👤Solid and not likely to break. The anchor and stem are made from metal. The range of motion on attached devices makes it easier to get the perfect angle. The vanes of your vent will not be marked by the rubber coated clamps. If you have vents with narrow vertical slots, the clamps are going to be wide to fit. I think most modern cars will be okay, they are about an inch wide, so you will want to measure before buying. They put the vertical vanes behind the horizontal vanes. It wouldn't be stabile since the feet are facing the wrong way, but it would work on a vent where the outer vanes are vertical.
👤If you buy mini 2 for its compact size, the mount is too big for it, as seen in the photo. The photo shows the original mount. I use this on a small sport shield on my motorcycle, but the mount is too big for me.
👤I was impressed by the number of adapters included in the box. I thought this was great. I found the correct accessory for my dash cam, and I was ready to go. The thing won't stick to the window with the cup. I didn't use the pad because I wanted to be able to move the device between the two vehicles that I drive. I can't use it because I'm not happy with it.
👤I wanted this to hold a powered cell phone holder in my car and they keep falling. Gave this a try and so far it holds, but I noticed I had to tighten the tightener to hold the weight. The only base that sticks with double sided tape is not a fan. Pick and choose your battles.
👤Does not work with the Dash cam. The balls are too big. The little barbells I got were the same size and didn't fit the smaller joint.
👤I have tried many similar products and all have broken in a short period of time. The hooked edge makes it catch the vent lip better. The minicell foam gives the clip a good grip on the vent lip. This seems like a better model than the ones I've used before.
👤I was able to install my Uniden R3 Radar Detector on my rear view mirror using this product and pieces of the suction cup mount that came with it. $10 Yes, ten bucks! After driving around for a couple of days, the mount is adequate but my Radar Detector is shaky on bumpy roads and highway speed. I added a support between the top of the RD and the bottom of the rear view mirror to eliminate the vibration. Will get a more appealing support. Lowered from 5 to 4 stars. It's still a good value. You will be pleased if you spend the money on a Blendmount.
👤I needed to modify the concept with my broken gps mount to get it to work. The gps was blocking my mirror and was facing downward. After removing my old gps mount and adding an extra pivot point, I was able to use my gps along with the mirror and dim the mirror at night. It's a lot better than using a suction cup and it falling off the window and leaving those annoying marks, with some modifications it's a lot better.
The plastic is very durable and strong. It is easy to take from car to car. Extra support leg is added to the clips on the horizontal car air vent. A custom fit cradle for the Nuvi 50 Series. Keep your gps in a safe place by using a ball-and-socket style. Keep your gps in a safe place by using a ball-and-socket style.
👤To fit the clip in the holes at the bottom of the knife, you have to use a utility knife to adjust the two ridges. It was a lot cheaper than an exact fit.
👤It was difficult to get the replacement brackets onto the ball from the mount.
👤The lower part was a separate item that didn't do a good job of holding the base to the vents. The whole thing is unstable because the "legs" can't be kept close. I can't recommend to buy it. I had a similar item from another manufacturer that was so stable that it was hard to take it off from the vents. I will try to find that one and post it here.
👤It is too small. For my dog. I can try again for $6.
👤I had to disassemble it before I could fit the ball in the sockets. The compression ring made the sockets too tight. To fit the 17mm ball. Remove the silver ring, slip over the arm, and insert the ball to get the compression band back on. It was within a millimeter of returning it. At least give instructions if they are hard.
👤It works well, but in hot weather it falls off the window. I am very happy with it.
👤The information said it was compatible with the Garmin 50 LM. It did not come close. It is too small. I'm not going to send it back because it's not worth the gas. It might be ok for a large gps, but not my one.
👤It was what I needed. The gps and cupholder are in perfect condition. Came quickly.
👤I didn't really need this, but to return the item nearly equaled the cost, I was unaware that one was provided with the Sat Nav. Have kept it for the future.

👤This is the first mount that stays in place.
👤The lip is thick and it does not fit the device. I should have spent more money on the genuine part as it is headed for the trash. A useless purchase.
👤It doesn't fit the garmin 61. The reviews will say the same if you head over to other similar products. I sanded it down and it will fit now. It is a bit later.
👤It's easy to install. Does the job involve putting the gps in perfect view. Buy it.
Don't get lost! This CD Slot mount is for keeping your NuviGPS with you all the time. Attach the mount to your CD slot. Clearing up the car's windshield is an alternative to the dash mounts. If you want to move your navigation system from one vehicle to another with the least amount of hassle, you can use an extra gps mount. The mount is not included. Only the base. It is compatible with all of the NuviGPS brackets that came with it. It is compatible with all of the NuviGPS brackets that came with it.
👤The mount from aps2car.com places the gps in a better viewing position than the original mount. It's close to my eyes, it's in the sweet spot of my variable focal glasses, and it eliminates the background glare. It's easier to see the gps screen against the dashboard. I still prefer this mount over the original because it vibrates when driving over rough roads. My MINI Cooper has a stiff suspension, and Wisconsin roads are terrible. The quality seems to be the same. This fits the CD slot in my car. I had to replace the original fastening knob with an allen-head fastening because it didn't clear the dash above the mount. Look at photos. The CD slot in my car is larger. The mount has tabs that can be adapted for a larger slot. I think that if your vehicle is new that shouldn't be a problem.
👤The CD slot on my truck is set back so that the screw doesn't have to be pressed against the button. I had to grind the three point knob to a circle to make it fit. Press against the top and bottom of the CD slot to secure it as you tighten the knob. I need the holder to be tight because it's holding a larger device than the Nuvi. I was happy with my purchase.
👤The ball fit is perfect, I bought this to mount my Nuvi 55. This unit is very good in the CD drive. It is against the law in Illinois to mount above the dashboard, and I recently found out. The top of the navigation unit in my car is mounted in this holder. The navigation device in my car does not interfere with the use of the radio. I like this mount.
👤It does what it is supposed to do, but I have concerns about it. Nobody looks at the other end because we are so worried that our model will fit. The holder's tab that fits into the CD slot is straight, but the player has a slight curve to it, so a good portion of the tab is sticking out of the player. I don't know if I want to trust the gps to stay in place over rough terrain, with the weight of the gps on the other end bouncing around. It may be the reason why it shakes for other reviewers. Make sure your CD slot is straight enough to accept most of the tab that's inserted into it, in addition to making sure your gps is compatible.
👤The CD slot was too close to the face of the CD player for the tightening knob to be close. I couldn't turn the knob to secure the unit. I replaced the knob with a screw that had the same thread and was able to secure the unit. It holds my gps. To trim the knob to a smaller diameter, you could replace the screw. The easiest way for me was the hex-head screw.
👤I have this to hold my gps in my car. It is sturdy enough to hold my gps. It hasn't moved or fallen off, it doesn't obstruct my view. It is easy to install. If you need a tighter hold on it since you put it in your CD player in your car, it doesn't use suction power. You can't use the CD player to listen to music. I listen to the radio most of the time. If you like to use your CD player in your car, then this isn't for you. It was perfect for me.
Attach your portable navigator to the air vent in your vehicle with this mount. Attach the cradle to the air vent mount and secure the device.
👤These last about 2 years. It has a defect that makes it break. The rubber foot at the back is supposed to keep the top part from sliding. The foot is not very deep and lacks a hook. The stress of bouncing your car causes the top of the foot to crack. The holder loses its support and everything falls off. You have to get a new one when that happens. This is a nice holder. It has a wheel that can loosen or tighten it. The vent has the gps on it, so it's easy to see. It never slides out of reach like the dashboard ones. The last one I bought lasted less than four hours and the foot came completely off. Amazon replaced it and so far it is holding up.
👤There is a clarification for those who are reading the negative reviews about the air vent mount. The rubber-coated arms are tightened by a little wheel looking thing. The arms don't extend the full depth of the air vent blades. The arms have an incredible grip when the wheel is tightened. The rubber keeps them from sliding. I have used my mount on several rental cars and they all have no issues. This thing is tight and it doesn't matter how long the arms are. Hope this helps.
👤I bought two of these, one for a Ford Escape and one for a Toyota Camry. The Escape's vents are left and right. The Escape is not listed in the description as being in the category of not being compatible with. The mount fell off the vent in the Toyota Camry, but it worked well. The poor design of the mount caused it to break. I tried to return one or both of the mounts, but was denied. I contacted the company about the issues I encountered and never received a response. The listing says the mount is not compatible with some vehicles, but doesn't give a description of the vent style or a list of the vehicles it isn't compatible with, making it a gamble for the buyer. The larger screen units are the ones I use. I had issues with the Toyota Camry because of the increased weight of the gps. I don't have a lighterGPS to test this theory and I can't return either mount, so I'm not interested in testing it. If you decide to purchase this, use extreme caution. I thought it would work. I own 1 broken unit and 1 good unit that I can't do anything with except add to the landfill.
👤I was asked to rate it on its security features. It slides over one of the louvers in your vent, and you have to tighten it with a knob. If you drive the same car all the time, that's it. It won't fall out of the squeeze my sides holder when you hit a bump. If you want to hide the gps from view, you can remove it from that vehicle by holding the vent and removing it at the ball. I drive a lot of different cars. I usually loosen the knob to remove my unit so I don't damage it. I like it.
The spring lock holder will fit any 3-7 inch gps and cell phones with a unique Anti-slip Jello Block under the mount that will stick on to your dashboard and be easy to clean with water. The device stays on the dash with the help of the weighted body and anti-slip bottom. The APPS2Car Beanbag Mount is easy to attach a gps / cell phone unit to your car, and five slots allow you to adjust your device in multiple angles. One of the best alternatives to mount a car on a truck is to use a cell phone. No cradle needed! No magnets, no harm to your device! The heat made the cup fall off. There is no interference with the air conditioner or the cd player. The Nuvi 1100 1200 is compatible with the portable Friction Mount. etc There is a car mount for all of the phones, including the Note 10 9 and the S10e S9 S8 Note 9. 👤This would be a good design for a gps holder. This thing does not stay put. I quote: " Find your sweet spot and put down the sticker, then put the unit on it." The thing will become airborne after you take a 2 mph turn.
👤I have been using this for over two years. It holds my car. I drive a 2500HD. I've never had it move. Some of the reviews say that theirs moves around, but I drive around construction sites and roll down the highway, and it has always stayed in place. I'm very happy with this. I don't move my device. On hot sunny days, the mount would fall off.
👤One needs to keep a clear view of the road ahead and to obviate the vacuum holding your gps to a windshield from failing and dropping in traffic and/or repeatedly. It is easy to move in traffic. There is a It's best to wait a while, maybe forever, from sticking it to one spot on the dash or console. You will want to take it with you to another vehicle occasionally, but you will want to change it from time to time.
👤The issues that I had with this Mount may be different to what I've had before. Is it ok for other gps models? The power cord must be connected to use the traffic detector feature of the 2455. The power switch is located at the lop left of the unit and the power cord is located at the bottom left. To allow for minimum clearance between the plug and the grip "tooth" of theGPS Mount while providing access to theGPS power switch, theGPS must be shifted to one side. The grip on the opposite side of the mount does not provide a secure grip to the gps. Photoe 3. Issue #2. There is a non-stick gel substance at the bottom of the gps mount. The bottom surface of the Mount is flat. It was difficult to find a flat surface for the non-slip gel to grip on the front console of my vehicles. A better design would have been a flexible bottom surface. As dust accumulates on the substance, gel-type non-stick substances lose their effectiveness. Positives. The design is easy to store and may be a good mount for many gps, but not for a garmin. The concept is ok, but a few changes away from an excellent gps mount design.
👤I've used this to hold my electronics. It holds both securely. I need to wash the sticky area on the bottom of the mount to remove the dust after the mount slides a bit. It is guaranteed to elicit further security screening when I take it with me when I fly and rent a car. If you want to keep your luggage and carry-on bag free of TSA, you should put it in a screening bin. They can't see through it, so it gets swabbed.
👤I wanted a holder that wouldn't require me to block an a/c vent, so I chose this one. It was easy to figure out because it works like a giant clothes pin and the gps sits securely in the ridged "mouth". It's weighted with a non-slip bottom that's about the size of my open hand, so it doesn't slip when placed on the dash. I didn't want to use the peel-and-stick pad that was on the bottom. I would rather have the option of taking the gps off the dash when it's not being used, and not leaving a sticky glue mess. It's what I needed since the windshield cup on my old gps didn't fit well.
Perfect compatible with all of the gps devices that come with a pattern. The measurement is 2.2inch and the height is 2.5inch. TheBall Socket Suction Cup holds firmly on to your windshield. ExtraGPS mounts are the perfect solution for moving your navigation system from one vehicle to another with less hassle. Don't ever lose your way. This mount will keep your Nuvi gps with you at all times. Attach the mount to your car with the help of a cup.
👤The diameter of the third-party mounts is not specified. They are too small and loose inside the sockets, causing the gps to droop. The defect for this product is mentioned by other reviewers. The seller has a list of compatible devices for my specific model of Garmin. Theuction-power of this mount seemed to be excellent. They were returned to Amazon. I will pay twice the price to try it. This larger cup is designed to provide extra-holding-power for the larger models. The actual diameter of the actual swivel ball is 17.2mm. If you want to fool with it, you can use a loose ball with a ring and a halo of electrical tape.
👤This is the second time I have had to replace this part. Is anyone else having that problem? The first one had a pin that loosened and fell off the car. I replaced it and that one fell after an hour. It's not good when you're speeding. I am happy that this came with two and so far, so good on the first one. It comes off easily. I have a back-up when it bites the dust.
👤The gps mount has a pretty powerful suction. It works well on road trips. It's easy to remove and store when not in use. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like to have an easy way to mount their gps system.
👤The mount holder works well. Most things, as well as I, do not have an amenity. The strength of the force is very good. Most of the time, the mount holder stays in place for weeks or months. When it falls onto the dash, it's not a problem to reattach. If you want to lock the cup back in place, you have to wet the back of the cup.
👤The item's spring snapped after four hours of use. The car's navigation system could have fallen in that place and caused an accident. I wouldn't buy this package again. I only gave it a one star because I couldn't give it a half star. It is very difficult to get to a drop off point to return an item in a remote area when you are on vacation, and Amazon is not helping that. Don't buy this item.
👤The Garmen's original windshield mount needed to be replaced. They will stick to the window, usually just a small amount of gling needs to be done. The ball size is too small, that's the bigger issue. The Garmen will fall out if they stay upright. I have a piece of paper in the cup to help me get a more secure fit on the second one. Quality control isn't there for the money I spend so I'm not too worried about it.
👤The cup works. The ball is small, so the device can move a bit when you hit bumps on the road.
👤I was worried that it would be difficult and expensive to replace the attachment part in our rental car, but I was able to find a two pack that is reasonably priced.
It is secured onto horizontal and vertical car air vents with a support leg. The clip design has two cord catchers. The nuvi gps devices have a 17mm ball mounting pattern.
👤It worked, but only two things kept it from being a 5. One of the clips is very hard to open. It takes some finger strength to get it on. Nothing can be fixed because the ball is a little smaller, but the gps unit is not as tight as it should be. The product was very good. It was used for a G6 which had circular vents. It works great.
👤It was much more compact than I expected. Sturdy and doesn't let the phone flop around. It's nice to be able to angle the phone in all directions. The 17mm ball is popular for lightweight mounts so I was able to find a good magnet attachment. The clip on the back will allow for vertical mounts.
👤A useful air vent mount is simple, compact and effective, but you need strong fingers. The redesign lasted one use in my car.
👤Don't waste your money, it broke the first time I used it. I was happy when I first saw the Volvo station wagon, I thought it might work. The whole thing fell apart when I put it in my glove box. It was like I got it out of a gum ball machine.
👤A replacement has worked well after an initial problem with the item. The first issue may have been caused by a manufacturing defect. The company and Amazon were great. When not in use, the gps can be seen when needed. Thanks to Arkon and Amazon for their help.
👤Holds the device well! It's awkward to clip on.
👤I found it works well and keeps my gps device off the road. The attachment clip is a bit difficult to use, but once you get used to it, it's not a problem.
👤I have owned a lot of the best mounts. The lower 'leg' or brace keeps it from giggling. The air vents have a strong grip on it, so I use needle nose pliers to spread it.
👤The product broke after about 7 months of use. I had to remove it from the vehicle after every shift as I used it for work. It worked well during the summer. The rubber on the vent grip started to melt as the weather got cold in Canada. The rubber was gone over a few months. I tried to attach it to the vent at the start of my shift, but the spring loaded vent grip snapped. It is useless now. It was a great product, but it cost $25 for 7 months. It worked great and held up during the warmer months, so I gave it 3 stars. I am stuck with a broken device as the return policy has expired.
👤I like the fact that you don't rely on the cup to fit in the window. The gps fell to the floor when mine fell off. I like that the gps is no longer blocking my line of vision and that it is not on the car. The vent clip is at the top left in the picture. The piece is at the bottom. The mount is stable if it rests on the edge of the vent. We wondered how we were going to stop the vent from rolling down with the weight of the gps. Everything was thought of by the makers. The car mount holder is not to blame for the fact that the gps sits a lot closer to you than it did before. We bought a bigger gps. If you know you want to mount your gps this way, think about that before you buy it. I love this mount. It would be a good idea to use the suction cup.
The diameter is 2.2inch and the height is 2.5inch. The package includes a car gps holder. All of the gps devices come with a ball sockets pattern. The Ball Socket Suction Cup holds on to your car's window. Extra gps mounts are a great solution for moving your navigation system from one vehicle to another with less hassle. Don't lose your way. This mount will keep your Nuvi gps with you at all times. Attach the mount to your car with the help of a cup. Don't lose your way. This mount will keep your Nuvi gps with you at all times. Attach the mount to your car with the help of a cup.
👤The original mount that came with my navigation system looked exactly like this replacement one. The mount's knob is so small that it causes the device to sit in the sockets. I decided to keep the unit because it was cheap. I put a finger tip off of a latex glove and cut it into a ball, and so far it is gripping the device well. Hope this helps anyone else.
👤I bought this to replace a mount that is 10 years old. This product doesn't work, so how does it compare to a 10 year old Garmin? The new mount looks like it. The 10-year-old Garmin mount has a cone shape rubber suction while the modern one is flat. The ball on the Garmin is textured and polished smooth. It is worthless. My car is flat and no one held it for more than 30 seconds. It wouldn't hold for more than 5 minutes after I attached my gps, even after cleaning the window and trying to add some water. Worthless stability. The ball is so smooth there is no need for a mount. The gps starts to slowly tilt down before it falls off the car. If you like the other guy, you could cut a latex glove to fix the ball that is slightly smaller than the mount. In short. You can save a dollar by using one of the official mounts. You won't bruise your leg if your gps falls on you or your passenger in the car.
👤We misplace a few of the gps unit holders. We got these for a replacement because we were tired of having to track the remaining holder from one car to another. The replacement holds the units securely. Highly recommended.
👤The mounts popped apart. Several did not make it past a test on the bathroom mirror after the first fell apart in my car.
👤Very impressed with the power. During the summer months. The rubber pad fails.
👤Terrible fit. The cup is not strong. Don't buy.
👤The display was used to display a navigation device.

👤I use this for a gps and it's not very strong. The gps goes off the left or right. You have to adjust it constantly. On the bottom, where you can set your phone, it slides forwards and backwards to adjust the viewing angle. It doesn't stay where you put it after a week and a half of use. I don't recommend this for a small device.
👤There were problems with all the different devices I tried to hold my gps to. The biggest annoyance I found was that the brackets that held the gps in place would often engage the screen when I accelerated or braked, throwing up different screens, or adding weird things to it. The product is not perfect, but it is better than any other I have tried, allowing me to use my tablets on my dash. I have to change it about once a day as it slips a little but that is not a big deal. I think this product is very good.
👤I really like it. When you put 3m tape on a surface it will stick and it's hard to get it off, so you have to move it. When you find a spot you want to use, make sure you do it first. I have a 7" gps and it works great.
👤I've been happy with the unit and the price. I needed a touchscreen interface for my phone, and it works well. When everything works out. I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket. Happy with that. It definitely doesn't have decent ground loop cancellation, despite the description. I had to add one more. The mount didn't work for my car. I wanted to move it between vehicles so I wouldn't use the glue every time. I bought a different one. Sometimes the unit forgets that it's connected to my phone. I have to do it again. It seems to happen after I have a new device connected, like my headphones.
👤This was used to setup the backup camera display in our truck. Doesn't adhere to the dashboard surface. The clam shell is not tight. We make the tiniest turn when our display slides out. I may have another purpose for it, I'm going to hold onto it.
👤I wanted a heads-up holder that didn't involve permanent glue or suction cups. This was the perfect fit for my car. It looks like an add-on because it matches my dashboard.
👤The corner of the dash is too wide for this to be used in, because the window slants there. The sticky pad base is good for the dash surface. The corner of the dash in my Ford Fiesta is where I will use the wider clamshell. We will see how that goes, I haven't used it yet.
👤The mount holds my RV at the perfect angle in my truck. The recess is in the middle of the dash. The mount slide has not been used in a tight turn. My cell phone is held in place when the gps is not on. It would be easy to hide it when not in use since it isn't perma-mounted. I gave the unit a 1-star because it doesn't have any power. It does not need it. Very happy.
ULTRA-STICKY PHONE MOUNT BASE: A common problem is that the mount fall off easily after a while. You can determine the location by looking at your line of sight. It is accompanied by two tapes. Most phone mounts. Most phone mounts have nut structure in the market. It is very easy to reuse a broken mount. It's compatible with the Nuvi 1200, 1260T, 1300, 1350, 1350T, 1370T, 1390T, 1450, 1490T, 1690, 200, 200W, 205, 205W, 250, 250W, 255, There is a Stable Ball Glove. 17mm is the diameter of the ball plunger. The mount can be mounted on the air vent or the base they configured. It is stable when your car is on the road. You don't need any other operation tools. The gps dash mount is sturdy and durable. The package does not include the gps and mobile phone brackets.
👤I bought this to hold my device as I got tired of it falling when the weather warms and the mount on my phone gave up. Does hold it well. I found out the hard way that the base of the car is not flexible enough. I tried to remove the top edge of the base, but it kept coming loose, and the glue on the lower edge was not interested in letting go once it got a good grip. I had to work hard to remove the remaining gunk from the dash and base after I got the base off. I relocated the base to a flat spot on the dash after I got a couple strips of 3M trim tape from my garage. It'll be a lot easier to move it in the future now that it's firmly mounted. A little heat and a slow pull will come off nicely. I don't want to mount this to one of the vents as my vent assembly is not strong enough to hang this from, and I also don't want to block a vent with anything.
👤I don't know what happened with this mount, but it didn't stick like I expected. I used alcohol to finish off the dash surface and I thought it was fine. After the second day it fell off the dash, I tried to keep it on, but it wouldn't hold more than a few hours and every time it came off. I gave up because it was usless and I stuck it back on.
👤I needed the exact mount for my screen. The ball can fit many things. I mounted the pad on top of the plastic trim panels with the help of the glue. Problem solved. The ball was connected to the base with a broken piece of the clamp. The other one was put in the box. It broke a month later. I stuck the ball to the mount. Problem solved. You should not have to fix this because it is poorly designed.
👤One clip broke when I tried to remove it from the base. Some reviewers report that the clips are malfunctioning. The other clip did not fail that test. 👤This product broke when mounted on my gps twice, because you get a set of two and both of them broke in the same place.
👤I wanted this but one of the items broke and the glue was not as strong as it should have been, so I had to glue it to my car.
👤I don't think this is large enough to provide long term stability. The thing started out firm but is now very bouncy.
👤I need something for a specific spot. The range of angles did not include the one I needed. It was surprising. It is still recommended. It's much more sturdy than you might think.
