a Rand Mcnally, hopefully it's better than the other one.

👤This gps has gotten me in trouble with taking me down places. If I worked days I would be screwed at times from using this gps sent me down roads with cars parked on both side in residential areas.

9. Garmin Portable Navigator Discontinued Manufacturer

Garmin Portable Navigator Discontinued Manufacturer

Includes vehicle power cable, and a car cup mount. There are maps with free lifetime updates. The junction view has a lane assist with it. Speed limit indicator; street names.

Brand: Garmin

👤This is a pros and cons for me, and I have had it for about a month now. It doesn't say recalculating when you miss or choose a different route, that can be quite annoying. There is a My older model Nuvi is slower in calculating. Current information on restaurants and shopping in the area. There is a Some of the free voices and vehicles are better than the ones that are installed on the device. The cons are: The device doesn't say street names. There is a The touch screen is not very responsive. You have to push hard to get it to work. 2 out of 4 destinations have been wrong. The houses are on the opposite side of the road. I was not able to download additional voices or vehicles unless I used a miniSD card. There is a The maps are not as updated as they should be. We don't have that many roads in NM. There are paved roads that have been on the map for a long time. State/National landmarks and parks are not on the updated list. There is a If they are within 50 or so feet of each other, I am sometimes put on a parallel road. Sometimes it takes quite a while to recalculate, because of the change in directions. I was parked for over 20 minutes and it showed me facing East the entire time. I will keep updating with pros and cons.

👤This is my second unit. Both of them have been reliable. I have owned this one for a few years, and just came back to review it because Amazon reminded me that I had never posted a review. This is one of the most useful purchases I have ever made. I have used this to navigate in many places. It gives me accurate information about the roads I need to go on, and I always get to where I need to go. I went on a trip to France. The unit only comes with a U.S. map, but it is possible to purchase a MicroSD card and maps for other countries from the website. I got a cheap 8GB MicroSD card from a local retailer and used it to purchase a full Europe map from garmin and then use the gps in Europe. I used it a lot for driving in France and Italy, and it provided brilliant navigation through all the traffic circles, narrow one-way city streets, and picturesque country roads. Since all the autoroute highways in France are toll roads, the gps has an option to avoid them. The map had correct speed limit information, which was very helpful. Excellent quality maps are maintained by Garmin. The internal battery only lasts for 1-2 hours. When used in the car, the unit needs to be plugged in. If you are away from the car, the battery life is not the best choice for long hiking trips. I have used it for hiking, and it works well for locating coordinates. The box has a power cord that can be plugged into the cigarette lighter jack. The standard MicroUSB phone charger does not fit the MiniUSB version of the gps. The interface is easy to use. The anti-reflective screen design makes it easy to see the display in the sun. This is an easy 5 stars.

10. Garmin Drive Easy Read Information

Garmin Drive Easy Read Information

There is a navigator with travel data. Detailed map updates of the U.S. and Canada are included in the navigator. Simple on-screen menus and maps. Without using a phone, the traffic is ready to use right out of the box. The HISTORY Channel database of notable historic sites, a U.S. national parks directory, and millions of Foursquare points of interest are included.

Brand: Garmin

👤I used a cellphone as my primary navigation tool and purchased the DriveSmart 65. The cellphone navigation systems are great, but I didn't like the convenience of the stand-alone units. I didn't like the fact that the navigation apps weren't easy to see when I manually used the phone for a phone call. There are two more Unless you use a different app or download offline maps from the internet, there's no navigation when you don't have cellular coverage. There are 3 more I never found the offline maps to work for me, there was always a problem with resolution that I could not resolve. Offline mode was not always used to work in general. I tried some of the other free offline navigation apps, but they seemed to be behind in updates, and did not seem refined, leaving me with a slight but ever present apprehension in my mind. I didn't like the small screen size when in portrait mode, even though I had an iPhone Plus. There are five The navigation app on my cellphone ran in the background and was not visible to view. I didn't see all of the trip info functions that the vehicle navigators offered. The app navigators had the same trip info, but it was hard to see. The DriveSmart 65 was more expensive than the 55, but the extras screen real estate was worth a few extra dollars for me. It is hardware. The screen is beautiful! Great resolution and bright colors. The brightness is turned up all the way. The 6.9 inch is the perfect size for me since I like to have all of the trip data functions showing on the screen at all times while allowing for ample space for the map/ navigation which is the most important part. The screen seems to be made of glass, but I am not sure if it is scratch resistant. The frame has a minimal amount of bezel which adds to visual appeal but makes accidental touches easy when trying to adjust the postition/angle of the unit on the mount. The screen is responsive to touch and there is little lag navigating through the menus, as it should be for a device at this price point. The speaker is loud and clear. I don't know what processor is in the unit, but I hope it is an upgrade from last year's model. It is smart to get the best hardware within your means, especially if you plan on keeping the device for several years, to ensure it will be able to effectively run the software updates. I don't like the way the power cord plugs into the back of the device. It would be great if it was plugged into the side or bottom, because it would be easier to mount the device on a desk if the power cord was not sticking out. The mount is standard and works well for mounting on a window, but I have seen it fall off of a vehicle. I bought a friction dash mount from Garmin because it seems to work well for now. I can't state my findings because I haven't had the battery disconnected from a power source for that long. It is very easy to use the software. It seems that the years of production have allowed time for most bugs to be worked out. The high detail map option provides a lot of detail and is helpful in keeping the user oriented from a geographical perspective. When you zoom out with the intent to use it indefinitely, the unit will automatically zoom you back in to the default setting, even though it does not really want you to have full reign on the map. You can have phone notifications for email/text/etc to show on the unit if you sync your phone to it. The option to make and receive phone calls when you sync the device to your phone is available for those that may need it. The unit has the ability to update maps without a computer. After attempting to update the maps 4 times, I got error code each time and the device aborted the process. Maybe it is because my internet connection is not high-speed. It will be great to see if there is a similar issue among other people. The maps will have to be updated with a PC. Conclusions: The device performs well as expected. Excellent native route planning and accurate navigation. The screen is bright and high resolution. It's right in the sweet spot. I am not convinced that the features this unit offers are practical enough to justify the higher price. If the processor is better than last year's model, this is a good value. It was a factual decision. I don't have to use my phone as my main navigation when I have a stand-alone navigator. Happy with the purchase, even though I mentioned some things. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a navigator.

11. Garmin DriveSmart Notifications Activation TripAdvisor

Garmin DriveSmart Notifications Activation TripAdvisor

The gps navigator has connected features and a bright display. There are maps of North America with free lifetime updates. Use their mount to secure nvi to a mount. The package only includes a mount. Live traffic and Live parking are available when using the free link app on your compatible phone. This device is compatible with Windows and Mac OS X. There are voice-activated navigation and smart notifications. The battery life is up to an hour. The display is built in with built-in wi-fi for easy map and software updates.

Brand: Garmin

👤I have never owned a worse gps. The screen is fast and responsive, but where it really matters is navigation, and this gps is terrible. I just drove from Chicago to Seattle after it had the latest maps updated, and I was amazed at how poor its navigation guidance was, and how full of errors it was. It tells me to take pointless detours. It tells me I am going the wrong way when I am not. I am sent on goose chases for restaurants that don't exist. I've owned many of the Garmin units over the years, but this one is a dud. It's important to know that the gps is not traffic aware out of the box. It wants to be connected to your phone. If I have a data connection on my phone, why would I use a gps device?

👤I don't know if it's a software problem, but the DriveSmart gives bad directions. When I tested it out on my drive back home, I was sent in an unnecessary loop when I needed to make a left turn. There was no complex about the road. I've tested it on the highways and it sends me to the back alleys. It doesn't give me many alternate routes. I have an older version of Nuvi that does not have this issue. The screen is touch responsive and has internet. I want it to give me accurate directions. I used my old Nuvi 57 again after putting the DriveSmart in my trunk. Hopefully this is a software issue and can be fixed with an update. I should have listened to the previous reviews on Amazon.

👤I was hoping that a gps unit would give me everything G***** Maps has to offer when I am out of cell range. This is very close. It does voice commands well. I used it in Death Valley and on remote gravel roads in West Virginia, and it had the back roads in it's database. I would use it for hiking if they would offer topo maps for it because the screen size is better than my handheld and the operator interface is nicer. The DriveSmart 51 needs a better route preview feature to let me confirm which route it has chosen for me to take. If I want to confirm the route, I have to enter the destination into both G**** Maps on my phone and into the DriveSmart 51, and if the miles distance is the same, I can review it on my phone. This is not good. If I wanted to go to this trouble, I would just cache a bunch of maps on my phone, but this is also a time and data killer when traveling as much as I do. Dumping the accessory and providing the traffic-receiving car charging would be two improvements I would make. The screen is hard on the eyes when placed too far away. A $20 vent holder works better than a $20 phone holder, but they should decrease the thickness of the unit to make it more phone-like to fit in a vent holder. I got a Bestrixs one that works perfectly.
