1. GlobalSat ND 105C Micro USB Receiver

GlobalSat ND 105C Micro USB Receiver

The chip tracking sensitivity is - 165 dBm. The time to first fix is very fast. The interface is small. There is a built-in gps antenna. A built-in battery. The Microusb toUSB cable is for use with Windows and Mac laptops. It's suitable for portable application. Very low power consumption. It supports NMEA0183 V4. SBAS, EGNOS, GAGAN, QZSS are supported. Requires a "PL2303GPSInfo" app for the phone to function. It is compatible with operating systems: Windows,Vista, 7, 8 & 10; Mac, OSX, and Linux. This is a device for navigation. It's not compatible with most navigation software. It requires a 3rd party tool to convert to a "GPS Sensor". Please read the item description.

Brand: Globalsat

👤I picked up the new Fire tablet from Amazon hoping to use the non-Amazon Store apps. It was easy to do, so I downloaded the two navigation apps. When I received the GlobalSAT unit, I plugged it into my Fire tablet and started the TomTom GO service. I drew up a route around my condo. I used it to and from work today. I can't wait to use it on a long trip. My Honda Civic doesn't have navigation in the dash, but it's $85. I now have almost all of the features of an expensive navigation system at a fraction of the price. Music, gps, weather, video, even the internet are now just arm's reach away on my dash. I'm happy! You may need to install the "You Are HereGPS" app and run it in the background while using your navigation app.

👤The last year and a half has seen the use of the gps module to navigate ocean routes. The laptop has 2G of RAM and a 32G SSD. The program is called Coastal Navigator. The laptop's processor is an Intel N series, which is slow but still fast, and draws less power than other Intel N series chips. The laptop can be connected to the gps with a 8 inchusb to microusb. The screen has an upper right margin. The module is very accurate. The signal strength of the satellites above deck was found to be marginally higher. The deck of the boat is not as important as the cloud layer and humidity. I recommend letting the boat warm up while it is being prepared for sailing. The gps is ready to navigate when the speed over ground drops. Just as accurate as a large postage stamp. I would recommend carrying a spare if you have any problems with the gps device. Why not for just $30? I only use the sounder gps for looking for a sandy spot to anchor. Want a bigger screen? You can just buy a bigger laptop. The total cost of the package is $500. A dedicated unit and a 14-inch screen cost 5000 dollars. The Cockpit Repeaters are connected to the internet. The laptop is free to move about the boat if the gps is attached to it. The gps system is easier to use with a wireless mouse. The best laptops to use would be the ones with low cost and long battery life. The original device is still working just fine, 8/11/2020, just received another one as a backup, as the gps connection has recently failed. Something is wrong with the most recent Win10 update. I was very pleased to relay new information on the improved ND-105CGPS module. It took an hour or more to reach a low.01 knot speed over ground. The new unit was at.01 knot in 3 minutes. Quite an improvement!

👤I bought this to use with aviation navigation software on my Windows 8.1 tablets and it has worked great so far. Acquisition time is very short, and WAAS is enabled by default on the chip. This doesn't use the Windows 8 location API, but instead creates a COM port for an app to access location, which should be fine for most unless your app is newer and designed to only use the Win 8 API. In that case, there are a couple different software options available from other vendors that will send the data to the location API. Only one app can access the COM port at a time. I'm able to get a full WAAS signal in my house and car, and it seems to be very sensitive. I haven't tried it in the plane yet, but I think it will work. I noticed that if there is no power at all to the microusb port, the gps will continue to run, so if you have a sleep mode, it may or may not turn the port/GPS off to save battery power. I used this in the plane and it worked better than the handheld aviation gps that I own. I had a unit on my kneeboard where it was somewhat down low and not as good of a view of the sky, but it never had an issue with satellite reception. I don't need to worry about having an antenna on top of the panel. The little gps has been an awesome value so far.

2. G PORTER GP 102 Multifunction Device Logger

G PORTER GP 102 Multifunction Device Logger

G-porter has a variety of sport modes that can be used to make evaluations. Routes can be seen on maps. The GP-102+ is a portable device that can be used to return to a previously marked outdoor spot. SIRF-IV is a low power chip. The battery was built for 17-20 hours. There is flash memory for up to 300.000 way points. Provides sports tracking functions. It is easy to use. IPX6 is water resistant. The device is detected by the PC as a disk and does not require drivers. The device is detected by the PC as a disk and does not require drivers.

👤This thing has some benefits, along with a lot of frustration. I use it to take pictures while on vacation. It's difficult to charge it up again after driving/hiking for an entire day. It will go dead before the day is over if it isn't fully charged, because it will stop charging and deplete the battery when you start the day. I've used it on a few vacations, and it seems like I end up with a lot of bad files once the trip is over, like an entire day of tracks. It only has a small amount of memory. When the memory gets full, it keeps acting like it's recording your tracks, and never gives you a warning, but then you get home and you have a bunch of 0 byte files. The included software crashes on two different computers that I tried it on, and is worthless. Plug in the unit and download the.FIT files, then use an online conversion to change them to GPX or something else that is more usable. It consistently returns a longer distance than the trail signs indicate. When it works and the files are not corrupted, it seems to accurately record the position where I took the photos.

👤I bought the Canmore GP-102+ for windsurfing. It's an accurate device. Water-proofing is limited, so a waterproof bag is required. I use aLOKSAK bags, cheap iPhone armbands, and a waterproof armband. There is a The unit logs doppler speeds, but not precision data. I and many other people have shown it to be as accurate as the previous gold standard, the Locosys GT-31. The gps team challenge accepted it as an official accessory. It's okay to post results at gps-speedsurfing.com if you don't claim new records. The unit is small and cheap. I attached it to the handlebars by attaching it with some velcro. The small screen size is a problem for windsurfing since I can't read the speed. When I get home after a break, I'm mostly interested in evaluation tracks on my computer, and I usually check top speeds during that time.

👤The Pros are small. The time and lat/lon are displayed. Can be set to record for a short time. It seems to have a large recording capacity. There are at least 42,000 samples. Have not been tested for maximum. The battery life is at least 14 hours. Have not been tested for maximum. It is reasonably resilient to water. Have not tested more than hiking in mist. It seems to have good accuracy. In cities and under dense forest, I haven't fully characterized it. The Surf3GPS watch I have is slightly better in motion than its (Kalman?) filter is. The presentation is a drive. Track data is in a format called.FIT. Other files are not in the usual format. The cons are less important to me than the Pros. The two-button user interface is not easy to use. Press-hold was needed too much. Expect life-time issues. When powered on, the user interface is not optimal. It's not optimal for showing time/date/lat. When connected as a drive, it doesn't show if it's fully charged. Do not matter to me at all. YMV: There is a non-functional PC software that crashes. Some work could be done on the documentation.

👤I am very impressed with the device. I'm dealing with someone who lies more than a politician so this device is useful. You can choose which map setting works for you. The location is not an exact one, but if you pay attention to the landmarks you will find what you are looking for. You can see the movement on the map. The company's website has some helpful instructions. They help a lot with understanding how to use the device. It has been worth the money so far. The monthly subscription costs a bit. busting a liar is priceless.

👤In case of theft, I ordered this to track my car. It will have to be done every 5 to 7 days if you charge it for 5 hours. They will bill you $215.88 per year for a one minute refresh and more for real-time if you sign up for the gps tracking. They will not deliver on their promise of a free month. They tell you to take the car for a 20 to 30 min drive with the device on the top of the dash to get your car. They tell you where to put it. I couldn't drive it under the car. When it was in the interior space, it worked well. If you want to hide and expect it to perform, then this is not for you. I returned it to Amazon after 4 days. They hung up on me when I called to cancel my gps service which they had already billed to my card. I had to get my bank to open a dispute. I am still waiting for my money back. If you are looking for a tracking device that integrates with your cell phone, I would encourage you to look for another product that does not use your own car. The location of the gps device.

👤I can't say enough good things about this gps. It works well. The battery lasts for a while. Huge bonus! The magnet is strong and stuck under my car. My daughter wanted to go shopping on Black Friday. Without her knowledge, we were able to track her every move in my car. At one point it tracked her at 86mph. We had a discussion about that.

👤This is a great product. I can track the location of the vehicle, as well as the average speed, distance traveled, time travelled, and time the vehicle is parked on location. You can see it in a number of maps. The battery in the vehicle is about 65% remaining, and it has been installed in one vehicle. You can go back and check previous days and see activity reports. The app is very complete. I use it mostly on my phone app, but I also check it from a desktop with a lot more details to choose from. They recommend putting it on the edges of the vehicle under the car for maximum exposure, in every instance except once, it has picked up the signal and sent messages back. The one time it didn't pick up the signal was probably because the tracking device was still adjusting to the environment. Since that time, I have had no issues. No need to contact customer service for any issues, it's easy to install. Excellent product! I would recommend it to a person that is seriously considering it. There are online apps that don't require aGPS device, but they have to have the user's consent to be tracked, and have a lot of battery drainage. That is not an issue with this product, as you will know the location no matter what. It requires a monthly subscription, but I think it's worth it.

4. LandAirSea Waterproof Magnetic Personal Location

LandAirSea Waterproof Magnetic Personal Location

Tracking people, vehicles, and/or assets with a personal gps device. Ultra-compact design, built-in Super Strength Magnet. Attaches to vehicle are hidden in a backpack, case or purse. Track and map in real time on web-based software or SilverCloud App. Text and email notifications, location reporting, and historical playback are included.

Brand: Landairsea

👤I bought this because I suspected my boyfriend was unfaithful. I caught him doing the dirty with his ex-employee in his car the day it was delivered. Once you get to the point of wanting to find proof, you will find what you're looking for. It's funny thing... I didn't get to use the tracker yet because it was still on the charge.

👤The product is perfect. The case doesn't need to be strong. I was looking to find out where my husband was and it tracked the vehicle to the location. Evidence of his infidelity has given me peace of mind. Thanks for your help.

👤If you don't want to know the truth about a cheating person, don't buy this. I agree with that statement. This device will lead you straight there, so be sure to stop denying and be prepared to see the hard facts. The 30 second plan was too slow for me. The 10 second plan worked well for me. The company's people are amazing. The tech support is great. In the US. Very helpful and responsive. I only used it for a couple of months. Simple. You can use it under the vehicle. I found putting inside the truck to be just as accurate as putting outside. It's All True was the previous review. I am not a techie type person. I don't use tech whenever possible. I have to step up to the plate in certain situations. I have read at least a hundred reviews of this unit and many others in the same price range. The product is what was advertised. There is a It was easy to open an account on my phone. It took under 5 minutes. You have to pick a plan. There is a monthly fee. It's a small price to pay if you're serious about tracking someone. It was easy to get it up and running. It took 10 minutes. Max. It was partially charged out of the box, but it needed to be fully charged. The baby is accurate. I took it with me to run my errand and it showed me my location. At every stop. I know it has more features when using a computer, but I haven't had time to check it out. It is well constructed. The directions were easy to follow. It has a magnet in it. You don't have to buy a separate case. It seems like the battery life is good. It looks at all the boxes.

👤When it works, it works well. At times, the tracking does not update until the device is a long way away. Both of the gps units I purchased had the same issue. Better units out there are not reliable or safe in a covert situation.

👤The product was garbage, I put it on the car, and after one drive it fell of the car, and the battery died even though it was supposed to be at 60% life. $50 was wasted on the product and another $25 was spent on it. It was the worst waste of $75. Don't buy!

5. Invoxia Cellular GPS Tracker Motorcycle

Invoxia Cellular GPS Tracker Motorcycle

Protect and track anywhere in the U.S.A. with aGPS tracker. It's lightweight, small and concealable. In January 2022. It's built for preventing crime. Track down your vehicle and react quickly to attempted theft of cars, motorcycles, bikes, vans, boats, trucks and high value tools. Protect your family and friends with discreet tracking. You can have peace of mind by being monitored 24/7. It's great for seniors, teens, kids, family and friends. The battery can be up to 4 months. It is the most important feature for protecting against theft. Every 30 minutes, position updates. In 1 hour.

Brand: Invoxia

👤The first one came with no cell phone. The model I got is restricted in this region. The next one will hopefully work. I will update this review and rating once I find out. There is an update. The second one arrived without a sim. The Monimoto tracker was brought by me. It works. The Invoxia tracker was a shame because it was easier to hide. They might get their act together some day.

👤I bought this because it is the only one that will fit inside a bike frame. The signal disappears as soon as it is put in the frame. Tech support told me that this cannot be in contact with metal. I told them my bike is made of metal. The purpose of putting it in a pouch is lost because thieves can just throw it away. Tech support told me to return the tracker because it wouldn't work for the purpose I bought it for. There is a The battery life is amazing and the 2 years of coverage is awesome. I found another use for it. I will try the swisstrack gps bike tracker.

👤The first device I received was a DOA. The website doesn't have contact info so I used Amazon to exchange the item. It worked as expected. The company is uncontactable. The second device was activated well. It isn't very good at location tracking. I've taken it with me around the Southern California area, where it's very well covered cell services. The device is 60 miles from its last location and has been moving for 2 hours, but still shows the location where it spent last night. This is not good at locating a location. I bought this to compare with my product. Invoxia is very thin and sleek. Light and small. Style points for hardware. The cube is black. Solid, more useful LEDs, but slightly less cool. There is no website. It's a shame for those who want to use a computer. The "web 1.0" style site is how Americaloc works. I can see location data from my mobile browser because it's intended for computers. Invoxia only has "fast/normal/slow" update rates. Something like 15 minutes. There is a lot of practical control here. The update rates for GL300 are very low. This setting helps control battery usage and I have had it for years. It works. Invoxia doesn't work and it has worse features than other trackers. Don't buy.

👤If children travel in cars, this is not a good tracker. That's a good thing because it looks like it uses theLTE. If you are considering buying one of these, please look at the graphic that is provided in the listing that shows a cell phone screen with a map beside a tracker and notice a few things. The dots and time stamps are not stop points. The points where the tracker happened to be are just that. They are on the streets. They are connected with diagonal lines that cross over multiple possible routes. The fastest update setting is 5 minutes and a moving vehicle can go a long way in that time. The tracker will need to be charged more frequently if the updates are frequent. My Invoxia is just a few days instead of months. Imagine that the vehicle that the tracker was in used many of the same streets on the same day. Imagine a map that is cluttered with time stamps and you have to scroll all the way down to find all of the time stamps from a given trip to get a rough idea of the route that was taken. It can get very cluttered if you don't clear the screen before midnight. I have a tracker that updates every 15 seconds and renders the exact route that was taken. I can clear the map between trips with two taps, and I can play a history on the map of the whole day at many speeds. A single charge lasts at least 5 times as long as the Invoxia, even using 15 second updates. It has a strong magnet to hold it in place. I paid $25 for the tracker at Amazon and $9.95 a month for the cellular service that keeps it connected through SpeedTalk.net. The service is free. It is nearly perfect because it occasionally logs points that are not correct. They are easy to ignore because they are miles off target and could not have been traveled in 15 seconds. After about 2 months, my Invoxia stopped working. When I open the app, I can see a point near me, but not anymore. There is no time stamp. I've been trying to get this fixed for more than a month. It can take more than a day to send a message to them because of the different time zones. They are in Paris. I made a mistake when I set up my account. I can't get e-mails that are addressed to me because I made a mistake in my email address. I can communicate with tech support using a different email address, but I can't use automated features like password recovery. The fact that they didn't confirm that the e-mail address I submitted was working is a sign of their poor standing with me. If it's not very close by, I only know of the phone app or the Web site. I can send an email to my other tracker and get a link to a map showing it's location in seconds. I can do this from any smart phone. geo fencing is a feature that is supposed to alert me when a tracker enters or leaves an area that I have designated on a map. This feature has not worked well for me on either tracker. Some of the trackers are not compatible withLTE. Those that don't will stop working when there is a future date. There are a lot of gps trackers available. If Invoxia gets my tracker working again, I will post an update. The day after I posted this review, everything started working again.

6. Dual Electronics XGPS150A Multipurpose Augmentation

Dual Electronics XGPS150A Multipurpose Augmentation

Add Gps. You can strengthen your Gps signal on any device by connecting via wireless. The free downloadable app provides accurate gps coordinates, position update rate change, and much more. Being able to add accurate gps to your device will allow you to use hundreds of available apps. The Gps receiver has a battery life of over eight hours of continuous use and comes with a usb charging cord. That will stick to most surfaces.

Brand: Dual Electronics

👤It works better than I anticipated. I have an older WiFi only iPad Mini that I wanted to use for navigation but it doesn't have built-in gps. When I connected my iPad mini to the dual XGPS105A via a wireless connection, it asked to download the accompanying app. The app is useful. It tells you the number of satellites you are connected to, the signal strength, position information, and the battery status. I turned it on in the house because I couldn't wait but I was able to connect to multiple satellites with ease. I thought I would have to go outside. With the gps locked and loaded, I tried out some maps. Both worked well. My weather radar map is now location enabled. Awesome. I have taken it down the road a few times now, about 100 miles total, without issue, but I will update this review once I have a longer road trip under my belt. I didn't expect to see the app mentioned in any of the reviews or forums. This thing is special. I can't wait to try it out against other devices, like a newer iPad, windows tablets, and some surveying equipment. I will report back, but so far it's been good.

👤Don't buy anything from AXXERA or DUAL. The unit will work for 25 times, then the internals will short out, killing the battery, but they will sell you another battery. Next year there will be some other name. They changed their names to keep up with consumer fraud. Don't buy anything made by these people. You will be sad.

👤I bought a gps receiver for my Jeep. This product works in conjunction with my Apple iPad and provides pin point accurate gps for any app you are using. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to connect to my iPad via BluTooth once I turn on the puck. This could be my fault. Overall very pleased! It's easy to charge up at home or in your vehicle. Very easy to use. I stuck a piece of tape to the back of the vehicle and it still works.

👤For almost two months, use the dual XGPS150A with my iPad 2. Since the iPad 2 didn't have a gps receiver installed, I decided to use the dual XGPS 150A, which is described in the technical documentation to receive 12 gps and up. The dual XGPS15A is a free navigation app that has a very simple and minimalist design. The dual XGPS150A receiver is small and has Haptics very pleasant. The gps is green. The Bluethooth connection is created relatively fast after switch on, but the GLONASS satellites are not supported, but they are displayed in the app, but they are crossed out. It happens in dense forests on winding roads and in large cities close to tall houses. When you're on foot in New York, Boston, and Chicago, the pressure point is non-tactile, so locating is almost non-existent. The dual XGPS150A would no longer splash water and dirt if you removed the plastic cover and cut a hole in the non-slip pad.

7. REXING Smart Hardwire Mini USB Version

REXING Smart Hardwire Mini USB Version

It's made to use with all Rexing Supercapacitor models. The output is 5V, 1.5A, and the mini-usb port. The low voltage protection is 11.4V. The kit comes with a mini type fuse, you can connect your own if you need it. The Smart hardwire kit is not compatible with Rexing battery models.

Brand: Rexing

👤I stopped plugging my dash cam in the aux port when I started my car. I have drained my battery more than once when I forgot to plug it in. The installation is not very difficult because the wiring instructions did not work. I used a simple volt meter to check the status of the accessory and the main. The camera remained off even if the car was on or off because I had to switch the red and yellow wires between accessory and always on settings. The camera worked as I wanted it to. If your search doesn't work on the first attempt, be warned, it's likely a problem for other people. When I start the car, I want it to turn on, and off when I turn it off. The parking lot feature is not a deal breaker.

👤I had to check the reviews after I thought the cable was bad. Other users said the wiring is backwards. The camera finally powered on after I switched the wires opposite of the directions. It is a good value for what it does, so it is 1 star. The camera came with theRexing V1P and theusb connection is a bit looser than the 12v adapter, so it got 1 star for the faulty wiring from the factory. I think this will wiggle out eventually.

👤I bought this kit and the rear camera to add to my previous purchase. The kits arrive with almost no usable instructions. The "smart" kit wouldn't allow the parking monitor feature when the car was not in use. It prevented the V5 camera from starting on its own when the car is started, which it always did without the kit. This feature isn't worth the hassle of making the kit work to enable the parking monitor. The V5 front and rear cameras are working.

👤Installation instructions are not up to date. There are 2 Micro2-2amp and 2 Micro2 blade fuse taps. My vehicle only has Micro3 blade fuses. Micro3 fuses only start at 5 Amp and are not made in 2 Amp. I don't know if I can use this product.

👤This is a great addition to my car. I wanted to hardwire it and keep it clean. The lack of a 90 degreeusb is my biggest gripe. Here are some tips, but I don't take responsibility for trying this install. 1) My car has a mini blade fuse. I had to buy regular mini fuses to replace the one I removed. The fuse tap fit nicely and securely, even though it didn't look like it would fit. You can use a tester or multimeter to find out which side the power is on. Installation of the fuse tap is done 1 way. Use a tester or multimeter. The powered side may be different in each row. There are four Refer to #2 and #3 if your device doesn't work. There are five There was a spot that didn't have a fuse where the constant power fuse was. If the tap is installed correctly, it should power up. The kit has clips with 3m tape that you can use to run the cord. I was able to push it into the center console. It's a good kit, except for the lack of a 90 degree connecter.

8. Microcontroller Compatible Sensitivity Navigation Positioning

Microcontroller Compatible Sensitivity Navigation Positioning

The link to use the template is in the description. The gps module will not search for signals when the weather is bad and it will not search for stars indoors. Please make sure that the gps module is in an open location when using it. The main module of the GT-U7 needs to be set to 9600 instead of 4800 to drive a hardware high precision clock. The phone data cable can be used directly on the computer point of view, and the default distribution of active antenna can be quickly positioned with the IPEX antenna interface. The host computer-owned serial port function allows for the sending of IPX interface active antenna without the need for an external serial module.

Brand: Makerfocus

👤The U-Blox Neo 6m is a clone of this chip. There is a It's a device that uses 5 volts. Both 5v with Rx and Tx. The Baud rate is higher than typical modules. Once you are connected, it works with TinyGPS and AdadfruitGPS libraries. The U-blox U-Center software can be used to interface directly with the chip. The U-center is complex and daunting. Since the device is a clone not every feature is guaranteed to work through U-Center but many useful settings do. The software is a direct software. The baud rate may be different for the serial and theusb connection. It costs me a lot of pain to learn, so I'm going to try it out. I am using several of this module. It gets a fix very fast.

👤The unit is a great value. It appears to use an authentic U-Blox chip under the metal can and white label. Most U-Center software functions seem to work. I made an NTP time server using theRaspberry Pi 2. Accuracy can be reached down to a few 10s of seconds. This requires configuring the Pi to accept a signal from one of the pins. I used the "GPSD" and "NTPD" packages to interface with the unit. When first powered up, the gpsd appears to update the time and other parameters that allow a quick "cold fix" when the TX and RX serial lines are connected. There is a word on power and levels. The module on the board is 3.3v. The board has a 3.3volt regulator that can be used to power theusb port. The Vcc pin is connected to the input. This is the updated version. The Vcc pin is the only one that can be used to power the module. The Vcc pin on the onboard voltage regulator is not functioning properly. It appears to function normally, but will be subject to very frequent dropouts of 3D lock and other erratic operation. Also. If a computer is connected to a computer and the board is operating from 3.3v on the Vcc pin, the device providing power to 5v on its 3.3v output would be required. Be careful. 3.3v is the logic high input/output levels of the TXD, RXD and PPS pins. The link in the listing clearly states these interface pins are not 5 volts. If you use a device that uses 5v as its logic "high" to connect to an input on this device, you will damage the chip. It may work for a while, but it's stressing the chip beyond the maximum ratings. The data on the receiving device will be very sensitive to noise and corrupted data, so the data on the outputs is not damaged. It may seem like it works, but you should invest in a cheap 3.3v level conversion chip for a few dollars if you want to connect to an auderc. The device is exactly the same as the pi.

👤I love these things. It works beautifully with the TinyGPS library and is 5V friendly. You can modify the ublox u-center software if you hunt it down. I've been using them for custom clocks. Don't set the time! Even from a cold start in the basement, aGPS lock can be achieved in minutes.

👤For the most part, it will do the job. Each week there are more issues. I have it installed in the area. It's easy to use and understand, but when I tried to transfer data, it failed and I couldn't email the reports. As soon as you turn the engine on, you can drive. If it records driving, you can't change it, even if it's an error. I was looking at the inspection reports at the end of the day and it added more mileage. I knew I drove 400 miles that day, but I didn't record it. Explain that to DOT. The next day it corrected itself. Sometimes it would add extra miles to your report and the next day it would show correct. I drove 65000 miles in a day, but it was shown on the odometer report as 999999. Those weren't correct. It's ridiculous. It lags a lot at the end of the day. It will take about a minute to change duty status. You'll have to plug it back in if it loses signal while sitting in traffic. It will record a malfunction if you do that. I have it connected to a new device, but I don't think it's a tablet. The scariest thing is that it messes with the trucks obd unit. Sometimes it turns on the hazard flasher lights on its own. Sometimes it takes about a minute for the headlights to turn off when I manually turn my lights off. I have not had any issues with this unit. I didn't think it was a good idea, I thought it would be better with a name like Garmin. It's not close to a reliable product. If they don't update it, I'll have to change it. It's new technology that just rushed to the market, and forces us to buy their crappy products, so change it with what, they all must have issues.

👤The connection always disconnected. He said this has been sitting at the fulfillment center for over three years after he gave them the s/n. Even though it isn't compliant with FMCSA regulations, Amazon decided to sell it. Thanks Jeff!

👤If you don't calculate the hidden cost, this ELD is relatively cheap. This ELD requires a dedicated phone or tablet, which is not a problem with all the ELDs out there. For small fleets, it doesn't work unless you buy a tablet with a constant data connection or one that can work on a hotspot. If you use the same phone for both tablets, you can only use multiple drivers on this ELD. You can't use multiple phones that have their own app. If you log out the next driver, the ELD and app will have to be reset because each app creates its own account. Don't buy the dezl garmin gps tablets because they connect to the ELD via your cellphone or data tablets. I realized it was cheaper and more reliable to use keep trucking ELD after buying a few of these things. I hope this helps.

👤I bought the Tracki because I suspected my husband was doing something, it was a great device and works great, I highly recommend it.

👤I bought these to track the movement of my vehicle and belongings when I am moving across the country. The instructions state to charge the battery for 12 hours until the blinking light stops. The light stopped blinking after I charged the battery. The device was placed perfectly in my home, I was delighted to see how accurate it was. I set the device to send a signal for 4 hours and it should have given me 30 days of tracking. I took the device to the vehicle carrier depot after putting it in my car. I wasn't concerned because it hadn't yet been 4 hours, and the app still showed it back in my house. I knew something was wrong when it was still showing at my house. I called Tracki the next morning and asked what was wrong. The person who answered the phone was pleasant, and I was told that the device was set to internet, not gps, which is why it showed in my home. I was told that they could reset it remotely, but I might have to power down the device and restart it. I had a problem with my device being somewhere else. I didn't know where I was because Tracki wasn't following. There are two more The battery is now 31%, not 24 days after I activated the device. It wouldn't last more than 2 days. If my car makes it to its destination, I will be able to see that device again. It is anyone's guess if and when it will happen. Thank you for that. The other two devices that I planned to place along with my belongings will be taken by the moving company. The battery life is stated on Amazon in a way that is not true. The instructions are incomplete and make the device useless. Buy at your own risk. The person who answered my call at Tracki told me that their supervisor would call me back later when they arrived at the office. I'm still waiting. Tracki, thanks again.

👤I want to like this and I will start out with a positive. It's easy to hide. I was going to give this three stars but the negatives added up and the app was updated making things worse. You can view history on the phone app or on the web interface. Each interface has its own abilities, but not the other. The maps looked the same until the phone app was updated. The mess of lines when tracking history became even worse as the function of telling you the direction of travel on the phone app was lost. You can export a log file, but it has no support for viewing on earth, and you are stuck with random dot points. Pulling up history can limit you to a few days of tracking. It's difficult to remember when a particular event happened or when a person was driving unless you want to download the file and alter it using third party software. It takes more power to track a moving object. I stretched it out to 2.5 days once or twice but I had to charge it daily. I was going to hard wire it into the vehicle, but they updated the app. It's difficult to remove and install it so often that the tracker can be charged. Hard wiring defeats the purpose of having a small device. I tried turning the device off for 15 minutes then on for 5 to take a reading, but it didn't help. There are no instructions for doing that, but you can make changes on the web interface. The app gave you more options if it was in the past 24 hours. You only could view full days at a time if you checked history after a day had passed. This tracker should be updated once a minute. This is the most slow setting for other trackers, some update every 3 to 5 seconds. The track will not follow roads often. I used other trackers that lasted 2 full weeks, which is more than the unit gave me. It was possible to see a lot of stops at one minute intervals. Reducing the intervals in order to save battery life made it impossible to see people pull over to pick up someone. It's difficult to determine what roads were used. It doesn't track data like others do. I had better luck with free apps on an old cell phone. I dropped my phone in the car. Silly me. The "magnetic mount" is not a mount at all. The app lost function after being updated. It was changed to a very plain looking map that makes it hard to figure out the location. You can change the view to something else that is more visible, but it will always be the same view I dislike. I was going to give this a three star review but ended up giving it one star for all the things I mentioned. How did we get to this point? At this point, I am giving it five stars. A person reached out to me. He appreciated my negative input and was very professional. I was under the impression that they try to make the product better. I waited to update the review, maybe a little too long. I wanted to see the improvements first. Customer service and attention to detail really impressed me. What about the improvements that I'm talking about? The web interface received an update. The battery saving function can be set up on all formats. History can now be looked at in a different way. The arrows are back indicating the direction of travel, and the map now retains your preferred method of viewing it. I added another photo to show you the difference between the old map and the new one. The app is less cluttered and gives you more information. I don't have to switch from the app to the pc to get all the features. I believe they will try to add more features. The unit is selling below competitors. It was accurate. The monthly fee is lower than most competitors. It is still a disappointment to me that the battery life is not better. It usually falls between what they say. It surprises me with a third day for me, usually two days. I can't take a star off for this because it's in a normal variation and as advertised. The thing with this device is that you can pick what you want. A small device that is very lightweight for a kid to carry in a backpack. The choice is yours. I haven't used the extended battery pack yet, but it's charging now. The small tracker is not any larger than the competitors in other waterproof cases. I will probably update after I know how the case works. The company has turned my opinion around with great customer service. I just canceled my service. I wanted to say that the company changed a lot in the time I used them. This product has given me a lot of thought, even though I originally hated it. My kid has a job now that he is 18. I don't think I should keep a record of his every move as he is an adult. I had no problem going weeks before it needed a refill. I would get a low batt warning when the battery level dropped. After the first warning, the battery would last about 5 days. The standard battery is not good. The service was accurate. They added a lot of things, such as running mileage and other reports. Sometimes it gives you readings of KPH instead of MPH, even though everything is set up correctly. I'm now a happy customer. Customer service was always responsive to my concerns. I will install this unit to track my motorcycle in the spring, but at this point it's not necessary.

11. GlobalSat BU 353 S4 USB Receiver Black

GlobalSat BU 353 S4 USB Receiver Black

A built-in gps patch antenna. A built-in roof mount Magnet. 48 channels of all-in-view tracking SiRF Star IV is a gps device.

Brand: Globalsat

👤The NMEAGPS Receiver is used for applications. Does not provide location services to Windows. It was weatherized to handle all but submersion. It can be attached to many surfaces without damage. The body panels of a car are included. complies with the standards of the NMEA. The interface is a standardusb-to-serial The COM4 settings are used by the NMEA interface. There is no support for Windows location services. The device is an NMEA device. It will work in any location that works with NMEA, but no modern Windows applications. It is only IPX6 rated, meaning it is not truly waterproof. It can handle a lot of rain. Only one location update per second. This is not a 5hertz version. There's a software package that will connect to an NMEA device and create a Windows Sensor for use with location services. This is a software solution for the hardware manufacturer's lack of native software. There are some bugs. It works. The package in question is calledGPSdirect. My only problems are with the software. I know the device complies with the standards it claims to support. There are newer standards in 2015.

👤They started giving me times in 1905 after using these for a while. I get the correct date when I boot up. The receiver no longer responds and sends data after I tried to go back to the script I wrote. Until the date changes, it works well with gpsd. It works well, other than producing data that is useless. I'm not sure if we're talking about the same device. The one I have connects to a port at a rate of 5000 baud. A driver is needed to read serial data. Any application can read the data once the driver is installed, I wrote a Python script that opens the device and reads the "sentences". The first consideration is that the initial read could be a bit long. The reader has to sync with the stream, which is not difficult considering the second consideration, which is each sentence is terminated with two newline characters. When you get a full line that starts with a '$', you sync by reading. I can read the data from the receiver using "cat". The heading sentence is not generated by the receiver. The antennae is bulky, but magnetic.

👤This is my 3rd one. I use them on Windows 10 64 bit machines to do the time setting for some applications that I run. The mini-disk that comes with the puck has a utility. Your windows time is dead on if that utility is running. Turn off Windows internal time setting so they don't compete. Highly recommend the software. The program and gps ran 24x7 and the difference between Time.is and this was +0.011 seconds. I have an Amazon purchased gps repeater that is stuck on a broom handle against a window in my basement and I am seeing 7 satellites from it. The sensitivity is very good. The HDOP is 1.9 and thePDOP is 2.5. Anything below 4 is considered great.
