The mount pattern for the 17mm ball is not included. An alternative to dash mounts won't block your view of the road. It's easy to use, just pop the ball joint into your existing caradle. 👤Have never been a fan of the mounts. This is my 4th vent/dash mount and it's the best. The mount I used to have was broken and replaced by this one. The mount is simple to use, you just tighten the knob and the 2 sturdy arms will fit around the vane in the vent. It seems very stable once it's tight, unlike some of the other mounts I've had. Since there aren't all sorts of spring- loaded clips and complicated mechanisms, there's less of a chance that this one will break. It was impossible to use in a rental car with very deep vanes because of the hook on the end of the arms. It looks like it will work on anything. I like that it keeps my gps off the top of the dash and puts my gps in a better position against the other instruments in my car.
👤I wanted to try this out since it was so small, and since I use a large weighted stand for my vehicle at home, it's great unless you have to carry it around in your carry-on at the airport. Even though the car had vertical vents, it worked great, even though I only used it once so far. I used the mount's tightener to snug it up to one of the vents, and never had to touch it again. It worked like it was supposed to, it never loosened up, and it didn't bounce too much. It took 10 seconds for me to loosen it and remove it from the car's vent. It's small enough to fit in the Amazon Basics gps case I have. I am very happy with this purchase.
👤It's important to rate the function of an attachment, not just its form. This holder seems to be made well and snaps onto the Garmin easily, but it seems to hold it well, albeit somewhat loose. The function is dependent on the strength of the vents that it is attached to. The vent on the dash on 3 different vehicles were not strong enough to hold the 6 inch device and with every turn the device flopped about the dash. It was useless because it never let go and stayed attached. It was difficult to see the face of the device when it pointed out the passenger window. I kept the device for future use, but will not be using it now. We now have 6 portable friction dashboard mounts, which I reverted to.
👤The heat and humidity in Florida made the cups not to hold my device on the car. The plastic invention solved the problem perfectly. Once it's secured, I can tilt the gps to adjust to where I want it. Simple idea and answers the need.
👤Very low profile. I was unsure if the Drive 60 was strong enough to hold it, but it works great! It works better on a straight vent than the vent on the dash that is slanted because the gps is so big. The straight vent has no vibration, but there is a slight vibration on the angle vent due to the gps touching the dash. Very small. I bought a spare one so I don't have to take it off the vent.
Don't get lost! This CD Slot mount is for keeping your NuviGPS with you all the time. Attach the mount to your CD slot. Clearing up the car's windshield is an alternative to the dash mounts. If you want to move your navigation system from one vehicle to another with the least amount of hassle, you can use an extra gps mount. The mount is not included. Only the base. It is compatible with all of the NuviGPS brackets that came with it. It is compatible with all of the NuviGPS brackets that came with it.
👤The mount from aps2car.com places the gps in a better viewing position than the original mount. It's close to my eyes, it's in the sweet spot of my variable focal glasses, and it eliminates the background glare. It's easier to see the gps screen against the dashboard. I still prefer this mount over the original because it vibrates when driving over rough roads. My MINI Cooper has a stiff suspension, and Wisconsin roads are terrible. The quality seems to be the same. This fits the CD slot in my car. I had to replace the original fastening knob with an allen-head fastening because it didn't clear the dash above the mount. Look at photos. The CD slot in my car is larger. The mount has tabs that can be adapted for a larger slot. I think that if your vehicle is new that shouldn't be a problem.
👤The CD slot on my truck is set back so that the screw doesn't have to be pressed against the button. I had to grind the three point knob to a circle to make it fit. Press against the top and bottom of the CD slot to secure it as you tighten the knob. I need the holder to be tight because it's holding a larger device than the Nuvi. I was happy with my purchase.
👤The ball fit is perfect, I bought this to mount my Nuvi 55. This unit is very good in the CD drive. It is against the law in Illinois to mount above the dashboard, and I recently found out. The top of the navigation unit in my car is mounted in this holder. The navigation device in my car does not interfere with the use of the radio. I like this mount.
👤It does what it is supposed to do, but I have concerns about it. Nobody looks at the other end because we are so worried that our model will fit. The holder's tab that fits into the CD slot is straight, but the player has a slight curve to it, so a good portion of the tab is sticking out of the player. I don't know if I want to trust the gps to stay in place over rough terrain, with the weight of the gps on the other end bouncing around. It may be the reason why it shakes for other reviewers. Make sure your CD slot is straight enough to accept most of the tab that's inserted into it, in addition to making sure your gps is compatible.
👤The CD slot was too close to the face of the CD player for the tightening knob to be close. I couldn't turn the knob to secure the unit. I replaced the knob with a screw that had the same thread and was able to secure the unit. It holds my gps. To trim the knob to a smaller diameter, you could replace the screw. The easiest way for me was the hex-head screw.
👤I have this to hold my gps in my car. It is sturdy enough to hold my gps. It hasn't moved or fallen off, it doesn't obstruct my view. It is easy to install. If you need a tighter hold on it since you put it in your CD player in your car, it doesn't use suction power. You can't use the CD player to listen to music. I listen to the radio most of the time. If you like to use your CD player in your car, then this isn't for you. It was perfect for me.

👤The screen on the RV770 fell off when we traveled across the country. The display would fall off if the mount was not holding it. I thought I would have to glue the ball mount to the bean bag mount. I was surprised that it was hard to get the ball in and then a very secure connection. I'm happy to be here for the rest of the trip. If you have a gps that can come off and you have the original brackets, these are awesome.
👤It's a shame that this isn't an own part anymore. This part isn't quite right. It's difficult to fit it on the ball because it's too small. I had to use oil to get it on and force it so hard that the metal ring came out. The gps does not "snap" on after all that.
👤This is a good value for the money, even though it is not a genuine part. If you are willing to do a little sanding or filing, it will work. It's not as polished as the original. It has some ruff edges. It took less than five minutes to clean it up so it wasn't tight to fit. I don't think the part is worth twice the price. I prefer the older mounts but they don't work with the new gps design. I'm guessing these won't last more than 3 years. When I need more, I will buy again. They arrived a few days after the order was placed. I can use my gps right away. Thanks.
👤The product is similar to the original one. I have not been able to use it yet because I need a piece of furniture. Prime shipping has no guarantee. The product I ordered and the one I received were supposed to have 2 days. I'm still waiting for the piece to arrive, it took 10 days. This is an issue with Amazon. I choose a vendor on prime who claims 2 days when I need something quickly and often pay more for it. If not shipped, Amazon should back their guarantee with something more. I'm buying more from Ebay because of this.
👤Quality is the reason why these are returned. The gps ball mount has a spring that tries to pop out. The tab that slides into the gps at the top is cast too thick and does not fit into the gps without being forced. I still have a part that works, but these are a flop because I ordered the real part at the same time. I can see using a $3 and having to force it together and break a $400 gps, no thanks.
👤It popped off when I tried to keep it on the back of the unit. I was going to break the unit if it stayed on because I wanted to get it on the ball. Got them today and will return them tomorrow.
👤I wonder if there is a place where Chinese cheap generic parts manufacturers can find good quality parts, if they want them really cheap. The part doesn't fit on the original hook. It looks like it will break into pieces the first time you open it. I am sending it back from where it came from.
There is an additional replacement gps mount for the Nuvi gps. Pull and push to adjust the length of the telescopic arm for easy reach. No nut to make the adjustment. The arm length was adjusted from 4.13 to 5.75 inch. The arm has a wide tilt angle. In. The long arm makes it easy to view and access your device. Press down the lever and the mount sticks to the dashboard. Before attaching the mount, the dashboard should be cleaned thoroughly to remove any dust or debris and free of any dashboard conditioners or other treatments. 👤I bought this mount for my Garman gps in March and have not used it since the beginning of May because the cup is not working. It was already out of its return window when it got hot. The construction of the moment Self is great, but it won't stick to the window, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If they read this review and want to send me a new one that works, I will upgrade my review, but as of right now, I would give it less than one star.
👤The mount for the suction cup is a super flexible rubber, that mounts onto the rough curved surface of my dashboard without the need for the included mounting disk. I didn't want to install the circular mounting permanently, so it was great that it wasn't required. The mount has a wide range of adjustments. It was easy to adjust. The ball is in place of Nuvi 750 and Nuvi 755.
👤I used this to hold my gps device. The cup was attached to my car. It is important that the window is clean. A big rig is not as smooth as a car is. I had a problem with the unit remaining affixed to the windshield if the part was fully extended. The heat did it in. The rubber cup came off when it started to melt. I had a piece of the cup on my car. I bought this mount in January and it failed in July. I want to say that the mount would be subject to extreme temperatures if affixed to a windshield and make a better product, but the other part of me understands that extreme heat puts undue stress on anything. I will do some research to see if I can find a better product for less money.
👤I used the APPS2 Car Dashboard Suction Sticky Mount to use my gps. The ball on this mount is the same as the ball on the mount that came with the Garmin 770. The mount uses a vacuum and is sticky, so it shouldn't have any trouble sticking to the F250. The arm on the mount moves up and down. The arm can't be locked in place when it slides in or out, but it can be moved in or out. Hopefully, the arm won't have to do it on its own. When extended, the arm is more than 1.5 inches. The arm can be locked vertically with a small knob on the joint. The lock seems to work. The sticky base plate on the mount can be applied to your car dash if it is relatively smooth. The mount sticks to the smooth side of the base, which will allow you to place it on your dash. My F250 doesn't have a smooth area where I want to place my gps, so I won't need this base at this time, and it will have to stick directly to the windshield. I don't know how long the base plate will last in the sun or heat on a car dash. If your car dash is leather or vinyl, the sticky base could mar this area when removed. The mount has mounting instructions and alcohol wipes. The mount seems to be a good one, except for the question of the arm extending in or out by itself, which should be a sturdy one.
Perfect compatible with all of the gps devices that come with a pattern. The measurement is 2.2inch and the height is 2.5inch. TheBall Socket Suction Cup holds firmly on to your windshield. ExtraGPS mounts are the perfect solution for moving your navigation system from one vehicle to another with less hassle. Don't ever lose your way. This mount will keep your Nuvi gps with you at all times. Attach the mount to your car with the help of a cup.
👤The diameter of the third-party mounts is not specified. They are too small and loose inside the sockets, causing the gps to droop. The defect for this product is mentioned by other reviewers. The seller has a list of compatible devices for my specific model of Garmin. Theuction-power of this mount seemed to be excellent. They were returned to Amazon. I will pay twice the price to try it. This larger cup is designed to provide extra-holding-power for the larger models. The actual diameter of the actual swivel ball is 17.2mm. If you want to fool with it, you can use a loose ball with a ring and a halo of electrical tape.
👤This is the second time I have had to replace this part. Is anyone else having that problem? The first one had a pin that loosened and fell off the car. I replaced it and that one fell after an hour. It's not good when you're speeding. I am happy that this came with two and so far, so good on the first one. It comes off easily. I have a back-up when it bites the dust.
👤The gps mount has a pretty powerful suction. It works well on road trips. It's easy to remove and store when not in use. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like to have an easy way to mount their gps system.
👤The mount holder works well. Most things, as well as I, do not have an amenity. The strength of the force is very good. Most of the time, the mount holder stays in place for weeks or months. When it falls onto the dash, it's not a problem to reattach. If you want to lock the cup back in place, you have to wet the back of the cup.
👤The item's spring snapped after four hours of use. The car's navigation system could have fallen in that place and caused an accident. I wouldn't buy this package again. I only gave it a one star because I couldn't give it a half star. It is very difficult to get to a drop off point to return an item in a remote area when you are on vacation, and Amazon is not helping that. Don't buy this item.
👤The Garmen's original windshield mount needed to be replaced. They will stick to the window, usually just a small amount of gling needs to be done. The ball size is too small, that's the bigger issue. The Garmen will fall out if they stay upright. I have a piece of paper in the cup to help me get a more secure fit on the second one. Quality control isn't there for the money I spend so I'm not too worried about it.
👤The cup works. The ball is small, so the device can move a bit when you hit bumps on the road.
👤I was worried that it would be difficult and expensive to replace the attachment part in our rental car, but I was able to find a two pack that is reasonably priced.
Amazon ships in Frustration-Free Packaging. The shape of the four-arm is similar to the dashboard. The ball mount is easy to attach to your cradle. The StreetPilot C5XX series is compatible with the nvi series. One-year limited warranty.
👤The AC vent holders block the air flow and the suction cup ones come loose right away, so I've tried all of the other mounts. I had to remove the AC grate clips when I wasn't using them. The clips are difficult to remove and insert. The cup was difficult to get to stick to. I decided to give it a try and am happy I did. This is on top of the dash of my Honda CR-V. This thing didn't budge a millimeter because I took some corners hard and did some hard stops. I can remove the gps from the dashboard and put it on the floor in front of the seat to get it out of view when I am parked. Simply put it back on the dashboard and I'll leave. I finally found a mount that works for me.
👤I don't know if this product works or not. I didn't get a chance to use it because it doesn't fit the DriveSmart 65. I was going to buy the DriveSmart from the store, but on the page where it states "Frequently Bought Together", there was a friction mount listed. I assumed it was made for the gps device I bought. I was wrong. This type of mount does not fit the DriveSmart base. I would like to see it removed from the recommendation listing. I don't like wasting money.
👤This thing is great. I rely on the voice assist on my gps to help me avoid looking down while driving, but sometimes it can't be avoided. I've tried a lot of different mounts over the years and this is my favorite. It stays on the top of my dashboard and is very well weighted. I can read the gps with a quick glance. One advantage of this is that once the mounting bar is in place, you can either lock it in place or leave it unlocked and it will turn around as needed. I will probably never lock it because the mounting bar doesn't turn without help. I have a compartment in my dashboard that I can put shade in if it is particularly sunny or if I am on a bumpy road.
👤The concept is great, but the ball where the gps is attached is too small for my gps, which causes the screen to flop down. I measure the diameter of my window mount ball to make sure it's not too big. The window mount is 17.21mm. The ball is about 16.86mm. It may not seem like much, but is the difference between a screed that stays where you point it or points at the floor after a few seconds of driving? I have only read about a couple customers with the same issue, so I assume it is not widespread, or people are more tolerant than I am.
👤I've had a gps device for 6 years and have gone through several cups. Their life ends and the gps falls onto the dashboard, scaring the person driving and anyone in the car. I was a bit hesitant about this purchase, but it really is amazing. The mount can be moved to another vehicle or taken down. The Garmin is in place as it should be. If only we could get the navigation unit to start packaging these babies.
Attach your portable navigator to the air vent in your vehicle with this mount. Attach the cradle to the air vent mount and secure the device.
👤These last about 2 years. It has a defect that makes it break. The rubber foot at the back is supposed to keep the top part from sliding. The foot is not very deep and lacks a hook. The stress of bouncing your car causes the top of the foot to crack. The holder loses its support and everything falls off. You have to get a new one when that happens. This is a nice holder. It has a wheel that can loosen or tighten it. The vent has the gps on it, so it's easy to see. It never slides out of reach like the dashboard ones. The last one I bought lasted less than four hours and the foot came completely off. Amazon replaced it and so far it is holding up.
👤There is a clarification for those who are reading the negative reviews about the air vent mount. The rubber-coated arms are tightened by a little wheel looking thing. The arms don't extend the full depth of the air vent blades. The arms have an incredible grip when the wheel is tightened. The rubber keeps them from sliding. I have used my mount on several rental cars and they all have no issues. This thing is tight and it doesn't matter how long the arms are. Hope this helps.
👤I bought two of these, one for a Ford Escape and one for a Toyota Camry. The Escape's vents are left and right. The Escape is not listed in the description as being in the category of not being compatible with. The mount fell off the vent in the Toyota Camry, but it worked well. The poor design of the mount caused it to break. I tried to return one or both of the mounts, but was denied. I contacted the company about the issues I encountered and never received a response. The listing says the mount is not compatible with some vehicles, but doesn't give a description of the vent style or a list of the vehicles it isn't compatible with, making it a gamble for the buyer. The larger screen units are the ones I use. I had issues with the Toyota Camry because of the increased weight of the gps. I don't have a lighterGPS to test this theory and I can't return either mount, so I'm not interested in testing it. If you decide to purchase this, use extreme caution. I thought it would work. I own 1 broken unit and 1 good unit that I can't do anything with except add to the landfill.
👤I was asked to rate it on its security features. It slides over one of the louvers in your vent, and you have to tighten it with a knob. If you drive the same car all the time, that's it. It won't fall out of the squeeze my sides holder when you hit a bump. If you want to hide the gps from view, you can remove it from that vehicle by holding the vent and removing it at the ball. I drive a lot of different cars. I usually loosen the knob to remove my unit so I don't damage it. I like it.
This ball mount is not compatible with RV 890. Extra long gout arm. The aluminum long arm can bend up to 13 inches for various visual angles to your liking, making it easy to mount the gps on the dashboard without blocking the field of view. The gps dash mount is made of a sticky gel and a locking lever that will not come undone or slip off, and you can easily mount it on most flat surfaces. The anti-shake stabilizer is held in place by the strong sticky cup ball mount. A replacement gps holder is an alternative to gps air vent mount holder, gps friction beanbag mount holder and gps dash pad. The fit for Drivesmart 50 is wide. RV 660 760 770 (LMT LMT-S), Nuvi cam, and Zumo are all part of the LMT NA. The StreetPilot DriveLuxe Aera DriveRrack series is one of them.
👤The unit is not compatible with the RV. The mount is too small. Unless there is a change out ball for the mount, the unit will have to be returned.
👤I bought this as a replacement for a previous design that was mounted directly to the windshield with a short, rigid extension. The new version has a longer "gooseneck" and a better cup that grips like a vise. My initial impressions are that it will hold up, but it's not certain if it will hold up to the constant vibration and sunlight that weaken mounts over time. If you don't need the reach of the previous version, the gooseneck may be a better choice. I quickly realized that mounting my gps to the fully extended gooseneck without thestabilizer was not a good idea. At the end of the "stalk," my gps swayed and jiggled at the bumps in the road. I didn't think there was a risk of it coming loose, but the bouncing was very distracting. In my preferred mounting location, there isn't a good place to add the stabilizer, so I looked for another location where I could brace the gooseneck or the gps against something solid. I put the gps on top of the dash and mounted it directly in front of my driving position. The two points of stability provided by this may not be the best solution for safety reasons. It's helpful to have the gps positioned so close to the controls. Having a constantly moving display right in my line of sight is not good. I think the previous version was better for my needs, even though I may get used to it in time. It was long enough to keep the gps within easy reach, but off to the side where it didn't compete for my attention. I may try to figure out a way to move the mount back to the side with the bracing.
👤My car is a Chrysler Town and Country. I need a long mounting device to be used in my day-to-day driving with my gps device. Your product is very sturdy. The mounting attachment on my Garmin model should work fine even though it isn't listed in the product description. I noticed that the mounting ball doesn't snap into the back of my Garmin nearly as securely as the stanchion that comes with the typical auto units. I'm not sure if it's a problem yet, but I'm sure a good bounce in the water here in Michigan will knock it off the mount. It has solved my issue with locating my gps device. This mount has long-reach, exaggerated sloped windshields.
👤It's a great gps holder. It holds my gps very well. The ball fits well to the gps sockets and the suction is very strong. It does not come with brackets, so I give it 4 stars. If you need brackets to hold your phone, you're out of luck because it doesn't include them with it. You have to look for a different model. I only need it to hold my 7 inch gps and I am very happy with it.
Provides stability and mobility. The dashboard is secured with a non-skid bottom. The base molds can fit any car. The arm folds down for storage. The new design is lighter in weight and more flexible. The integrated arm can be folded down to make it easier to store in an automobile or luggage. Transferring from car to car is easy.
👤Does what I hoped it would do. It was mounted on the dash. Has not moved. See the photo.
👤There are a lot of good things to say about this mount, however, there is one bad thing and it's enough for a 1 star review. After only one day on my car, the sticky underside left marks on my dash that were not visible in the hot weather. There is a place where the mount touched the dash. I haven't found a way to fix the issue yet, so buyer beware, it may cause your dash to be discolored. I don't think it's worth the risk. I'm very upset about this. Don't learn the hard way like I did.
👤Works as described. This worked well for me because of the prior reviews and videos. I found out that it was illegal to have a gps device on a car. Although I have been stopped by cops in states where it was stated to be illegal, no one has ever mentioned its placement was a problem, I have it as far as a lower left corner. I can fold it down, it's easy to install, the weight is enough to keep it in place, and it's a perfect match for the Garmin series. I have it in the same place I had the suction cup, but it's on the dash now, and I don't have to worry about mounting and removing it, as I can just put the gps down on the dash stable.
👤Doesn't stick to the dashboard. Every time I make a turn, my gps goes off the dashboard, and it detaches from the mount. The mount is no longer flat because both sides are curling up, and it doesn't stick well enough to become flat again. The item is pretty useless.
👤I have two of these and my biggest complaint is that they leave a greasy stain on the dashboard which is hard to remove. I've tried soap and water, cleaner sprays, green clean, alcohol, and other things, but nothing removes it. The base is flexible so you have to make it conform to your dashboard every time you use it. It is a good base for my units.
👤I've tried a few other mounts but this one is the best. I use it with my Nuvi. It stays put even when it goes through some turns. You can form it to your dashboard. Very happy with the product.
👤Each of our cars has one of these. I don't understand why anyone would use something else to hold their gps. The bottom is slide resistant. The base is flexible so you can fit it to the dash of your car. A great product. One review said that it slid all over the place. The person probably didn't remove the protective plastic from the base. When I received the last one, I didn't notice the plastic, but it was all over the place. The plastic stays in place if you remove it.
For the StreetPilot C500. This cup is used to secure your device to a smooth surface. Not included is the mount.
👤Leave it to the navigator. I can't take the mount off my car because the force on my car is so strong that I can't take it off myself. The plastic lever that was used to tighten the mount fell off the assembly onto my center console. When I put the unit back in place, I noticed it had very little Torque. They have to be replaced once they break. Anyway, now. I can't remove the mount from the lever even when I release it. I would break the plastic on the replacement unit if I tried harder. I usually remove the Garmin from my car at night as the entire unit/suction cup mount and the Garmin itself were falling onto my center console due to excessive heat build up in the morning. Not anymore! ! I put the gps device in my center console storage compartment and leave the mount on the car. In the morning, I attach the gps device to the plastic ball, and that's it. The unit is much stronger than the mount that came with it. If you want to buy a navigation unit, invest $11 and buy the Suction Cup Mount from the store, as it's way more durable and tight. Keep the mount that comes with the Garmin as a backup. The replacement unit fits my device perfectly. The replacement unit will fit the part, so no worries. Thanks to Amazon for keeping the replacement parts in stock and to Garmin for manufacturing the replacement parts that naturally need to be replaced over time. I am very happy with this replacement mount. Don't hesitate to buy it. It's better than the one that came with the unit. It is amazing.
👤I had the cup for about a year. It doesn't stick to the car for more than 10 minutes. I like to use a gps device instead of my phone. I had to go back to my phone because it was embarrassing to have the gps fall into the lap of a client. It does not suck is a bad thing. Very disappointed. It's a pity.
👤This is the same version that I bought before. I'm glad I read that review. I encourage everyone to do the same. It works better than a knock off, but it costs more, so it's better to stick to the windshield. It seemed like the knock off mount would come undone when I was in heavy traffic, I don't know about anyone else. I like to use both my phone's navigation and my phone's navigation just in case the phone loses signal.
👤A year ago we bought a solar powered back up camera for our car. The original mount was not compatible with the dash and would not fit. We ordered a mount that came with a disk that you can mount to a textured surface, then mount the cup directly onto the disk. It has been great so far. The original was thrown away because it was so bad.

👤I use this for a gps and it's not very strong. The gps goes off the left or right. You have to adjust it constantly. On the bottom, where you can set your phone, it slides forwards and backwards to adjust the viewing angle. It doesn't stay where you put it after a week and a half of use. I don't recommend this for a small device.
👤There were problems with all the different devices I tried to hold my gps to. The biggest annoyance I found was that the brackets that held the gps in place would often engage the screen when I accelerated or braked, throwing up different screens, or adding weird things to it. The product is not perfect, but it is better than any other I have tried, allowing me to use my tablets on my dash. I have to change it about once a day as it slips a little but that is not a big deal. I think this product is very good.
👤I really like it. When you put 3m tape on a surface it will stick and it's hard to get it off, so you have to move it. When you find a spot you want to use, make sure you do it first. I have a 7" gps and it works great.
👤I've been happy with the unit and the price. I needed a touchscreen interface for my phone, and it works well. When everything works out. I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket. Happy with that. It definitely doesn't have decent ground loop cancellation, despite the description. I had to add one more. The mount didn't work for my car. I wanted to move it between vehicles so I wouldn't use the glue every time. I bought a different one. Sometimes the unit forgets that it's connected to my phone. I have to do it again. It seems to happen after I have a new device connected, like my headphones.
👤This was used to setup the backup camera display in our truck. Doesn't adhere to the dashboard surface. The clam shell is not tight. We make the tiniest turn when our display slides out. I may have another purpose for it, I'm going to hold onto it.
👤I wanted a heads-up holder that didn't involve permanent glue or suction cups. This was the perfect fit for my car. It looks like an add-on because it matches my dashboard.
👤The corner of the dash is too wide for this to be used in, because the window slants there. The sticky pad base is good for the dash surface. The corner of the dash in my Ford Fiesta is where I will use the wider clamshell. We will see how that goes, I haven't used it yet.
👤The mount holds my RV at the perfect angle in my truck. The recess is in the middle of the dash. The mount slide has not been used in a tight turn. My cell phone is held in place when the gps is not on. It would be easy to hide it when not in use since it isn't perma-mounted. I gave the unit a 1-star because it doesn't have any power. It does not need it. Very happy.
