The battery should be replaced each year, but not the cube. Attach CUBE to anything and let the community be your search party. Did you misplace your phone? Even if the app is not running, use your CUBE to locate your phone with ring, vibrate, and flash. There is no need to replace CUBE every year. You should replace the battery once a year. Extra battery is included. CUBE will ring if you press find and use the app to show last known location on a map. If you leave something behind, there is a separation alarm.
👤I only had this for a few days but it was useful. It is easy to set up and I have been using it as a locator for my Bengal cat. The app tells you if you are getting closer or further away, so I didn't have to make it ring to find him. My cat doesn't mind it at all, even though the cube pro seemed a little heavy.
👤After using Tile for two years, I got annoyed with their replace the entire tracker bit, however no tool comes with it to open it, so try a flat head screw driver, not a big deal, also comes with.
👤The only issue I had was the battery that was dead but luckily they sent a back up battery. I got a notice on my phone that says the battery is low and needs to be changed after installing a battery. The back up battery is good for 12 hours. How long has this been on the shelf? It's pretty ridiculous. If I had the time, I would find a battery that wouldn't be that big of a deal. At this point, the stars are being lowered. There is an update. I received a brand new unit from the company and was told I must have received a bad unit. It happens. All forgiven. It's a good thing. It has served its purpose on many accounts, and it does exactly as it is supposed to.
👤It was ok for about an hour. Don't buy it. I bought this for my cat. She has a food bowl that the other cats don't eat. I don't like paying 10 dollars for a new collar because she kept losing it. When she loses the collar, I bought this to find it. There is a The cat drank water for less than a minute and the cube was dipped in the water. The cube wouldn't stop finding my phone until I stopped the app and turned it off. The same thing happened when I turned the app back on. When I press the " find" button from my phone, the cube stops trying to locate it, and then it stops playing music. The button on the collar isn't being pressed, so the "find phone" keeps going off. I am very disappointed because I bought this for its waterproof rating and it acts like it's not waterproof at all. The tag wasn't in the water for a minute before all these problems arose. I will return this and try to find a different way to find the cat's collar.
👤I ran across the Cube Pro on sale when I looked through Amazon during the major sale months. My original goal with the Cube is to help me find my car in a crowded parking lot, even though I don't have a problem with keys or other devices. The sale price made it possible for me to ask a question, even though I did not get a definitive answer. It arrived two days later, and I downloaded the app. I drove to dinner with my wife after hooking the cube to an open spot inside the car. The middle of where everyone else in the world wants to eat and do the tourist thing is the restaurant in St. Augustine, which is usually a nightmare for tourists in December. I had to park a mile away. As I walked out of range of the cube, it showed me the position on a map of where the signal went out. Cool! It was easy to get back to the car. I shop on a military facility and there is no map. The method of finding a car in the base parking lot is not easy to use. I need more time to see how I can use this device. If I were to use the cube for its designer's goal, my 4 out of 5 could still go higher, because I don't use cube to find my keys. The intended purpose of the device is being changed.

Dogs can be tracked throughout the USA, Canada and 150 other countries with a WORLDWIDE LOCATION TRACKING device. You can manage all features via the free app.
👤Don't buy! I knew this only worked with a subscription. They said it was free, but couldn't get that to work so they paid for a subscription. I tried to use the device while on the dog or in my hand, but it didn't work. I drove 30 miles through town with it on my dash and it said no history. I still have 1-2 bars of mostly 4G and can make and receive calls, even though the cell signals are weak here. I gave up after 3 days of trying. Amazon accepted the return. The cancellation and refund of the subscription service is a nightmare because of the active website from Austria. You can get a refund within 14 days, but how? They don't allow you to remove your method of payment and only say that it will go away if you cancel your subscription. The only way to get a refund is to request an RMA, however they have a link to request an email address and order number. The order number does not exist, even if they show it in their link of where to find it. I have account numbers, invoice numbers, transaction IDs and 888-349-8884 They don't have a phone number for support or a chat option. We'll see how that goes after I filled out the form. I submitted a request to dispute my documentation because I kept good records and took screen shots throughout the process. They are also off. I gave it a full charge for several hours on Tuesday. After lunch I put it on my dog's collar and he went in and out of the house and around the property with me. The device had no charge by the following morning and never showed any activity online. The battery life of the tracker is less than advertised, with a charging time of up to 3 hours, since it was not in "live" mode.
👤Was hoping for better. I settled on this one after a lot of research. I'm not sure if I'll continue with them. The device is ok but the battery life could be better. There is a It's ok to navigate when using the app. I live in a major city and there should be no connection issues since I live in a major city. The actual tracking of my dog is ridiculous. I showed them the tracking and it showed the dog running through the neighborhood and the dog playing in the other room. It's hard to track your dog if it runs away because of the issues on the gps device. There is a subscription. You save money by buying longer-term, and you can cancel anytime. There is a But... You can't just try it out for a month. There is a I bought a year thinking I'd cancel if it wasn't working. I had no issues canceling it. Your subscription is canceled at the end of the year. Since you paid for the year, they don't give refunds and the device will stop working at the end of the term.
The US version of the Handheld device has a gps dog finder that displays your dog's location along with your location on a topographical map. The handheld device has over one hundred thousand topo maps with unlimited lifetime map updates. This location system uses HopTek technology to track your dog up to 10 miles away, and you can purchase additional TEK Series 2.0GPS Tracking Add-A- Dog Collars to track up to 21 dogs. The direction and status of your dog can be viewed or listened to, and the Handheld device will show the path your dog took to get there. The handheld device and gps collar are both waterproof and can be updated with the included cables. SportDOG has become the most recognized brand in the electronic tracking and training categories because of the heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, mud, and wind that they design in the field.
👤I expected it to work because I spent $600 on it. The remote shows my dog running all over the place up to 73 yards in all directions while I watch the sky. The corner markers are not accurate and I have a clear view of the sky. There are a lot of errors when the dog and I are in the middle of a large geographic area. After each refill, the collar needs to bepaired with the remote. The batteries last less than a day. The gps shows no contact between the collar and remote. I contacted SportDog customer service and they helped me out with a new component. The errors are still with the replacement. The tone, vibrate, correction function works perfectly. The gps function does not work. I am a military radio operator. I know the functions. I must conclude that this device is not reliable. I'm sending this item back and will try an electronic collar with expectations of better results. The November 21, 2018, update is here. Sport Dog replaced the TEK 2.0 system five times. The collar won't pair with the handheld remote for a few weeks. The system should work all the time. Five times customer service has taken the issue to their customer service advocates, Matt or Christine, but they don't call me back. I am told that Matt or Christine are not available when I call back. I have spent $600 on something that doesn't work and can't get good customer service. SportDog customer service does their best to help me, and everyone I have talked to has done their best to help me. They told me that the system should work. The issue is not that I am in a suburban area with good gps coverage. A replacement for TEK2.0 will not be available until mid January. Until the TEK2.0 is available again, they will provide a remote trainer without the gps feature. I'm not happy.
👤I have had this unit for five days and have had time to test it. I bought it because I hike with my dog a lot and in Oregon we are hiking in the forest. I don't want to call out to my dog if he doesn't need to because he is easy to lose sight of and I don't want him to run off. I had read the negative reviews but had a great experience with my SportDOG 425 so I was scared but not loathing. I decided to take the plunge. My observations are as follows: The unit is easy to set up. threading the lanyard on to the handheld was the most difficult part for me. The instructions are easy to find and follow. I am a 67 year old technical laughingstock and I had no trouble following the setup guide. It took me 45 minutes because I am slow, but I will be fine. The unit was tested on my German Shorthaired Pointer on the Oregon coast and it worked perfectly. I went for a couple of hours on a trail in a forested area. Again, flawless. I was worried that the heavy tree canopy and the ravines would prevent the unit from receiving a signal but it worked great. There are 3 more The handheld is easy to use. I played with it for about an hour prior to using it with the dog and I was able to navigate around it easily. It's like learning to navigate around a new phone, you just have to use it for a while. It can be hard to see in the bright sunlight. The handheld is small at just over 10 ounces. It's too heavy to wear around my neck for me. I think a belt clip or holster is more useful than a lanyard for carrying a shotgun. I will try a carabineer to see how it works. I did not need the help of SportDOG's customer service department to set this up, but I have contacted them on two other occasions for questions about my 425 and found them to be available, knowledgeable, and willing to help. They don't have a real overnight shipping option at any price. If you order a part on Thursday morning, you won't get it until Monday because it's next business day after a day of processing. There are five It's fun to tell kids that your dog is a robot and that you can control it with a remote. I don't think this unit will fail if you need a gps tracker for your dog.
A dog has a gps tracker. Only for the US. They have a good chance to track your dog in areas that 3G trackers can't because of the 20%- 30% more coverage they have with their smart tracker. If you don't know if the tracker can work at your place, please contact them. The 30-day battery life is notmatched. Other 3G trackers last less than a week. When power is less than 30%, send an alert. It takes 2 hours to charge from zero to 100%. It's time saver for busy life. Pet activity and feeding recommendations. Track your dog's daily activity, distance traveled and calories burned. It sets daily exercise goals and feeding recommendations for your companion based on age, weight and breed. Share the data with up to 10 accounts in the app. Proactive dog finder. There is a safe zone alert and lost dog mode. Get notification when a dog escapes from a safe zone. When urgent searching mode is activated, location data will refresh every 50 meters, a timely way compares to refreshed by minutes, which will help you find your escape artist as soon as possible. You can try a one month trial. The dog's gps tracker requires a cellular network to pull location data. They offer a free trial. There is no need for a sim card. From the second month, it will be as low as $2.99/mo. Pets over 8 pounds are suitable.
👤The full review is here. I don't know how to setup the plan. I contacted them and asked if they could help me setup my plan. I received a message that said "I no setup". If you are trying to find your pet and need help, you will not get it. There are few problems with the product. 1 - The accuracy is not good. It could be 75 to 100 feet. It only changes occasionally. It's hard to know how old the last update is, and your pet could have already moved on. There is a close search option that will take you from one bar to three bars in a few feet and back to one bar. It is not real time. It is unreliable. Our pet showed up on a map 1500 miles away in Florida after being outside for 15 minutes. It happened twice. It will fix it on its own if you wait 30 minutes. It's not good if you want to find a pet. Very bad support. Sometimes unreliable. It takes more detective work to find a pet than you think. If I could have gotten the plan, I would have kept it. I will go with a name brand option.
👤I started with Fi because I wanted a collar for my fence jumper. These guys got with AT&T after Fi couldn't get theirs to work. The other guys failed where they succeeded. I like how the location can be shown on maps. I am happy with my choice. P.S. It's less money as well.
👤It is amazing! Works as advertised. I was skeptical because this is the only gps tracker on Amazon that promises a 30-day battery life and inexpensive service via 5G. After using it for a week, I am very happy with it. It requires a 5G network. You need to look up coverage map in your area. ATT is the carrier for the Los Angeles area, according to customer service. When I was in a rural area with no 5G coverage, it was not possible to relay its position to my phone, even if it was within 20 feet. The promised 30-day life is believable if 75% power remaining is reported after 1 week. Straight forward. It took 10 minutes to install the app. It was connected to the 5G network 20 minutes later. It takes a few seconds for the device to be pinged for a location update. In a two-story house with a tile roof, you can get a signal from the downstairs. I used the live chat feature within the app and my question was answered right away. Both seem good. My 7 pound puppy doesn't seem to care about his collar. The first position fix of a walk can be off by half a block, but a second ping will always nail it. The service plan price is for three years, two years and a year. Even when it is hours or days old, it labels the last position as currently located. The time of the fix would be better listed. You don't know where your dog is until you click to update the position, or it is periodically updated because you are moving. The feature for finding the device is only available for 20 feet. If the device was lost in the house, it would be useful to find it, but not for finding your dog.
There is a prescription plan needed. The subscription plan for data traffic on a 2G/GSM sim card is no less than 30 million monthly. If there is 2G cellular coverage in your area, you can get a sim card which supports 2G cellular from your country. Any location can be tracked if it is on the map and you want your dog to not lose it. You can keep your dog safe and happy by knowing frequent places to go and track the history of the pet. You can track on their lifetime free APP and view its historical route. There are other functions on the App. The dog's tracker collar is lightweight and adjusts to the dog's weight. The neckband can be adjusted. Your pet will like it.
👤The tracker works as described, but there is one exception. The tracker will not be waterproof and will be barely water resistant. I won't be using it for my dog because she splashes water on her gps units. I might be able to improve the water resistance by covering the cracks with waterproof tape. I can assure you that the rubber barrier on the unit won't stop the penetration of water. There is a There are a number of features that I like. I've used several of the big pet gps brands, and have been less than satisfied with each one. Some units don't allow you to control it, or it's kludgy. I haven't found a Frequency control on this unit, but it does update frequently. I can work with that. I like the way the unit is communicated with. The old Loc8tor units had something similar, but they are no longer offered. The mapping is nice, the mobile app uses maps. This unit is a true locator. If the unit has a cell tower in range, it can be found no matter how far away you are. How well the unit lasts will be the true test. I've had several that have done well when new, but die within a few months. It's a pain to get a warranty replacement. I had a unit replaced under warranty, but it failed within two weeks.
👤I was happy to find a tracker that does not require a monthly service and can accept any mobile phone card. I am on a cellular plan that uses T-mobile and it has data-only sim cards that are part of the plan at no extra charge. The tracker description recommended the use of aGSM and T- mobile. I thought it would be perfect for my needs and I would not have to pay extra fees since it's part of the plan. I am not sure if this tracker will work if it requires it's own number and support for SMS. This was a huge disappointment and very puzzling as to why data-only sim wouldn't work. After about a minute, the tracker got the cellular signal and the gps signal, so it clearly had service and location. There is no way to get in touch with it without a phone number and a text message. Why? The app doesn't see the tracker and HairMax I had to send it back because I couldn't find a tracker that would work with a data-only sim card. Unfortunately, this will not work for you if you are on a service that only allows data.
👤My dog drowned the first tracker I was on, so I am on a second one. The dog was to blame because the device's specifications don't promise protection against submersion. I've opened the new one and covered PCB with silicone sealant and dielectric grease and will see if it fares any better. I use SpeedTalk for $5 a month. The device started responding to the command immediately, but it wouldn't show up in the browser or application. After several hours, the problem was fixed by itself, after I struggled with it for a bit. The seller was very helpful and I added it back because of the complicated setup and lack of water protection.
The protective cover is made of environmentally friendly Silicone, Sweat-Proof, and Scratch-Resistant. It is suitable for the diameter of the collar. And 1inch. Full protection is what protected. The case surrounds the edges of the device to make it more protective and hold it tightly. The air tage is designed to make sure pets and items are not lost. You can hang it on your pet's collar or school bag, so you don't have to worry about it. There are multiple choices. There are multiple combinations of two-piece and four-piece that will fully meet your requirements, and their airtage has a variety of colors to choose from. The color difference of the item is normal because the resolution of the display screen is different. Only the silicone case and protective film are for sale.
👤It is large for a cat collar. I wish it was smaller. Hopefully a smaller one will come out in the future. The air tag is held in wonderfully.
👤The holder fits on the collar well. The AirTag is nicely placed. If your pet has a lot of legs, it will fall out eventually, because of the design with the AirTag facing out. It was fun to find it the first time it fell out. I have never seen it since it fell out again a few days later. I kept the tag on the dog's collar since I liked the color and it matched the leash. The AirTag seems to be held against the collar by other products. I'll probably try one of those next.
👤I used to have her airtag dangling, but it got in the way because she runs. Pugs have a wide chest so it's better to have the airtag strapped to the collar. I think it makes a small difference in comfort but a big difference. It is kept off the ground in silicone to prevent it from being knocked around so much. I really like it. I have an orvis collar that is perfect for me and stays in place.
👤Purchase for a cat and it was large for the collar. It didn't seem like it would hold the Apple tag securely. You have to rely on the pressure against your animal to not fall out.
👤It works well on the collar. It's not sure if it will hold up in the long term.
👤We love them so far. There were screen protectors with it. The airtag is pretty secure inside the case.
👤Airtag came out. I was able to locate it.
👤The tag has fallen out before. We have to find the house for it.
Tracking live and hourly. The exact location of your pet is pinpointed by their pet gps tracker. You can retrieve the movement history for up to 90 days if you know where your pet is. The tracker has a mobile application that makes it easy to monitor your pet. It's virtual gunfire. You can set a virtual fence where you will be notified when the pet crosses it. You will get a notification when the pet comes home. There are multiple positions. It is easy to place the tracker on the dog's body, but you should put it on the collar. If you can place it elsewhere, it still works. Waterproof: They bring you the best dog tracker that is waterproof, dustproof, and earthquakeproof because pets are unpredictable. You can easily find the pet no matter where she is. 100% SATISFACTION: Their tracker is designed to give you peace of mind when taking care of your pet. This product will impress you with its accuracy andDurability.
👤The product came in without a tracker. The replacement came without the tracker. Don't waste time or money.
There is no monthly fee for the Petfon gps tracker. The small, durable, and rainproof device allows you to track your pet's activity and location in real time. The Petfon gps tracker uses a variety of wireless technologies for accurate positioning. The Rada serching feature can help you find the lost dogs. Petfon is easy to use and install. Follow the instructions to download the Petfon app. You can see your pet's activities and see his location at any time with the app. The ranges can be up to 3.5 miles in an open environment. It will be effected by surarroundings. GEOFENCING,MULTICOLOR,CUSTOMIZABLE VOICE COMMAND: If your pet leaves a safe area, you can get notified instantly with the Petfon gps tracker. The lights on the gps tracker can be turned on to locate your pet in dim light or at night. Voice commands can be recorded and stored on the tracker to communicate with your pets. The weight and the rainproof are included. The Petfon is small and durable. It does not work for swimming in wet weather, thanks to the rainproof feature. Petfon's battery can last up to 8-16 hours and comes with a charging station. It's perfect for going off the grid. Petfon2 is a different color than Petfon1, and it is dirt resistant. Petfon2 software has been changed so it is more stable. The initial positioning time is 10 seconds shorter than Petfon1, which makes the tracking quicker and more accurate.
👤I bought this device for my Border Collie because she was bad about crossing the road to chase deer. We live on land. The main point is that it works, so you should take it off and charge it at night. I get a notification almost instantly on my phone when she is 100 yards away, and within 60 seconds I get a second notification that she is back in the leash perimeter. I was able to record my voice saying "Come" which freaks her out and sends her running right back towards the house every time it rained despite all the negative Amazon reviews that said it doesn't work in bad weather. It's great for us. I love the remote control, but there have been a few times when she didn't turn right after exiting the perimeter, that I pushed the button on the remote. She turned around and went back to her house. Maybe others are not charging. I want to make sure it works during the day. The device has helped us. I had tried some of the top products and they didn't work for me. The device is a lifesaver, it keeps my dog on my property, without the need for a fence. I highly recommend this! Thanks to the engineer who made this, it is easy to use and works well in Montana.
👤It has been upgraded several times since the initial review. I can see which direction my cat is moving as it is shown in real time. It is convenient to go out to get the cat. My cat is now registered as a cat, not as a beagle, because it has a cat category. I love the added features of the device, like the radar and almost real time tracking. It shows where my cat likes to hang out. It has improved the lives of cat owners. Thank you! We live in a suburb. My cat is in the garage. He goes out in the morning and comes home by 4:30 pm. He is about 11 lbs and active. The device is slightly bigger than I wanted, but my cat doesn't seem to care. It picks up the signal 80 percent of the time, but then it goes offline because my cat got under a deck. It works great when it works. I opened the door to the garage because I saw that my cat was on his way to my house. It shows its daily trails in a nice way. It gives me peace of mind to know where my cat is. He was a stray and is happy when he is outside. I have been looking for other tracking devices and this one is the best so far. You have to update the app to add a cat. My cat is registered as a beagle, which is not fair.
👤I received a gps tracker in the mail a few days ago and I am very pleased with the device. The app is easy to install and use, and I didn't have any issues with the tracker and receiver beingsynced to my phone. I was excited about this product because my dog likes to run the neighborhood and we live in a rural wooded area. The tracker seems to loose connection easily. It has been done while I have been in my house with the receiver and outside with my dog. I don't know why it is losing connection. The device is powered on. I wanted it to work for us. I decided to keep it because it seems to work better after we shrunk the safety zone. My dog went out of the "geo-fence" and the receiver wouldn't let him go. Our house is situated in the middle of 15 wooded acres and our dog is allowed to go outside without being on a leash or inside a fenced in area. He would wander off and visit neighbors before I knew he was gone. I wanted something that would allow me to be a lazy dog owner. The app was able to notify me when he went beyond the safety zone because of the size of the fence around my house. I pushed the button outside and my dog ran after me. The tracker and receiver disconnected when he went to lie under the greenhouse to get out of the heat. I was able to put the receiver outside on the porch railing and have my phone inside with me, the connection didn't seem to have trouble staying connected. I think this would work well with him on hikes. There is a new update on 9/23/19 that is not waterproof. We went kayaking on the river and my dog swam with a tracker attached to his collar. We tried to put it on the top of his neck, but he must have gone under to get the tracker wet. After drying out, the tracker stopped working. I've been unable to get a replacement tracker from the company. I was able to purchase a new tracker after contacting Petfon tech support.

The receiver is black, orange, green, and blue and it helps use the expandability function.
👤This is a great addition to the setup. It's easy to add and track another dog. Only the collar.
👤Product will be good for use.
👤The maps are easy to use and works great.
👤I like the set up of dogtra. I lose connection about a quarter of a mile.
Attach CUBE to anything and let the community be your search party. Are you taking family photos? CUBE is a shutter button for your phone.
👤I didn't want to pay 120 for a cat specific tracker because my cat is a house cat, however I would always get scared if I couldn't find her, or if I needed to put her away. She is a kitty. I can walk around with the cube and see the signal strength as I get closer. You can make the cube do a ping sound if you have at least one bar of close proximity. It's funny.
👤I lost my keys this week when I put them into a chip bag and then into the garbage can. It wasn't garbage day. I ripped apart my house to look for them. I was frantic because my house and car keys were on the ring. When you don't know where you lost your keys, good security sense says that you have to prepare for the possibility that someone will break into your home or steal your car. You can't know. It would have cost me $350 to reprogram my car's electronic locking system. I would have had to re-key my home. If my wife hadn't thought about it, I would have been out hundreds of dollars. This was the most anxious and close to miss I've had. I usually misplace the keys in 3 or 4 places. Each time is a hassle. I began to look at key finder technology. I started looking for reviews after finding a lot of companies that make these things. The Tile is the most well received unit. They last for a year before the battery dies. I don't want to be tied to a company's cash register just because of a battery, so I'm not buying new ones at a discount. The other key finder products had good and bad reviews, but I chose The Cube. Let me tell you what happened. I installed the app on three devices before receiving The Cubes. The Cube could only be used on one device. That has changed. I had created a Cube login so that I could see my devices on The Cube's web page, and I had also created a Cube account so that I could log on to each of my devices. When The Cubes arrived at my home, I linked them with my wife's phone and tested them. I opened The Cube's app on my phone and tablets and there was no extra hassle. I tested them on each device and they worked. I used The Cubes to ring the phones and tablets, and then used them as a remote shutter release to take photos. You will want to know how they work. They only use one device at a time. When my wife looks at The Cube's app on her phone, it tells her that my Cube is on my phone. She can't ring my cube. It can only be done with my phone. If I turn my phone off, I can take my phone out of the range or I can turn it off in a minute. She can ring my cube if it is lost. I had a cube that disconnected from a phone, but there was no apparent reason. The cube was touching my phone. The receiver may have been "swamped" by the phone. This is not a new occurrence. Within a minute or so, my phone found the cube when I separated the two. It wasn't instantaneous. If you lose your keys while your phone is away from The Cube, they will be disconnected. As you look for the keys, you need to proceed slowly so that the two have time to talk. Some people complained about The Cube's volume. Unless the surroundings are loud, it won't be screeching. The little button on the unit lights up when it goes off in the dark. I think the update when I affiliated The Cubes to my device apps may have fixed a lot of what others had complained about. Each unit can now be used with different devices. If you report your lost item to The Cube Community through the app, others will find it. I've been testing these things all day and they seem to work. I'll use the little tool that came with The Cube to open the case and insert the spare battery when the battery dies. I'll update this if I discover something I don't like. Today is July 14.

👤I had originally given this product 5 stars. A picture of my cat wearing a product was posted. Within 2 weeks, the tracker stopped giving me the right area at the right time to find and secure my pet. At one point, the tracker showed my cat was 4 miles away. I was trying to find him in the dark woods. He was in the yard. I almost had an attack of hyperventilation. I called customer service after trying to reset. None. I sent it back to Amazon after having 3 events like this within a few days. Get this! You can't cancel the subscription when you send it back. A whole 114 dollars was gone. They won't refunds. Don't purchase before you think. Thank you for reading. I hope this helps someone else.
👤It's a waste of money. The live tracking is useless, our dog ran off and it displayed where he had been but not where he was real time as it claims. I used email to contact customer service. I'm on day 6 waiting for a reply, I think I should get a refund for this product, it's not good, but I'll see if I get one.
👤We bought this for our cat. My goal was to keep an eye on where he goes and how often he crosses a busy street so we can decide if he should stay. We might use this tracker permanently going forward, since it was not the original plan. You can set a very precise digital fence. It was important to me to know when he crosses the street on our block. I was surprised that I could drag the fence lines up to the sidewalk. You can set any shape along any road or property line you need. You can see a heat map of where he went during the last 24 hours, and see where he spent less time. It's funny. I use this to find out how often he goes into areas that are less safe. See the picture. Live tracking works well if he's in a wooded area, but you get notifications when he enters/exits the digital fence. If I'm trying to bring him inside and need to know where to look for him, this helps. I don't worry about the physical tracker coming off because it has a secure connection piece to his collar. It is easy to charge, and I find it lasts a few days. I let my cat in and out. I can check the battery life before I let him out. If your cat has a door to come and go, I can see the battery life being a little annoying to monitor. The app sends a notification if the charge is low, so I think battery life and charging work well here. It's easy to use and gives me the information I need. His position doesn't always update for 30-40 minutes. I have to turn on Live Tracking to get a more current read if I check on where he is. I don't know if the app would have known if he crossed the fence. I worry I might not be able to call him back when he's crossing the road. The app doesn't seem to have gaps on his position when I look at his historical heat map. The tracker is big for a cat. I was worried that it was too heavy for his neck, but eventually I was comfortable connecting it to his collar. He doesn't seem to care about it anymore. My cat is about 12 pounds. See the picture. The activity/exercise tracking features are not necessary for an animal. I only use historical heat map features. When he went into a treed area, I lost signal for 45 minutes. It took me an hour to realize he was off the grid because the app didn't tell me a signal had been lost. I panicked because live tracking wouldn't work, since it hadn't happened before. After I walked the block calling for him, he popped out on the app close to home after ignoring my calls. I don't think that area is "heavily wooded." I have a lot of evergreen trees and mature landscaping on the block. If you live among a lot of trees, you could lose signal often. There was a gap in his historical heat map tracking for that period. I don't like paying for gps tracking. I'm willing to pay for it because the app works well and I get a precise location on him to solve my problem. The tracker's up front cost was low enough to cover the ongoing cost.
